    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou can’t beat the original. Tried the compatible ink from different vendors and the black always comes as grey. Perhaps Brother is preventing the use of compatible ink via their printer firmware, ink is ink, but apparently not with Brother printers, as compatible black ink always comes out as grey.

    The best option to save money is to use Brother LC-3219XL or Brother LC-3217XL (smaller) for Black and compatible for colour.

    The Brother LC-3219XL also lasts longer than Brother LC-3217XL. Great product but overpriced.
