Life saver!
Was bought for my grandson when he had chicken pox. He wasn’t allowing anyone to put ointment in his, but loved that this was a foam and thought it was funny.
Great value product and good quality.
Chicken Pox Miracle
Absolute gem of a product! My Son suffered really badly and this mousse was a God send!!
I filled a sock full of rolled oats, tied it with a hair bobble and let him have a warm bath (no soap, just a milky looking bath) dried off gently then applied this mousse all over. Initially, he said it felt quite sticky but went in quite quickly and gave instant relief.
I repeated this for 2-3 days applying only once and this was enough for him. The itching subsided and he is now fully recovered with very little scarring.
Worth every penny and I even had enough left when my daughter came out with them three weeks later!

1st child didn’t react well to this (screaming crying saying its burning so washed it straight off, his chicken pox literally looked like open sores after, so i didn’t use again on him)
The 2nd child 2 weeks after refused any calomine lotion, so i decided to try poxciln again on the 2nd child, but only tested a small area first to check for any reactions, no reaction with 2nd child. Works absolutely fine and really easy to use. Loads left. The amount of foam you get is probably enough for 3 or 4 children.
Changed to 5 stars even though first child reacted badly as it was so good and easy to use for 2nd child

It really works, it’s easy to use as it is a foam. Can be applied all over. A little bit sticky but ever so mildly. It covers the skin nicely and my little one said it stops itching instantly. The spots disappear before your eyes, crust over and become very small after one use. Would highly recommend

I bought this after reading the reviews and I’m so glad I did! I was a bit put off due to the price but if it worked I’d pay it!
My daughter suffers from dry skin as it is and calamine lotion was just making her poor skin worse with the spots. After using suedocrem for a couple of days instead (which kind of helped) I found this and ordered straight away, it came lunchtime the next day and after her first application which was so fast and easy due to it being foam, she slept a full night without waking crying because she was so itchy. 2 days in using it and her spots have all scabbed over nicely and she’s full of beans! Absolutely recommend, don’t hesitate!!!

Mousse consistency so its light weight (important as son is asd and doesn’t like creams on his skin). Cooling, itch relief, easy to apply. Minimised scarring by reliving the urge to scratch. Not sticky at all and has no scent. No casting on the skin.
Pump action bottle. I didn’t think it would last long enough but lasted perfectly.
I have recommended this multiple times to others as it was honestly amazing. The amount of people that told me to use calamine lotion…..I’m glad I ignored them as this was much better in our situation!
I ordered this for my 4 year old after we tried using calomine lotion first.I only wish I’d have known about this sooner. Absolutely amazing product, we had a horrendous night with him before we ordered this and the next day it arrived, applied it straight away and he was like a different child. He didn’t complain about his spots again after using this and it cleared them up so quickly with no scarring because he was scratching them. 100% recommend, just fantastic!
3 days into my 5 year old daughter’s Chickenpox the Calomine lotion was no where near cutting it so I sceptically ordered this for a next day delivery and so glad I did as that night she was up all night crying with her CP. Following day this arrived at lunchtime and applied it right away, sti much easier to apply and that night she slept from 7pm to 7am. Absolute god send this stuff would highly recommend. Second day since using this stuff and she hasn’t moaned once about her CP so far today it’s now 6pm. Hopefully another good night’s sleep tonight. Great stuff. Edit has slept like a log since using this and no scratching and says they don’t hurt anymore, fantastic product.
Got for my son he has autism and it was hard to find something he’d let me use on him as he has sensory issues with things like cream and lotion this one is perfect it’s like moose or if I held it long enough it goes watery but he was fine with this one and he said it helped him loads with his itching. Smells ok as well.
I was sceptical about this product… would it really stop my youngest from scratching her chicken pox blisters? Well, turns out that she didn’t… the downside was that they hadn’t “crusted over after 5 days” because many of the blisters were still blisters and not scabs. She was pleased to get an additional day off school at least.
One bottle lasted for the entire time required with a little left over – the foaming action really does make it go a long way and covers a lot of area really quickly.
Obviously I wasn’t going to “experiment” on my Daughter by only covering half of her, and the other half in the traditional lotion, but her skin’s made a very good recovery and in a better shape than her older sister’s.
The only thing is… it does exactly what it says it does – my Daughter was always complaining that “it was cold”. Overall, seems to be a great product!

I was a little sceptical at first even reading the product reviews but I was proven wrong. The item arrived a little later than bedtime so had to just apply the usual lotion, but my child woke through the night due to been itchy and her body really sensitive once I applied this she seemed to settle not long after. I’ve applied some more this morning and she has voiced her spots aren’t itchy or hurting her. The item is a really light foam and is really easy to apply. Less than 12hrs and my girls spots aren’t itchy or sore the only thing that holding her back a little is her temp but fingers crossed medicine will sort that for her. Definitely a product to use.
The way the pump dispenses a handful of foam makes it convenient to apply. No way of knowing if this had any scientific effect but when my son was suffering it was nice to be able to offer some kind of treatment and he always accepted it and seemed grateful for it. We went through about 1.5 of these bottles for one child. Pretty expensive, if it was 50% bigger for the same price that would seem like the right amount and a fairer price.
Don’t know if coincidence or not but my daughter was complaining of her spots itching and hurting her after they came out so I ordered this mousse and applied that evening it arrived. She said it helped a little but still complained. But the next day she didn’t mentioned it itching at all. We applied morning and night for 5 days and there was no more irritation and the spots are going away nicely. Still plenty left for little brother’s turn!

The main worry with applying ointments for chickenpox is the ease of application. This Mousse is very easy to apply. My toddler had a very bad case of chickenpox. He won’t let me touch his skin. I was able to apply this easily all over his body. Including his scalp.
It was also helpful with preventing diaper rash.
My only complaint is the size, it’s too small, I’m on my 3rd bottle. But maybe I use a lot.
We had been using calamine lotion and a benadryl once a day antihistamine, but little man was still itching and whinging about being uncomfortable bless him.
I use lavender oil on burns and have done the same with aloe vera before, so I thought it worthwhile trying this when little man got chicken pox. It seemed to work almost instantly once dried and application was zero drama.
He says he prefers it as “calamine turned him into a ghost” and calamine “was a mess to apply”. Would use this over calamine with my toddler, as and when needed too. Leaves skin looking moisturized and a bit softer too maybe.

There are better products
This was recommended for Chicken Pox and whilst I have no real concerns with it, I found another product worked better at soothing the itch. Applied really well and was was moisturising but I found it was slightly warmer on the skin than other products, which may have impacted on its effectiveness. Would recommend but don’t use as your only treatment method.
Bought for our 18 month old for chicken pox. He wasn’t able to tell us if it felt better with this on or not. Bought this as it was reccomended by friends. We’d used plain old calamine lotion on our 5 year old a week or two earlier and that seemed to do the trick for him. Our youngest definitely got it worse though. This is easier to apply than calamine but not quite sure if the claims are backed up by any kind of science or clinical trials. The chicken pox cleared up after about a week. Jury still out of this helped at all, or if it had run it’s course. Will probably never find out. Its expensive for what it is
