Works perfectly
I opted for this charging cable because of the legacy Dell charging adapter, as I lost my very old Inspiron 1530 charger a long time ago and upon discovering the laptop in the loft recently I wanted to fire it up again. This cable is strong, with the attachments fitting into each other very well.
As soon as I plugged the smaller part into the adapter and into the laptop it fired into life! It charges consistently with no dropouts, which is especially good in my case as the old laptop’s battery is so decrepit that it requires constant power to it. All in all I couldn’t be happier.
Same as the original
Happy with this order, I’m Highly impressed with the quality of this cable. The quality is top-notch, and very close to the original oem charger. The cable ends are well-crafted, the charger block stays cool with no overheating, and charging speed seems to be the same as the original as well, If not slightly faster.
Good quality, and a very good price.

Works as expected
The last charger I purchased for my Dell Laptop was 16.50. This time round I took a chance on this cheaper one and I don’t regret it at all. It is charging my laptop just as good as my last. Just Hope it lasts longer than my last. If you need a charger for you Dell laptop and this is compatible, I would recommend.
Dell charge
This is really good quality and is very well made. It charged my dell laptop really fast and so far it runs nice and cool and connected every time. A good value option with peace of mind it will charge reliably.
Good replacement for the original Dell charge
This is a great replacement for the original Dell charger, albeit they do differ slightly cosmetically. On use, though, they function the same, but I wonder if it will prove as robust as the original.
My first photo shows the charger (with power cable attached), the alternative connector adapter (not used by us) and the box they came in.
My first photo shows this charger together with the charger that was supplied by Dell themselves when the laptop was purchased so that you can see the difference.
I was concerned after placing the order when I realised that what I thought was the relevant laptop model in the listing was not the precise model (so many different models!), however, I needn’t have worried as it’s perfect!
There are differences as you can see from the photo:
* “Choke” or “accumulator” on the original; not on this replacement
* Cable is thicker on original than on this replacement
* The “bendy bit” (don’t know what it’s called!) where the cable emerges from the charger is more robust on the original, but the corresponding bit at the other end seems pretty much the same.
* The power cable on the original is 3-pin, but only 2-pin on this replacement, so the mains cables are not interchangeable (neither being better than the other according to an electrician, just different)
The cable length is identical (I didn’t bother checking the mains cables, just the charger-to-laptop cable)
The power aspects are identical, and, most important of all, the laptop can’t tell the difference between the old and the new and charges like a dream, but my wallet certainly can!

Good budget replaceme
This is a good charger. It doesn’t quite charge my DELL 5590 up as quickly as the original, but works perfectly well as a substitute or spare.
The 5590 port uses the larger diameter plug which is included in the pack as an adapter. However the smaller plug will be suitable for other DELL models.
It’s a comprehensive little pack.

I recently had the misfortune of breaking the original charger which came with my laptop, so I ordered a new one from Amazon, which worked perfectly.
To ensure I don’t end up in a similar situation, I decided to get this one to keep as a spare.
I have tested it out and it charges my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop with no problems whatsoever. Ideal as a spare or replacement.
