Strong spine
I use these books every day and put in and out of bag 5/ 6 times a day lesser books have not lasted more than a month these importantly stay together by that I mean the covers don’t fall off
Superb Paper Quality
Looking for some notebooks with some durability, look no further.
Fantastic quality paper. Suitable for fountain pens and roller balls too. No bleed through to the other side.
White paper and good line spacing. Solid hardback covering will protect the paper.
They are a little expensive compared to other notebooks available, but if you are looking for something a little bit special then these will not disappoint.
Great-Remove Cheesy Quotes
I love the quality and the look. So disappointed with the cheesy quotes inside. I can imagine most people buy these for work. Although a nice idea, remove! And the sticker on the front, I was horrified when it first arrived as I though it was permanent. It needs to be made more clear on here to customers about this
This is some of the best paper for the money
I use these solely for writing with fountain pens. The paper is a nice balance between smooth and textured and is strong enough to stand up to wet nibs and inks. I see it as similar quality with the likes of Rhodia (although different feeling), but for a much better price.
Books very good. Delivery not.
The books are as good as I hoped. Unfortunately, the box was left on our drive behind the car and we did not know it was there. A neighbour spotted it and brought it to us. I know that Covid is an issue, but without the stroke of luck that it was found by an honest person, it might have disappeared forever. Amazon note that your couriers are taking short cuts that might mean you lose out in the end!

And they are worth every penny.
They have that luxury feel of Quality, that is irreplaceable.
It makes me write better – neater, and to take greater care of them.
I highly recommend them.
Sturdy and stylish yet unfussy
These are now my Go-to for home working, for CPD and general notes. Love the plainness and sturdiness. Also that I can write the contents/title on the spine. Nice to have integrated red ribbon bookmark too.
For me, Black n’ Red has long been an indicator of quality notepads, and these three hardback pads are no exception.
The paper is good quality and thick, and the hard covering and binding also being of good quality. The only thing I didn’t really like, and it lead me to knock a star from the rating, are the inspirational quotes inside. It’s not nearly as bad as one reviewer put it, who claimed that the pads were “filled” with these quotes. Rather, they are found on the inside cover, both front and back, and on the first and last cover pages inside. Other than that the writing pages themselves are clear of such quotes. I do agree with the aforementioned reviewer though, that the quotes that are there are a bit cheesy.
These pads also contain a sewn ribbon for marking purposes.
All in all, good quality workmanship that I have come to expect from Black n’ Red
The covers are sturdy and the paper is thick enough to be used on both sides without bleed-through from a normal ballpoint pen. However, two things prevent me from giving this pack of three A4 notebooks the full five stars. Firstly, they come with an entirely unnecessary plastic wrap around them – a cardboard strip would have held them together just as effectively and been less world-destroying. Secondly, the first one I’ve used doesn’t open completely flat – the front sheet is attached to a good few millimetres width to the second sheet, meaning you either have to pull them apart and risk ripping them, or simply fold the sheet and all later ones at that point. Annoying, and at this price I wouldn’t have expected this kind of flaw. It doesn’t make the notebook in any respect unusable, but it’s disappointing.
Excellent books but no Scribzee
I’ve been using Black and Red notebooks for years and can’t fault them. I was, however, disappointed when I got these they don’t have Scribzee markers in the corners of the pages to make them more easily scannable. So i’m not sure if this isn’t on all B&R notbooks or if these are really old stock.
Great notebooks.
I wanted these as a makeshift lab book (bcos who has money to spend on those things) and they work amazingly, they look smart whilst also being durable. Which is important when I spill solvent all over the lab bench bcos it means that all my pen doesn’t get instantly dissolved into a puddle on the page.
