    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was so easy to set up and it works like a dream. My old kitchen TV conked out recently and although I didn’t realise it, I used it a lot. I was lost without it.
    After reading reviews, I chose this TV and I am so glad I did. It is a bargain.
    It’s nice to be able to watch a programme while cooking or washing up etc.

    I got the 12v 24″ version, which also can be powered from the mains, the picture quality and sound are quite good. It will be used mainly in a campervan but I tested it and tuned in the channels etc while at home. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with a camper or caravan.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality picture and sound

    The TV is light, good picture quality and the sound is good.
    I was glad I read some of the other reviews first about creating a ROKU account before starting, you do need to have one to access the TV.
    The annoying part for my mum (78) was that the home screen was a little fiddly, she wanted it to go straight to the sky box, a google search sorted that and you can set the power on mode to HDMI instead of the standard menu.

    TV is okay but the screen is broken now. If you have policies to help us get a new one for a price and take this one back I will appreciate it. Thanks

    I just wanted a standard, non Smart TV and this had good reviews. It is a very good TV and does everything I need. Also, it can record to USB which I didn’t realise it could do, so that is a bonus. The manual could be more detailed though as a lot of the functions aren’t described well enough, so you need to explore. The thing that really pleased me was that it comes with a 2 year manufacturers warranty rather than the standard one orbit around the sun, which is dire in my opinion. If it lives up to that warranty I’ll be happy. Very good value for money.

    A very good TV for the price. The HD channels are very clear but I’ve seen better quality non HD channels. Overall the quality is good but the instruction booklet is too basic and doesn’t detail a lot of the functions. Took me ages to figure out why the auto scan channels were in a random order and didn’t correspond to the uk listing numbers. Sorted it in the end but it would have been nice to have more accurate instructions.

    I love this tv.
    The picture quality is good, the price is good, the size is good.
    I like the style of it, you have two options for the stand and its very lightweight.
    Although a few times colours have flashed on the screen, I have ignored it and it hasn’t happened again.
    The price is honestly unbeatable, I haven’t had any other issues with it so far.
    Overall good purchase 🙂

    Very good value for money. But i needed to do quite a bit of extra tuning to improve the quality of the picture. Still working on it to achieve the quality I want.

    I bought it as a gift to pair with a Chromecast as I had purchased the standard version.

    Overall they enjoyed it, I didn’t see them till the next day as they were binging content.

    They like it, I find it okay as I’m used to more branded panels such as Samsung. However, decent size, okay colour production, and no thrills and whistles. Just a TV.

    Recommended product.

    A great TV, but, there does seem to be an issue with the wireless internet connectivity.

    On first turning on the TV, it scanned for available networks and I chose the appropriate one. After this, the TV updated its software and I thought everything was good to go, but this wasn’t the case. It became apparent the wireless connection had failed. To make matters worse, there was no way to make the TV re-scan for available networks. On scouring Google, this fault has plagued others. I gave up eventually and ran an Ethernet cable from my router instead. It looks to me like the software update upset things, but, strangely enough, even a factory reset has failed to make any difference. Anyway, an Ethernet cable is a more reliable connection, so it will do for me.

    The TV has improved clarity and sound over my old Samsung TV, and the number of stations I can now view has increased dramatically. I can also watch Prime Video, YouTube and others without any fuss and bother. I also find the remote navigation a breeze, and it is plenty responsive for me.

    I am happy with the TV, though the wireless side of things should be attended to as it is a bit of a head scratcher to fix (it means messing with modem settings and so on, apparently).

    I have now paired the TV with my computer using the very affordable Wireless HDMI Display Adapter from Amazon (the cheap 7.96 version), which works perfectly (see my other review on how to set it up).

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this TV as my old 32′ Samsung started having double images on the screen, the RCA TV is more up to date (pity it has 720p only) I choose the non smart one with Freeview HD as I all ready own a android TV box, and the price was good for 32 inch TV. when tuning in the TV, I find the channels were not in order but allows you fix this by rearranging the channels. and when I hooked up my soundbar via HDMI ARC for some reason my soundbar would turn off if I pressed the volume down button and the setting screen would appear if a different button but I think it’s my fault as I put the soundbar in front of the TV. so if I point the TV remote away from the TV, I don’t get any problems. there are one or two concerns, the manaul and the remote don’t say RCA, and on the RCA website it says this TV doesn’t exist! I believe the remote is a generic one, made by HKC, I saw one on eBay, and the picture looks the same as the remote so I will get it just in case. this is not a ‘bells and whistles’ TV but it does the job. UPDATE April 2024, so far so good, the picture modes leave a lot to be desired. but I hack I find was to get into factory settings by just pressing the source button then press 2,5,8,0 and scroll down to other and press the enter button select picture mode and you can adjust the picture settings that are greyed out on menu settings. this trick also applies to the hdmi ports if you anything connected to them and the picture is dark or to much colour etc(but make sure you have selected the right hdmi port you need to adjust) but also, it’s not in the menu settings, but there is a game mode setting in the factory settings.

    Golden Review Award: 91 From Our UsersThe last time I bought a TV was 10 years ago so I am comparing it with a something that is over 10 years old. My old TV only came with the BBC iPlayer and a couple of others that required subscription whereas the RCA is fully up to date with all the catchup apps. The tuner also turns out to be quite sensitive – I live 37km from the transmitter that is also behind several walls (I live in a mid terrace) and yet it is able to pick up all the channels with an indoor aerial. However,

    1) there doesn’t appear to be a way to search the EPG. On my old TV, I could search by name or category (e.g. Star Trek or film) and see what (live) programmes are coming up. The only search that appears to be available is for on-demand content;

    2) the IPTV “data” channels such as Vision TV don’t work. Considering that they work flawlessly on my 10-year old TV this is rather disappointing. Hopefully it will be addressed in a future software update;

    3) there is an option to add “wireless audio devices” to the TV, devices such as speakers and soundbar with the graphic also showing headphones. I have not been able to get it to detect my bluetooth headphones;

    4) the remote is essential the same remote used in a Roku streamer slightly modified for a TV. As such it is missing some common buttons like one to turn subtitles on and off with a single touch.

    For the price this is not a bad TV although it can be a lot better.

    Update:
    I have now had the TV for nearly 2 weeks. The Roku App turns out to be quite useful and mitigates some of the shortcomings of the remote control. Using the app’s voice input, the many clicks that were previously needed to turn on subtitles can now be achieved by simply saying “turn on subtitles”. To open a “channel” (an app in Roku speak), you can say something like “launch ITVX” to launch the new ITV app.

    Live TV may be paused if you connect a flash drive to one of the USB ports. However, beware that a current bug causes the pause buffer to be wiped if you turn off the display, so if you get a phone call in the middle of a programme, you can pause for up to 90 minutes but do not be tempted to turn off the TV screen to save electricity.

    I tried to ask the seller about the failure to play the Freeview data channels through the Amazon website but did not get any response. There is no information in the supplied manual on where you can get technical support. Neither the Roku nor the RCA website list this model. I fear that once the Amazon return window passes, getting support may be tricky.

    Update 2: April 2023
    A couple of days ago the TV updated to Roku OS 12.0.0, build 4171. The update broke all of the Freeview catch up apps. Any attempt to launch any one of the Freeview apps from the home screen results in an error message saying “Channel Unavailable”. The only way these apps can be accessed now is via the EPG. With the EPG up, press “*” and select an app to start from there. The update is also causing the “private listening” audio to break up. Usually this can be fixed by toggling the headphones on/off button on the Roku mobile app. All in all, this is a poor update and it is not recommended.

    Update 3: April 2023
    The problem with the Freeview catch up apps has been fixed. Unfortunately, most of the Freeview data channels still do not work (see attached photo) despite the OS update.

    4.0 out of 5 stars Do not upgrade to Roku OS 12
