Very good cable, worked for both data and power, used for my MacBook and DJI Cam, flawless
This cable came in wrapped in a plastic re-sealable bag which is always handy to keep, the cable was tied up inside also using its own Flexi clip.
The length of the cable is 2 meters which was perfect for me to charge my laptop or use for data transfer.
I powered my MacBook with this cable, also connected it to my camera to transfer MP4 files, all worked as expected.
Data transfer was as good as my other cables, I wish I could fault the cable, it worked flawlessly for me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood for charging
As a 240W cable, this is capable of charging devices at a quicker speed compared to the average USB-C cable.
With a compatible wall charger, it has no issues with charging my laptop, even when it is in use.

Data transfer isn’t the quickest as it is USB2.0 (480Mbps), but that doesn’t matter too much as it is primarily going to be used as a fast-charging cable.

It is also braided, which seems to be quite durable and hopefully long lasting.

This applies for both the 1m cable and the 2m cable as I have them both. Other than the length, no other difference was noticed in terms of charging speed and durability.

    Top of the class
This is an excellent USB C cable.

With a durable braided jacket, aluminium plugs and rubber strain relief boots this will take a lot of abuse.

In testing I found it to have a particularly low resistance per metre at only 62milliohm, as of writing this review this is the lowest resistance of any USB C cable I have tested and should allow for low voltage drop and minimal heating of the cable/plugs. I passed 240w through this cable for a period of 10mins, during which the plugs became warm to the touch and I could feel heat in the cable, neither of which were to a concerning degree.

As of the time of review there are no devices that utilise 240w PD charging, nor any chargers that output such a figure through one socket so I am unable to test the “E-Marker” chip in the cable to ensure compatibility with this standard. I have no reason to believe it does not though as this does appear to be a very well made cable.

At the current price of 7.99, or 4 per metre, it offers excellent value for money. I would certainly purchase this cable myself in preference to higher priced cables from better known brands.

Great quality, lengthy cable for charging
This is a great quality cable that is built solidly. The cable is thicker that usual USB cables, I believe this is because of the ability to deliver up to 240W of power. The braid on the cable feels great in the hand and really adds the quality of this product. Each USB end of the cable is capped with a cable protector which prevents too much flex on the end and ultimately damaging the cable.

This cable lives up to the promise of being able to fast charge a lot of devices from phones to laptops. It can definitely handle the power.

The one small issue with this cable from being a great all-round cable is that the USB protocol is only USB 2. The product page doesn’t hide this but it’s worth pointing this out. USB 2 means that transfer speeds are limited to about 500Mbps which may be fine for most.

I’d love to see a USB3 version of this cable.

Good quality cable but confusing labelling......
So this IS a nice quality cable and claims to support PD3.1 which is the standard for high speed charging (up to 48v @ 5A) but it is also labelled as USB 2.0. This is a USB-C cable which not USB 2.0…… this I believe is a mistake. Comes with a lifetime warranty so nothing to lose!

    Top quality fast charge
Modern day tech requires good quality cables to charge quickly and efficiently and this Ocetea branded cable fits the bill perfectly.

At 1m long this charging cable is, what I consider to be, the ideal length in that it is long enough to prevent the device being charged dangling from the socket but not so long that it gets in the way. In my opinion 1m charging cables are the most versatile length.

The cable has a nylon outer layer which not only protects the cable but also stops the wire from getting tangled up. The USB C connectors at either end of the cable appear good quality, are well made and fit securely in my USB C ports. I have no doubts over the quality or durability of the Ocetea charging cable and I foresee it lasting a long time.

As well as being a charging cable the Ocetea cable can also be used for data transfer, and when doing this it works very well. When combined with my high speed memory cards and card reader my photos and videos fly between my devices.

Overall the Ocetea cable is a great product. It is tough and durable, it allows for fast charging and data transfer and it is top value for money. Consequently, it comes highly recommended.

Impressed with quality - does what it says on the tin!
For the price point and functionality, this is a 5 star product for me. At first I was a little bit sceptical of the speed difference, but on doing a comparison test with mic transmitters which chomp battery life, the Ocetea was 15 – 20 minutes faster to a full charge compared to the usual USB to C I use. I was impressed as 20 minutes when using gear in live situations is really helpful. The cable itself looks and feels quality, the braiding is good and the connector ends are snug, staying in place well.

Having had the privilege to test this Ocetea cable, I’ll need to buy another to put into my gig bag. Maybe you should too.

    USB 2 data transfer rate
Package contents: 2 metre USB C to USB C cable

    Tested with: Lenovo IdeaPad 3i 17 / Samsung A34 5G / charger plug

The good bits: As soon as I plugged the phone into the laptop a file explorer window opened letting me transfer files to and from the phone as well as charging the phone.

Not much else to say. It’s a USB cable for data transfer and charging which it did with no problems.

The not so good bits: This cable is USB 2.0. This means it can transfer data at up to 480mb. Whereas a USB 3 cable could be many times faster. That’s assuming the device at either end is capable of such speeds. USB 3 supports cables up to 3 metres in length, whereas USB 2 can be 5 metres. As this cable is only 2 metres long it’s a pity it doesn’t support the USB 3 standard.

Recommendation: It’s a nice cable, but I can only recommend if you need a cable for charging or you’re happy with USB 2 data transfer rates, otherwise look for something else

    Cables of the future
Cables these days are not just bits of wire going from one connector to another they have discrete electronic components within their construction which are undertaking complex algorithms to determine the optimum data “flow” and maximum power that can be supported/provide to/from a device.

This is what we have here.

    A high end mini-computer in a cable.

Hidden within the connectors are microprocessors which talk to the devices at each end and then provide the power/data required as per certain conditions — amazing

Looking at the cable you would never think there was such within it as the size of the connectors etc looks about the same as the “dumb” connectors off yesteryear.

This cable has the ability to provide 240W of power — something I cannot test as yet as I have nothing that wants/needs that sort of high end delivery but sometime in the future that will probably be standard.

As for the data throughput that is fast ‘n’ fine.

I did try and run the cable as a projected video cable to my AR glasses from my Huawei Pro phone but the chipset with the cable did not support that mode. So it has a lot of functionality but not everything.

All-in-all a top notch high speed high power USB-C cable (for the future)

    Certainly a fast charger cable!
The Ocetea 240W USB C to USB C Charger is certainly fast for charging, it has a generous cable length, high quality braiding and feels very sturdy when plugging in. I have never had a 240w charging cable before, so thought I would try this for ultra fast charging. I had no issues using it with my phones or my tablets, my asus laptop with 100w charger wouldnt accept this cable though, this is a design limitation of the asus product and NOT the cable, much to my frustration. The cable also faciliates data transfer, but its pretty meager at usb 2 speeds, so probably wont use it for that. (okay for phones though), was quite suprised, but I suppose you cant have the best of both worlds.

Cables like this when used for non phone devices may have compatibility requirements that do not allow for 100w transfer even if its rated for it, this is basically down to the particular device and generally not the cable you are using. if its just tablets and phone charging it will probably be fine.

Pros: Super fast charging, long cable, high quality too.
Cons: Meager data transfer speeds though.

Good power handling but only USB2 data speeds!
Ocetea 240W USB C to USB C Charger Cable, 5A USBC to USBC Type C Charger Cable Fast Charging USBC ….

This charge lead comes in an ‘Ocetea’ branded packet, it is a 2m long, 240W USB-C charge cable. It is quite a thick cable being about 4.2mm in diameter and quite flexible for its thickness. It has a cotton / nylon braid for protection and aluminium shells at each end which bear the brand name and state 240W.

I tested the cable power handling, although I can only go to 100W it handled it without any problems with only 0.87V drop whilst drawing 5A without any noticeable heating at the USB plugs.

The E-marker of the cable suggest it is rated at 50V, 5A, which is 250W, but the confusing thing is that, although the listing states a data rate of 480Mb/s and even the packet states USB2, the E-marker shows it to be a USB 3.2 Gen2 cable which should be capable of 10Gb/s! Having tested the data transfer rate and found it to be as described (USB2) obtaining about 40MB/s, it is a puzzle why the E-marker is incorrect. This worries me as the power handling information could also be in correct, although without being able to draw the full 240W I can only say that it will handle 100W without an issue.

I have had cables at similar prices that handle 240W but also USB3.2 data transfer speeds, so it is surprising why this is not the case here. So, not a bad cable but only good for charging especially high-power devices, if you need fast data transfer too, then it is probably best to look elsewhere.
