I brought this item for our 2 kittens. They weren’t as interested as I thought they would be. The unit is quite noisy and this seems to distract them and they are more interested in getting that to see what it is. They also dont seem that impressed with something that they cant actually catch and hold. Also I’ve only had it a couple of days and may need to return it as the 2nd program that is supposed to last a few hours with intermittent light doesn’t seem to be working. Without this facility i may aswell get a laser pen for 5 and use myself for 10 mins. It requires 3 batteries which arent included. Generally I think it’s overpriced.
My cat loves it - but the battery life is really sho
Jim was unsure about this at first and hid from it, but he’s obsessed with it now. I’m away at work 8 hours a day so I got this because of the setting that turns it on periodically. It keeps him active and stops him from going stir-crazy during the day alone (he’s an indoor cat).
The only bad things are the noise from the motor (it doesn’t scare him but it does distract him from the laser sometimes) and the battery life. It takes 3 AAA batteries and dies after a couple of days (luckily I also bought rechargeable batteries).
2nd one - cats love it. Poor quality
This is the second one we have bought. After less than a year the first one just stopped working. Unfortunately our cats adore it and didn’t have any interest in the other one I bought for them let’s hope this one lasts longer!
My cats absolutely love it! I put it on every night and they love chasing it round my living room or kitchen. It turns off after it’s cycle, I was worried the batteries wouldn’t last but love this feature.

This is great! Iv put it up in the catio on a timer so it goes off multiple times a day but not for an excessive amount of time. My bengals love it, helps keep them active

Love this toy – amazing when I’m working and can’t play with a laser pen directly. It does chomp through batteries but then we are using it 3+ times a day. Currently replacing them once a week. Have found hanging it off the end of a curtain rail gets the best results as the laser extends further. Would recommend! Only docked a star for the battery usage!
works as expected
my cat didn’t much care for this toy, since he was more attentive to the whirring that the toy itself made than the laser dot, but your mileage may vary! if you have a cat that you think won’t be bothered by a pretty quiet whirring sound then i think this toy would work just fine. i have nothing negative to say about the quality of the toy itself.
We got this really clever 7 year old kitty that’s really fussy when it comes to toys, she gets her head arround them quite quickly and gets bored with it as soon as. But this toy seems to bring her a lot of pleasure she meows at the dot runs arround chasing it or just sits and stares at it when gets tired of chasing 🙂 The toy looks sturdy, great design, is not massive fits in the hand and has a small lead attached to it so that you could hang it whenever you want. The only small minus that it makes sound when rotating the laser beam which was putting our cat off at first but now she’s ok with it. So all together we’re puuuurrfffeectly happy x)
Brilliant and fu
My cat loves this toy. It keeps her active both physically and mentally with the ‘random’ pattern movements. This means that it’s unpredictable for her, and allows us to watch her play!!
Cat loves it. Can put it on a timer so you dont have to be there. Get your AAA batteries from poundland as you will be using 3 at a time. Came quick, good price
I have a Sphynx cat (5 years old) and her son which is a bengal x sphynx mix breed (3 years old) and they could not be more different in character. They both love laser games and chase it until they are tired. Now I loved the idea of this toy. It’s super well made and the design is great to have out. Now my sphynx cat hated this toy and got so scared by the little sound and the motion. On the other hand my bengal boy LOVED it and the way the laser moved made him into a kitten again. I will slowly introduce this toy to my shy sphynx cat from now on.
My cats have large rotating thing that does the same as this which was much cheaper but it’s so noisy this is great very happy cats very happy owner, it is pricy but worth the money.
