Great for camping
Bought as we were going camping and site required that all pets be on a leash at all times. Easy to use, kept our dog safe and easy to remove.
Good for camping
Bought this as the screw type ones are not great when the ground is too hard and somehow our dog (a 30 kg German Shepherd) managed to bend the screw type ones. Well she didn’t damage or pull out this spike one so it worked perfect. Though word of advise, if the ground is hard like as it was for us, better have a metal mallet to plant it, the rubber mallets are just too soft.
Best money spent.
This product is fantastic, we bought it just to stop our German shepard running to the gate, every time someone walked past. She is a 35lb dog and spike held her in place with no issues. (Would recommend attaching to a harness and not your dogs coller.)
Good and strong
Didn’t think anything would hold my 35kg bulldog but this does and was easy to fix in and remove. Not that keen on long wire as can get tangled but simply attached my dogs longer lead to it.
Works perfect!
Keeps two boisterous and mischievous Westies in the garden so I can tend to gardening without worry of them escaping. I have had this for about three months and it’s still going strong.

Bought this for our strong dog to go camping with and so glad I did!! Just bang it into the ground with a hammer and sit back and relax knowing your dog will not escape. Brilliant bit of kit.
Strong, sturdy, perfect.
Easy to bang into the ground using a mallet. Doesn’t budge when Doggo is attached. Sturdy ring to attach clip, turns freely so that it doesn’t get tangled. Quick sideways tap, and it comes out without any trouble.
This item is great – it does exactly what it says. So much better than the flimsy screw in number I had previously, that lasted ONE outing!!
Very strong
Great for my 50kg mastiff definitely does the job. Would recommend using with a harness and not a collar as my dog necked himself playing with his ball and went totally a**e over t*t and it didn’t look pleasant but proved this thing isn’t going anywhere once in the ground.
Better than those screws.
If this is as hard to get out as it was to get in I’ll have to buy a new one if I move. Swivel head seems like it would break before the thing uprooted, but that doesn’t seem any more likely. Easily holds my two dogs.

Best tether I ever bought . Solid & reliable . Now in 2nd year of owning one ………a bit of rust developing but left it out all last Winter. Very pleased with my purchase as not only used at home in communal garden but also on camping hols

I bought this for our doggy holidays and trips away where I can never be quite convinced that the fences are secure enough to prevent my husband (oh, I mean dog) from escaping.
It would take the Worlds Strongest Man to remove it from the ground by just pulling.

I’ve got a German shepherd and used a long lead on the stake and it didn’t budge out of the ground. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a bigger dog
Firstly, I do need to make a comment on the packaging of this product – it is a very heavy metal stake and was packaged in a paper bag with some bubble wrap inside. This was totally unsuitable for this item as when I received it, the spike was poking out of the bottom of the bag, there was no safety nozzle on the end of the spike either!
The product itself – although we haven’t used it yet appears to be very well constructed and strong. We have a Dogue de Bordeaux who’s a heavy weight and we have purchased this for our upcoming holiday glamping. There is a top which moves around as the animal moves and is also constructed very well and a flat head to hammer into the ground.
Brilliant, strong, easy to use. Held two 26kg dogs and a jack russel with no issues. Easy to put into the ground and pull out.
Be careful of the tether- we bought the one that Amazon linked to it but was lethal! Coated wire cut into dogs leg and bruised me.
Great item.. This held two very strong staffy cross adult dogs, they didn’t shift it at all and both were tethered to one stake when we went for a weekend away with the caravan.

A very good dog spike
A very good dog spike. I put two terriers on one spike and it is fine, much better than the usual cheap one from pet shops. It stays where it is put and we have hd no escapes yet!

Great for camping. Gave to dog a safe place to be watching the camp site, without annoying neighbours. Happy dog, happy owner, happy camp-site. Much more secure than the old corck screw steaks.

This was fantastic, really strong, didn’t move despite our lively 1 year old Springador pulling and moving around. We used the Rosewood Tie-out cable with it and we were very impressed with them. We used them on the beach too and again it was fantastic, no movement whatsoever when he was pulling and he wasn’t able to chew through the cable either. Really glad we went for the Rosewood Yard range, big thumbs up!

I have a Labrador Husky cross that this keeps in check in the garden. She’s a pretty strong dog; never caught her benching or doing squats but I reckon she could deadlift an overweight dwarf/hobbit. Though obviously that would be unusual regardless of this metal stake’s merits.

These are fantastic – so much better than the screw in type. I had 2 very strong dogs attached to 1 of these and it didn’t get pulled out of the ground. I thought that they would be difficult to pull out of the ground when finished with them but came out with ease. Recommend these to anyone with very strong dogs
Spike is very large! I doubt any dog will ever be able to pull this out the ground! Our dog is getting pretty huge and I doubt he will ever pull this out. Great design as the attachment for the lead is low to the ground which ensures the strength of the spike, and the probability of it getting pulled out to be very low. Very well made, robust product.
This is very big,very strong and very heavy which I should have checked before ordering. More of a permanent stake than one for camping/hiking which is what I was looking for. Having said that I can’t fault the product/
Use this when we go camping & it’s been really good most of the time. Only problem is that on one occasion so far my dog has managed to pull it out of the ground & the stake has bent slightly. He’s 27kg so not sure it would be good for heavier animals.
Good strong spike
Good strong spike. Will deffo do the job. However….could build a house for refugees with the packaging !! Ordered 3 and each came in a separate box at least 8 x bigger than needed. Bonkers !!!!!
