    Perfect For Steaming
The Veetop USB Computer Microphone for streaming is excellent because it has really good sound quality. The audio is clear and crisp, which is great. The microphone also looks nice and adds style to my desk setup. I especially like the RGB lighting feature when I’m livestreaming. This microphone is perfect for gaming, podcasting, recording, and streaming because it has a mute button and a pop filter.

Excellent microphone package, offering very good value for money
I shall start this review by mentioning what is included in the box, obviously including the microphone, and then a removable spit guard. Have to say I am both surprised and impressed by the manual. The text is a size that is comfortable for me to read, it even has colour images. You don’t need a brilliant USB cable for recording sound, though the one included which is fairly decent, is a USB-A to USB-C, though the manufacturer has included a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

Controlling the colour emitted by the microphone is simple enough, just tap through the touch sensitive button located just above the manufacturer’s name on the front. The mute button is on top of the microphone, changing from blue to red when muted. The only issue I have is with the volume knob on the back. It doesn’t go all the way to 11, probably because it lacks graduations. I have to mention that the volume knob isn’t mounted in the best place for my fingers. It is located on the rear of the microphone, right in front of the stand, though it is a simple issue to just tilt the microphone to adjust the volume then restore it to the original position.

The sound is perfectly adequate. If you want real high-quality recordings, then you should look to spend a lot more than this microphone costs. I think this microphone offers decent value for money, perfect for someone starting out or someone that requires a microphone occasionally.

Not bad at all, especially considering the price
    In a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ Audio quality is absolutely fine and when you consider the price, it’s great!
+ Price (24) is really very cheap for a mic like this.
+ Pop filter, desk stand and cable (including A to C adapter) included.
+ Stand feels pretty well constructed.

    Things I didn’t like:

    – Mic materials and mic holder both feel a bit plasticky. That’s the compromise at this price point.

    Do I recommend it?

Yes, for basic recording at this price point, you’d be extremely hard-pushed to do better. For occasional use, I expect it to be fine. If you’re planning to do any sort of audio recording for more substantial/professional reasons, you should be looking at higher-priced mics.

Not highest quality mic ever. But usable for basic VO or podcasting.
It’s marketed as a gaming mic. Intuitively I would feel a headset mounted boom mic would likely be better for that specific use case. I do think this would be suitable for basic voiceover or podcasting, though. The only question then is why you’d want the RGB 🙂 It’s a bit confusing.

Certainly not a bad USB mic, but I think perhaps specifically for gaming better options may be available.

Good Sound Quality but RGB is 'so so'
I wanted to give this microphone a try as it looked fairly well featured, including the RGB gamer style aesthetic. The mic itself comes in a box with a pop filter and a very long USB cable. It’s nice to see that they have included an extra-long USB cable as I’m. currently running my computer on the floor and wanting it to come to the other side of my monitor, which is a fair distance.

The microphone Itself has a good build quality while it’s no Razer microphone. It certainly decent for the price. The RGB aesthetic of this, I found to be a little underwhelming the. RGB’s themselves aren’t that bright, however, in a dark room you will easily be able to see them.

The microphone quality is a very big selling point to this. Having used Rode and Razer microphones in the past, I was very surprised on how good this was. I was not getting any clipping or sound issues from this. The Mids and highs for the mic were not bad at all, the sound was pretty representative of a much more expensive mic, the lows did get a little muddy, but maybe that’s just me expecting too much from this. I had no issues plugging this into my Windows PC and using it straight off the bat. After plugging it in Windows recognised it and it was usable straight away.

Overall, I think this mic is a very decent For the money. At just over 25 pounds, this mic has the qualities of a much higher priced microphone. The RGB is a slight let down. However, the quality of the sound it is able to pick up and reproduce is very good. 4/5!

    Far better than expected.
For the cost of the item, the audio quality is very good. Testing it with other people on a call showed that I came across very clearly. Placement is an issue, so you cannot move around to much as positioning does matter. However – its very good for the cost and good overall.

This is a very good Mic for such a low price; it’s not professional though, so don’t expect it to be.

The build and materials are good again for the price, though an expensive item would be expected to be more robust.

The lighting to me was irrelevant, but its not a distraction. Surprisingly good at such a low price.

Absolutely amazing quality for the price
I am genuinely impressed by this microphone. In the box, you receive the microphone, a pop filter, and a USB cable for easy setup. Both Windows and Linux recognized it instantly. During audio tests, I compared it to my laptop’s built-in microphone and my Logitech G733 headset. The quality of this microphone far surpassed that of the laptop microphone. Surprisingly, when compared to my G733 headset, the sound quality was only marginally lower.

The microphone features RGB effects that you can cycle through. Personally, I found these effects a bit distracting, but the LEDs are positioned in a way that creates the desired effect without being visible to the user—indicating good build quality.

Adjusting the volume on the rear of the microphone proved effective. I recommend setting the microphone to about mid-volume and fine-tuning the adjustments through software for optimal results.

Overall, this is a fantastic microphone, especially considering the price. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Really great audio qulaity for a reasonable price
My intended use fo rthis is in video call meetings and not for streaming. The audio quality is excellent. The perceived audio on the other end is very clear and of a high quality, more than you thinnk you would get at this price point.

The build is not the most premium materials, which is exected at the excellent price point but it still feels good and is sturdy.

The manufacturer has added some nice features to this mic. The mute button is a useful addtion when you need to cut mic audio in middle of a call. Its easy to locate and activate.

Im not a big fan of RGB lighting but I admit the controlable lighting is a nice effect for those who like such things and can be turned off comletely if so desired.

And the included shield performs its function quite well.

As with most mics you do need to be considerate of placement to get optimum results.

For a lot of poeple this is an ideal item for their every day home use case, saving them the need to spend significantly more.

    Great sounding microphone.
First thing to note is that this microphone is supplied with a 1.8m USB C to USB cable plus a USB to USB C adaptor. The instructions state this cable shouldn’t be swapped out for a USB C to USB C cable, so I used the original cable.

I plugged this into a USB C on MacBook and used it on a Zoom call, the microphone appears as M8 and works straight out of the box. I had the sound set to ‘original sound’ on Zoom. The sound quality is outstanding for this or any price point, clear highs with a pronounced bass extension that adds low end fullness to the sound. I have no reason to doubt the claimed 192kHz/24-bit resolution.

Note of caution, you need to be speaking towards the microphone, not off axis. Off axis it sounds distant and weak, as any mic would. Switching between this and the M2 Pro enhanced laptop microphone this is a clear winner in clarity and perceived quality. I tried the M8 at a few distances from an inch or so to a metre and the sound was good. If you tend to tend to spit or pop when you speak, scream, shout, sing there is an additional slip on ‘pop shield’ that fits perfectly in a small slot in front of the mic.

I had this mic running with the colour change setting and couldn’t hear any buzzing or zipper noise from the LEDs as they changed colour. The colours can be turned off by holding down the light switch for a few seconds. There is a volume knob on the mic which I left at about 90% plus a handy mute button on top which changes colour when muted.

    Excellent.

    Really good for conference calls
I’m not an avid gamer, but I work at home and typically spend over 30% of my time on Zoom/Teams/Meet calls – and the microphone in my webcam leaves something to be desired.

So this looked really cool and I snapped it up. It’s WAY more than I need – but I really appreciate all the features:

    * It looks cool as heck – multicouloured and dimmable and programmable to the way you like it. Really sleek and tech looking, fits in well with all the electronics I have on my office desk.
    * Sound quality is amazing – crystal clear and testing and asking people on the other side of calls, my sound is crystal clear as well.
    * Super easy to set up – just plugged it into my work PC (I haven’t tried it on my Mac and probably won’t) and it works.
    * The mute feature is a god send – instant cut off. How many times have you been interrupted by loud noises during a call and fumbled to find the mute button on your PC? With this all you need to do tap the top of it and it’s touch sensitive. Super cool.

BONUS – it comes with a long cable – and you an use with an Android smart phone. On times I go into the office, in the line of work I do I need to interview people for stories. This is going to be invaluable for setting up and recording high quality audio (I tested it with my work phone) – far superior than relying on a phone’s microphone.

    Simply great!
