I had one of these for my first son back in 2012 and it was a god send. We’ve moved on from the ‘elbow in to test the water’ trick and I was always worried bath water would be too hot or too cold. I used this from birth until my son was about 3 years old. It acts as a toy so when he got a little older it was part of his bathtime routine of popping one of these in before he could get it and helped him with learning numbers too! The price is about the same as what I paid over 10 years ago and is a product you will use daily so well worth the money

This is cool, it looks like a bath toy. Threw it in the bath and once it contacted the water it measured and displayed the temperature quickly. My taps are regulated to a safe temperature anyway and this thermometer proved that by displaying a safe temperature even when I blasted the hot tap and nothing else. The design is cute and it floats around with the display easy to read. It’s bright and clear, the little green light means the temp is good, blue for cold and red for hot! once removed the display soon loses power and auto shuts off saving the battery for next time, great little product.

I have given this product 5 out of 5 stars as this is a useful little bathtime tool, which clearly displays the bath temperature and is fun for you and baby. What I really liked about this product is the ‘too hot’ or ‘too cold’ information plus it includes batteries pre-installed plus a spare set batteries.

Handy tool for bath time
Arrives in a small box and is ready to use with the batteries already installed. Mine did not come with spare batteries in the box.
Initially I didn’t think this thermometer was very accurate. At one point this thermometer was reading a safe 36.6 degrees when my food thermometer was telling me the water was much hotter at 43.8 degrees. On reading the instructions it tells you to clean the sensors on the bottom with liquid soap or shampoo before use – this, I hadn’t done! I’m assuming that cleans off some kind of protective layer as once I had done that the temperatures were much closer to each other. Failing to clean the sensors could mean that the water is much hotter than you think. It is also important to keep circuating the water for an accurate reading as the surface temperature is generally cooler than the deeper water.
I like the simple design of the coloured droplet system with this theremometer. If the water drop logo is BLUE it’s too cold, GREEN is just right and RED is too hot.

It came in a little box that was dented, and damaged in parts but the actual thermometer itself was fine. It floats nicely and the temperature reading clearly stands out against the water. It is quite receptive and changes really quickly depending on when you add hot or cold.

It works straight out of the box
I got this thermometer as I have a toddler and we are expecting, we have been using different thermometers for nearly 2 years, then I came across this. It just works!
The thermometer is in a cute blue ray style. There are already 2 batteries in the product and was surprised when this came with an additional 2 batteries in the box. Although the product picture is in Fahrenheit, I can confirm out of the box this thermometer read in Celsius.
The batteries are underneath the thermometer which there is a “X” etched out, you can access the batteries by using a coin or key to twist open/closed.
As soon as the thermometer touches the water, it automatically turns on and starts reading the temperature. As soon as you remove the thermometer, it automatically turns off to conserve battery life.
It’s super bright and easy to read. Overall, for the price I would definitely recommend this thermometer.

This lovely baby bath thermometer arrived packaged well and is very good quality. The actual thermometer is a fun shape (stingray) and is very sturdy, the digital screen will tell you if the water is too cold, too hot or perfect which is reassuring before bathing a baby; this is definitely as essential daily item to have at home; there is also a manual and batteries included. This thermometer would also make a nice present for family or friends; good value for money due to the high quality and I would recommend!

I like the toy shape but it would be a while before the new arrival gets the benefit of the toy aspect. I was left wondering what to do with the thermometer in terms of turning it on and the instruction were silent on this so took a leap of faith and put the thermometer in water. It came straight on illuminating the display. To test the device i placed it in the kitchen sink and filled it. It immediately came on I started cold and the photos above show light colours on the change of temperature. Temperature measurement appeared correct. The device displays degrees and has coloured light warning red too hot green about right and blue too cool. A ideal practical bath time aid. The device takes elbow in the water guess work out of baby bath time. I like the additional 2 spare batteries provided.
