It works for the intended ....
I’m not about to write an extensive review for a piece of plastic, so all I can say is that It works for the intended use.
It connect to my iPhone 14 pro max with an external mic whilst a power supply gives it juice. No issues, no disturbance in sound quality whilst charging.
Thanks
I needed extra storage to use with my iPad whilst editing videos/audio and didn’t want to spend 45 on the Apple version of this adapter.
This adapter paired with a SanDisk 256GB flash drive works great. Simply plug and play with no need to plug in an extra power cord, although it is a handy feature. It also transfers files quickly, but this could be due to the USB 3.0 of the flash drive.
Great item. Works perfectly
Used this product so I could connect my iPad to and an Ethernet adapter so I could use with my photobooth software. Used these every weekend and always works without fail.
I was hesitant to buy this as I’d already bought a similar one that rarely worked with my ipad and I’d seen reviews on other products like this that also failed. The instructions were quick and simple to follow and after making one small adjustment to the ipad settings the connection worked immediately. I’m using it to connect a midi controller to various iOS Synthesizers. So far so good.
Bought this to move my many photos off my ipad and onto an external HD. So easy to use, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Managed to move over 500 photos in a short space of time. Got many more to go, lol. Saved space on the ipad. Will also use this to move other items inc some music. Compatible with all my Apple gadgets and works for Android too. Nothing bad to say about this. Get one.
The Device is simple to use. The manual provided has clear instructions. Its plug and play by either connecting the charging cable or without connecting. I checked with ipad and could transfer photos & files. In case of photos pl use share files>>>>save to files for ipad pro.
It would have been better to have an indicator to show the device is working. No complaints.
It worked!
I wanted this to add a digital audio out to my iPhone/iPad for feeding music in to a custom rig.
With some trepidation I plugged it in to an old Behringer U-Control which has a SPDIF digital out and… …it just worked, audio routed out and played just fine. No settings, just seemed to plug and play.
Very nice when something like this just works with a _relatively_ obscure requirement. Very happy.
Better than Apple
Bought this item specifically to transfer photos from a memory stick to I-pad.
Originally I purchased an Apple product, and it kept saying that the accessory needed more power even though the item was properly connected.
I took I-pad and product to our Apple retailer and they could not understand why it did not work so gave me a refund.
This item, at a third of the cost, worked perfectly .
G8 value performance over Apple.
I decided to buy this over Apples version costing 50 or 40 on Amazon. Best 16 I’ve ever spent. It supported Samsung T7 SSD storage including the 1TB version. You use this USB 3.0 camera adapter to power this storage via plugging into mains. Note this adapter is a necessary accessory till Apple get there act together and use USB type c(EU require this by 2024) USB Type-C has the power for direct connection to the SSD . Don’t buy a external HDD requires additional power when using with a phone.
External very old Iomega HDD connected perfectly and both way file transfers were very fast.
Couldn’t find much info on the Web on connecting my ancient Iomega external hard drive to an iPhone. I wanted some files from HDD copied to my iPhone 12 and vice versa. Was pleasantly surprised when Iomega-HDD popped up in my files app. Dead easy to copy pictures and videos onto the HDD and to move files about on the HDD and copy files from HDD to my phone. It’s a big chunky HDD, not a flash drive. Lot cheaper than the Apple one and looks like a solid, well made device in excellent packaging. And, as usual, amazingly fast delivery on Amazon Prime.
Cheap and cheerful
Used to connect IPhone 7 to Audiolab M DAC +. External power supply is required as streaming music flattens the phone battery very quickly. The connection on the DAC has to be the square type USB which would normally be used for a printer, so no power feed.
Unit is a third of the price of the Apple unit, how long it will last who knows. However you could wear out 3 before you get to Apple price..
