I recently purchased the USB C to USB C Charger Cable, and it has been a game-changer for my tech needs. Whether I’m in my car using Android Auto for navigation or charging my laptop and phone at home, this cable has proven to be incredibly versatile. The braided design not only adds a touch of elegance but also ensures durability, standing up to the daily wear and tear with ease. The connection is consistently stable, providing fast and efficient charging every time. It’s a relief not to worry about fraying or damage from frequent use. This cable is a must-have for anyone who values reliability and quality in their tech accessories. Five stars all the way!
Modern day tech requires good quality cables to charge quickly and efficiently and this Ocetea branded cable fits the bill perfectly.
At 1m long this charging cable is, what I consider to be, the ideal length in that it is long enough to prevent the device being charged dangling from the socket but not so long that it gets in the way. In my opinion 1m charging cables are the most versatile length.
The cable has a nylon outer layer which not only protects the cable but also stops the wire from getting tangled up. The USB C connectors at either end of the cable appear good quality, are well made and fit securely in my USB C ports. I have no doubts over the quality or durability of the Ocetea charging cable and I foresee it lasting a long time.
As well as being a charging cable the Ocetea cable can also be used for data transfer, and when doing this it works very well. When combined with my high speed memory cards and card reader my photos and videos fly between my devices.
Overall the Ocetea cable is a great product. It is tough and durable, it allows for fast charging and data transfer and it is top value for money. Consequently, it comes highly recommended.
Disclaimer: I am privileged enough to be part of the Amazon Vine program and as such I have the opportunity request products that I would find useful/potentially buy to road test in exchange for an honest review. I am not paid for this and all of my reviews are unbiased and based on my own experience.
For the price point and functionality, this is a 5 star product for me. At first I was a little bit sceptical of the speed difference, but on doing a comparison test with mic transmitters which chomp battery life, the Ocetea was 15 – 20 minutes faster to a full charge compared to the usual USB to C I use. I was impressed as 20 minutes when using gear in live situations is really helpful. The cable itself looks and feels quality, the braiding is good and the connector ends are snug, staying in place well.
Having had the privilege to test this Ocetea cable, I’ll need to buy another to put into my gig bag. Maybe you should too.
Package contents: 2 metre USB C to USB C cable
Tested with: Lenovo IdeaPad 3i 17 / Samsung A34 5G / charger plug
The good bits: As soon as I plugged the phone into the laptop a file explorer window opened letting me transfer files to and from the phone as well as charging the phone.
Not much else to say. It’s a USB cable for data transfer and charging which it did with no problems.
The not so good bits: This cable is USB 2.0. This means it can transfer data at up to 480mb. Whereas a USB 3 cable could be many times faster. That’s assuming the device at either end is capable of such speeds. USB 3 supports cables up to 3 metres in length, whereas USB 2 can be 5 metres. As this cable is only 2 metres long it’s a pity it doesn’t support the USB 3 standard.
Recommendation: It’s a nice cable, but I can only recommend if you need a cable for charging or you’re happy with USB 2 data transfer rates, otherwise look for something else
Ocetea 240W USB C to USB C Charger Cable, 5A USBC to USBC Type C Charger Cable Fast Charging USBC ….
This charge lead comes in an ‘Ocetea’ branded packet, it is a 2m long, 240W USB-C charge cable. It is quite a thick cable being about 4.2mm in diameter and quite flexible for its thickness. It has a cotton / nylon braid for protection and aluminium shells at each end which bear the brand name and state 240W.
I tested the cable power handling, although I can only go to 100W it handled it without any problems with only 0.87V drop whilst drawing 5A without any noticeable heating at the USB plugs.
The E-marker of the cable suggest it is rated at 50V, 5A, which is 250W, but the confusing thing is that, although the listing states a data rate of 480Mb/s and even the packet states USB2, the E-marker shows it to be a USB 3.2 Gen2 cable which should be capable of 10Gb/s! Having tested the data transfer rate and found it to be as described (USB2) obtaining about 40MB/s, it is a puzzle why the E-marker is incorrect. This worries me as the power handling information could also be in correct, although without being able to draw the full 240W I can only say that it will handle 100W without an issue.
I have had cables at similar prices that handle 240W but also USB3.2 data transfer speeds, so it is surprising why this is not the case here. So, not a bad cable but only good for charging especially high-power devices, if you need fast data transfer too, then it is probably best to look elsewhere.
The Ocetea 240W USB C to USB C Charger is certainly fast for charging, it has a generous cable length, high quality braiding and feels very sturdy when plugging in. I have never had a 240w charging cable before, so thought I would try this for ultra fast charging. I had no issues using it with my phones or my tablets, my asus laptop with 100w charger wouldnt accept this cable though, this is a design limitation of the asus product and NOT the cable, much to my frustration. The cable also faciliates data transfer, but its pretty meager at usb 2 speeds, so probably wont use it for that. (okay for phones though), was quite suprised, but I suppose you cant have the best of both worlds.
Cables like this when used for non phone devices may have compatibility requirements that do not allow for 100w transfer even if its rated for it, this is basically down to the particular device and generally not the cable you are using. if its just tablets and phone charging it will probably be fine.
Pros: Super fast charging, long cable, high quality too.
Cons: Meager data transfer speeds though.
