Handy for long filming sessions
The extended battery handle has significantly increased my filming time, which is invaluable during long shoots. It’s straightforward to attach and integrates seamlessly. While it does add some extra weight to the setup, the trade-off for extended battery life is worth it. The fast charging feature is a real benefit, saving time between shoots.
Simple test running a DJI battery extender and this one, recording 4k 25fps to see how long each lasted.
DJI was 3.9 hours, and this one was 5.5 hours, so a decent result, giving an extra 1.5 hours or so.
Extended Shooting Capability!
The Adicop 4000mAh Battery Handle is a game-changer for users of the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, offering extended battery life and 22.5W fast charging capabilities. This accessory is invaluable for videographers and hobbyists who require longer shooting times without the need for frequent recharging. Additionally, the handle’s design includes support for an external tripod, enhancing the stability and versatility of shooting setups.
The capacity to shoot longer with faster recharge times is highly valued by users, who also commend the ergonomic design that makes extended sessions more comfortable. This battery handle is essential for anyone looking to maximize their use of the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, especially during travel or long shooting days.
Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂
I’ve taken this to a few comic comms now and it’s made recording so much easie
I’ve had my Osmo three for rough a year now and I’m absolutely loved it. The only drawback was the fact that I would need to carry a power bank in my pocket and connect it to the Osmo via cable which would often be unsightly and sometimes inconvenient.
Couple of the fact that I’d also need to use a tripod to extend the handball so that I could get some decent selfie shots in groups.
Battery solve 2 problems In one. The backpack itself acting as both an extended handle and the ballot power bank was only prolong the life of the Osmo for an entire duration of a day at a comic con but also made it so much easier to extend the reach of the to get a decent panoramic shot from above and in front looking back.
It’s very easy to charge using a standard cable adapter. The LED lights on the front to just keep easy track of the battery life and if you want to, you can actually deactivate the battery by the power button and save the charging for any touch you needed rather than keeping the Osmo topped up. The fit the Osmo seamless means that it’s not unsightly or bulky compared to the original handle.
Overall, I’m very very pleased with this as I’ve already mentioned its Solved a nagging problem very simply.
Powerful companion and backup

With its good capacity and fast charging capabilities of 22.5W, it ensures extended shooting sessions without interruption. The ergonomic grip provides a comfortable and secure hold, enhancing stability during filming. As a user myself, I appreciate its convenience and performance, making it a standout accessory for the Osmo Pocket 3. Additionally, its support for external tripod attachment adds versatility to your shooting setup. Overall, the Adicop Battery Handle impresses with its combination of good capacity, fast charging, and excellent grip, making it an essential accessory for any Osmo Pocket 3 enthusiast.
Works out the box, good amount of battery life, tripod connectivity
This DJI Pocket 3 battery handle works perfectly with my Pocket 3 and provides an extra oomph of power when recording. There’s no hassle installation and can easily be taken off. The best part is you can still attach accessories to it thanks to the built in thread at the base. Makes it perfect for pairing the battery with a tripod. It’s fairly light weight and doesn’t add much to the already light pocket camera. Honestly, this is providing just an huge increase in battery life that I can’t complain and works intuitively as expected.
Adicop 4000mAh Battery Handle
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.
In terms of quality, it appears well-made, with a robust plastic body, that has been finished to a high standard. I was very surprised at how lightweight it was (you’d expect a battery pack to be somewhat heavy, but the Adicop really wasn’t). It has a nice, ergonomic feel to it that makes it pleasant to carry around with the Pocket.
For such a compact device, it’s so versatile, also doubling as both a tripod and an external device connector (such as a microphone).
The battery life is excellent, and also clearly displayed on the screen – you can even check the battery level without the camera being connected, by double-clicking the button on the power bank. Recharging is straightforward, thanks to the USB-C compatibility.
In summary, a good value item.
powerful and portable
The Adicop 4000mAh Battery Handle for DJI Osmo Pocket 3 impresses with its good quality, compact design, and robust build. With 22.5W fast charging capabilities, it ensures your device stays powered up for extended periods. The battery handle’s compatibility with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and support for external devices make it a versatile accessory for on-the-go filming. Despite its compact size, it packs a punch in terms of power and reliability, making it a must-have for videographers and content creators seeking a portable and dependable solution to keep their equipment running smoothly.
Extended power for epic moments
This battery handle perfectly extends the camera’s working hours, allowing me to capture more unforgettable moments during my journeys. The compatibility with the Osmo Pocket 3 is seamless, and the hot-swapping feature is incredibly convenient. I love that I can connect external audio devices using the Type-C port, enhancing my recording capabilities with digital wired headphones or microphones.
The design is thoughtful, with a 1/4″ thread at the bottom for connecting accessories like tripods, adding versatility to my setup. Plus, the quick charging feature is impressive.
Despite its high capacity, the handle is lightweight and comfortable to hold, weighing only 64.6 grams. The LED lights indicating the battery level are a nice touch, ensuring I always know how much power I have left.
Overall, I was not expecting the 4000mAh battery handle to be so good; it has really improved my Osmo Pocket 3 filming experience. It is an essential piece of gear for any mobile content creator or enthusiast videographer. Strongly advised!
Pretty much a neccessity
When I bought my Pocket 3 I didn’t go for the creator combo because I’m not bothered about most of the extras it includes, I just bought the camera (and it’s amazing, by the way!)
The two things I found myself wanting were extended battery life for longer trips out and the ability to mount it to a selfie stick or tripod so I can hold the camera higher up or further away. This thing does both of those jobs perfectly and as such I’d say it’s the one accessory you absolutely need for this camera, at least for me.
The battery capacity compared to the built in one is huge and massively extends the runtime to the point that I just don’t have to worry about it any more. It has a standard 1/4 20 tripod thread on the bottom so it can easily go on a tripod or selfie stick, and it clips quickly and securely onto the bottom of the camera meaning it can be put on and off in seconds if you want to use the camera without it for some reason.
Build quality is excellent and I honestly can’t find a single fault with it so far. Absolutely brilliant.
Huge capacity, fast charging battery grip
I’ve used my Osmo Pocket 3 extensively in both Madeira and England, and now it’s coming with me to Tenerife where I plan to put it through its paces once again.
To say I’m happy to have this extended battery is an understatement. Previously, I had to wire this up to a power bank that was in my pocket and that is just not good in forests where cables get caught on things.
The original battery in the Osmo 3 is 1300mAh, max run time about 2.6 hours, so now, I’ve got a full day of hiking at my disposal with this 4000mAh battery handle.
It’s not a small handle, so for those of you who clamp this to your helmet or shoulder strap, you may be limited as to when you can use it. But between walks or to use as a hand monopod it’ll be perfect.
Lengeivity in your Pocket(3)
I have the original DJI battery extension which is rated at 950mah. This third party model is rated at 4000mah which is….. massive.
Its roughly twice as long. The build quality is a little below the original version – the plastic is more…. plasticky and there is no rubberized grippy bits. It generally feels slightly less robust and less premium, but ok.
In use it supports 22.5w fast charging so it charges my Pocket 3 and the Pocket 3 recognises it as a fast charger. It has a USB-C slot and a tripod mounting hole, just like the original.
At the time of writing this was 49.99 which I feel is a touch on the expensive side for 4000mah will last ages so much more practical for a weekend away or something like that.
It works well
I’ll start with the main points. It has a much higher capacity than the extra battery you can get in the creator combo pack, so that’s good.
It’s also taller than that combo creator kit battery – and personally I think it’s easy enough to hold when attached to the Pocket 3. It’s quite nice that you can hold it securely with no danger of your fingers obscuring the various microphones on the Pocket 3 (unless you try very hard to obscure them!)
It charges up fast enough for my needs and it’s claimed to give 2 full charges (I haven’t yet run out of charge to verify that).
I will say that it feels lighter than I’d have expected and the finish is not as smooth as quality as you get with the Pocket 3 stuff. The connection is also less positive than you get with an original Pocket 3 battery handle. It definitely feels second tier, but it does the job.
I’ve given 4 stars because I think the little clips to attach to the Pocket body should really be more positive in action. They feel a bit “squidgy” to me.
tons of extra power for Pocket 3, easy to attach and fits well, versatile USB-C po
PROS
-seems like almost endless battery life (great for when you can’t recharge, or you plan on really extended shooting sessions)
-fits my Pocket well
-if you didn’t get the combo pack, this will give you all the battery life you need (the combo pack extra battery is smaller than this one)
-its USB-C port can be used for charging, and also for connecting external audio devices (that use USB-C, of course)
CONS
-none
NOTES
-it does make the Pocket look ridiculously tall (but you gotta sacrifice _something_ for all that extra battery life)
MY STAR RATINGS:
1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
Good quality
As someone who loves capturing moments on the go with my DJI Osmo Pocket 3, I recently got my hands on this to try!
First off, let’s talk about that battery life. With a whopping 4000mAh capacity, this handle keeps my Osmo Pocket 3 powered up for extended shooting sessions without any worries of running out of juice. Plus, it supports fast charging at 22.5W, so I can quickly top up the battery when needed and get back to filming in no time.
But what really sets this battery handle apart is its versatility. Not only does it provide extra power, but it also supports external audio devices, which is a huge plus for capturing high-quality sound. Whether I’m recording interviews or capturing live performances, having the option to connect external microphones enhances the overall audio experience.
And let’s not forget about stability. The battery handle doubles as a tripod, providing a steady base for my Osmo Pocket 3, especially when shooting in challenging environments or capturing time-lapses. It’s lightweight and portable, making it convenient to take along on all my adventures.
Overall, the 4000mAh Battery Handle for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a must-have accessory for anyone serious about their filmmaking. With its long-lasting battery life, fast charging capabilities, support for external audio devices, and tripod functionality, it enhances both the practicality and creative potential of the Osmo Pocket 3. Trust me, you won’t want to leave home without it.
Extends the handle and battery life perfectly
This battery power bank extends the life of your pocket 3 significantly.
It comes packed well with usb charger cable and manual
Take it out of the box, charge it up and it’s ready to go
It has display lights on the front to indicate how charged it is and when it’s ready to go.
It connects to your pocket three by simply attaching to the bottom of your camera, with a satisfying snap to say it good to go
Camera turns on as usual and it detects the power coming in just fine
This should double the power of your osmo pocket three so is really handy for long shoots or a day out where you can’t get to a charger
The best part for me though is that it really extends the area you can hold your pocket three. I have large hands so this is really great for me
Good produc
This will be a review in 2 parts
I ordered my Osmo Pocket 3 creator combo some time ago on Amazon but rather frustratingly due to it’s popularity it has been on back order for what feels like forever and will at the earliest be at least a month before delivery.
So when I was offered this battery handle to test for free I was in a bit of a quandry, do I politely decline or do I say yes and hope it is all it promises to be.
It wasn’t really that hard a decision and as it arrived today I thought I’d write a quick review of my first impressions.
Having already handle the Pocket 3 with DJI battery pack I can say that this is considerably larger and should provide much more hand real estate when in use, something not to be sniffed at.
Build quality on first inspection seems good though the proof of the pudding will be in the eating so obviously I shall be editing this review once I can actually use it for a while.
I will say that it is comfortable to hold with nicely rounded edges, and the inclusion of a 1/4 threaded hole at the bottom is a nice addition allowing multiple mounting opportunities.
Never have I been more frustrated waiting for a delivery, this will now sit on my desk taunting me until the end of April at the earliest though god forbid, June has also been mentioned 🙂
