Great length
Glad I went for the long length. Can comfortably charge near me so phone is in answering range without having to disconnect. Durable cord, connects easily. Hopefully, will be long lasting
Great purchase
I have now bought two of these cables, Both have been excellent quality, and at a good price. If I need any more cables I would look to buy from here again first.
Good quality cable
I purchased this cable for my son who is delighted with it and commented that it is the best quality cable that he has seen an I’ve got to agree.Time will tel on its longevity.
fantastic cable love i
he cable i recieved kept falling out i left feedback as such.. without even being asked the seller contacted me and remedied the issue the replacement cable works a treat i wouldnt hesitate to use them again the after care is above and beyond THANKYOU ZHP TECH
Perfect for ROG Ally
I bought this for my ROG Ally and mainly use it with a 100w powerbank and works without an issue. No problem with charge or data speeds and quality is great.
Cable feels extremely sturdy and fits snuggly in type C port, probably a weird comment but it’s not loose at all which is nice. Only small issue is the cable itself is a bit stiff and sometimes feels like it wants to twist the device but that’s just a caviat of the braided cable.
Keeps falling out [EDIT]
[Doesn’t fit well. Tried in multiple devices. Feels like it has gone in snug, but the slightest bump and it stops charging. I’m often waking up to find my phone has not charged overnight. Very frustrating. Total junk. Avoid.] – original review.
The seller kindly got in touch and was keen to send me a new cable to try out. Happy to report the new cable fits well and charge time is fast. Most impressed with the excellent customer service. 5
The lead is working great so far and is of good quality, it does however smell pretty bad of chemical rubber probably from the bag it was in. As you can see from the pics there’s a 2 watt power loss across a two metre lead? Not sure why as others are OK. I can’t test the full 100w capacity as my highest charge device is my EcoFlow RIVER 2 which is only 60w input Well worth the 5.75 (think thats about it) I paid, with additional vouche
Better than spending more on Apple's official lead
When it came to finally getting a new Mac, I was sad to see that the MagSafe connector was no more. That magnetic device had saved my old MacBook Air from an expensive repair/replace bill a few times in the past 9 years. I know there are adaptors out there to bring back the magnetic connector, but at the cost of one of only two USB C ports, I will just (hopefully) be more careful in the future. One way of keeping leads out of harms way is to have a longer lead (in my case anyway but a bit counter intuitive I know), hence the purchase of this one.
The supplied Apple USB C lead is ok at best but I was mainly concerned at the ‘sturdiness’ of it and its almost unwillingness to flex in a malleable way so I got a bit concerned that the flexing I require of a charging lead will result in the Apple lead failing. I’m a bit lazy and instead of placing my expensive computer safely on a table when I’m not using it, I simply close the lid and prop it up along side the armchair I use so the lead would end up ‘looping’ behind the Mac.
Back on topic:
The fibre mesh coating I’m hoping will prolong it’s life and as mentioned, the long length will allow me to keep the lead further away from tripping over it sending my Mac flying in any direction.
Overall, the packaging was nice, the lead is doing what it’s meant to and have no complaints so far. It seats neatly and securely in both ends of the charger and Mac and will keep using it and probably box up the original charging lead from Apple for use in extreme emergencies (Hopefully not because I’ve tripped over the new lead and damaged it. Wish me luck!)
