    Just what I wanted
My old Breville OneCup dispenser finally gave up the ghost after 11 years of excellent service. Because of that I purchased the HotCup and glad I did. It is as good as the old OneCup and has the advantage of using different mug sizes. Love it.

    Quick cups
Heats up the water quickly (alot quicker than a kettle).
Though it holds 2L: if you are a frequent hot drink drinker, or if you start using it for other hot foods (e.g. pot noodles), you will have to frequently refill it; but due to its size, you can’t keep placing it under a tap. You will need a flask or large cup sat next to it, to use to refill it.

I bought this because I have arthritis in my hands and fingers and was struggling to lift a kettle. The water boiler is great and I wish I had found it earlier. I fill the reservoir with a small jug and then whenever I want a cuppa throughout the day I just put my cup under the spout and press the button. It boils quickly and just enough for my cup each time. The dial is easy to set for different mug or cup sizes. No more struggling with heavy kettles and nearly getting scolded. I would recommend this to anyone with lifting issues.

    Good upgrade
This was an upgrade as I had an older one cup which I have passed on to my brother.

I like the fact I can choose the amount of water I use depending on the size of cup.
It is a good design and fits kn well with my kitchen decor.

I recommend this product without hesitation.

    Excellent purchase.
Easy to use, very efficient and works beautifully. I am quite disabled and having the ability to make cups oftea for myself has helped me be more independent. Thank you.

    time for a cuppa
I drink too much, all day everyday. I’m a tea junkie with way too many cups of tea. Boiling a standard kettle every hour was a waste of energy and re-boiled water affect the taste negatively so I though I’d give this a try.
It’s been with me for many months now. The first one developed a fault after a week or so, but it was quickly sorted out by Amazon.
If you make tea/coffee only for you and often – this piece of equipment is a must. It also looks good and it’s got a knob for difference cup sizes, which is handy when my missus wants to have a gallon-size herbal tea.

    breville one cup
it was almost twice the price of the one I bought about 6 years ago.
hopefully it won’t develop the same problems, ie, lid not opening, and then recently continuing to boil after it switched itself off.
I hope the new one, which works well, will last at least as long as the previous one.
one of its good features is that the amount of water dispersed is alterable to fit the siz of the cup used..

    Easy to use
Had one of these previously when it eventually gave up after 9 years I thought I’d replace it with one of the variable fill One up Breville. After owning it for only 3 days I had to send it back as the fill wasn’t consistent. Whichever fill I set it on it would different amounts each time (sometimes it was just an egg cup full !)
I purchased this OneCup that just gives you the one fill of 250ml hopefully it will last as long as the one I’d had for 9 years.

    Perfect for tea or coffee
Bought this to replace a 12 year old Breville Hot-Cup which was struggling due to internal limescale build-up …
Love it … Choose the amount of boiling water dispensed … removable drip tray to pour boiling water into a bowl of “whatever you fancy” and an instant stop button for the occasional misjudgement … it even looks good … Highly recommended.

This arrived yesterday and I filled it up to the max mark. Switched in on after adjusting settings and it boiled very quickly and worked well. I found that it took three max level water boils and emptying before the water stopped tasting of plastic. It’s now ok. The only problem I have found is that the lead is either too small or too long because there’s only one gap to lock it into. All manufacturers of kettles seem to do the same and I don’t understand why. A previous reviewer said the water didn’t get as hot as a normal kettle, but mine got really hot and was the same as my kettle. Perhaps hers is faulty. I purchased this because I have arthritis and it will save me lifting a heavy kettle. I use filter jugs to fill it because I live in a very hard water area. I also have used a stainless steel pan cleaner for years dropped inside the kettle and it’s great at collecting limescale and keeps the kettle clean. I wash it first under hot water and every so often I take it out and squeeze it a lot which removes the limescale , and I just pop it back into the kettle. The switch on the back to open the lid is difficult to press especially if the machine is facing me, so I have to use it sideways on. Would be better if it was a button like the on switch.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersBreville HotCup Hot Water Dispenser.
The Breville HotCup Hot Water Dispenser has proven to be a game-changer in my daily routine, offering unparalleled convenience and energy efficiency in the realm of hot water dispensers.

The standout feature of this appliance is its impressive 3kW fast-boil technology. Boasting the ability to bring water to a boil in a matter of seconds, the HotCup ensures that you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying your favourite hot drinks. This is particularly handy for those busy mornings or when entertaining guests, providing a quick and efficient solution for your hot water needs.

The variable dispense functionality adds an extra layer of customisation to the HotCup’s performance. Whether you need a small amount of hot water for a concentrated tea or a larger quantity for a pot of soup, the dispenser caters to your specific needs. The easy-to-use controls allow for precise dispensing, reducing water wastage and ensuring that you get the perfect amount every time.

With a generous 2.0L capacity, the Breville HotCup strikes a balance between practicality and efficiency. The larger capacity means fewer refills, making it an ideal choice for households with multiple hot beverage enthusiasts or for use in an office setting.

One of the standout qualities of the HotCup is its energy-efficient design. The dispenser only boils the water you need, reducing energy consumption and contributing to overall energy savings. This not only makes it an environmentally conscious choice but also translates to potential cost savings over time.

The sleek and compact design of the Breville HotCup is another noteworthy aspect. It fits seamlessly into most kitchen setups without taking up excessive counter space. The transparent water tank adds a visual element, allowing you to monitor the water level easily.

In conclusion, the Breville HotCup Hot Water Dispenser delivers on its promise of fast boiling, variable dispensing, and energy efficiency.

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersSaves time, saves energy and saves lifting a heavy kettle!
I’ve enjoyed using a standard capacity Breville HotCup dispenser for many years until it finally packed up. It wasn’t until I had to resort to heating water in a saucepan on the gas stove that I realised just how long it takes to boil water for a cuppa! The Breville HotCup water dispenser is a life changer when working from home and this enhanced model with a larger capacity 2 litre reservoir improves that experience on several levels.

A drawback with hot water dispensers can be overfilling small cups and then leaving you with half a mug of tea when you really want a full cuppa. This HotCup dispenser has an adjustable 9 position cup size dispense control and it works perfectly from filling a medium expresso coffee cup to a large mug without overflowing. The middle position is also perfect for my favourite slimmer coffee mug! Check out my video to see it in action.

The unit looks attractive with a polished chrome lid and top panel although it shows up fingerprints. There is also a chrome finished splash guard behind the cup and a removable stainless steel drip tray capable of containing up to a full cup of water.

The unit feels well made and solid despite being mostly plastic and the cord extends up to 0.8m from the base. Excess cord can be neatly stored under the base and exits the rear. A non-reusable BS standard 13A fused plug is fitted. The unit feels considerably heavier and larger than my previous model due to the bigger reservoir, but I prefer to fill it with a separate jug than taking the unit to the tap.

Using the HotCup dispenser is easy with a large start button, a stop button infront which works both to stop before and during dispensing. Behind the start button is the adjustable cup size lever. To open the lid you press a button behind it and the lid rises with a soft damped action. Nice touch! There’s even a button to close the lid so as not to get fingerprints on that shiny chrome.
You can easily check fill level with the markings on both sides of the transparent reservoir section.

In action the water reservoir, lid and front upper edge illuminate blue to indicate heating. Between pressing the on switch and the cup being filled with hot water takes between 35 and 55 seconds. The smallest cup size setting is perfect for a medium expresso sized coffee cup whilst the largest cup size setting will fill a large mug. The unit isn’t very noisy either when it boils the water and dispenses, and the extra capacity reservoir is enough to fill up to 10 small cups or around 5 large mugs. Another great advantage of using this unit is not having to lift a heavy kettle full of boiling water! It saves energy and time as you only heat the water you use. The drinks also taste good with no plastic after taste. Just follow the excellent instructions and be sure to discard the first 5 or so measures of hot water before regular use.

Product does exactly what it states, supplies a measured quantity of boiling water, (defo boiling), easy to use, i like the range of different cup size settings….the only issue i have is….who decided the catch to open the lid should be on the back of the machine, awful design idea, as you cant just push it with one hand…the button to close it is on the top….this same button could and should have been used to open it as well..imo
Update…having now used this for 4months i note the following.
1, it drips a lot after dispending the water
2, the button at the rear to raise the lid has now become difficult to push i.e. more force is now required…
