Great for cleaning patios!
After trying all sorts of methods for getting rid of black spots/lichen off my sandstone patio, I stumbled on these chlorine granules. Within minutes they can remove the green hue from the sandstone and restore it to its natural colour (though of course this doesn’t remove the dirt that the water blaster used to do – along with the pointing between the tiles). Mix the granules up in a bucket of warm water until dissolved, then splash the water over the patio, spreading with a yard broom. The black spots didn’t go immediately, but were much improved after one or two seasons. I get about 8 bucketfuls from one of these tubs. At this dilution, I haven’t seen any damaging effect on the plants that edge the patio.
Chlorine granules for Hot Tub
Item was on offer so it was good value and as described and it arrived by post on time. Previously purchased this product and used it so I knew item quality was good and reliable.
It works! I put 4 heaped teaspoons in a jug . Then add warm ish pool water and stir. Leave it for a few, then stir again until dissolved . It can take a couple more stirs sometimes. However then I pour it in at the jet and it works. That’s on a 12′ by 1m deep pool. On the spa I put maybe 3 flat teaspoons in the same way. I test always before getting in. I’ve tried the floating tablets they are just so unpredictable. This you know what you’re getting
I have used these crystals for years after being on holiday for two weeks and not having used the pool for a couple of weeks before when we took the cover off the pool it resembled a pond very green and full of algi i went to my local garden and pool centre and sought advise i was recommended these crystals was told to put a cup full in a bucket of water and pour into the pool hey presto a good day later pool looked like i had just filled with fresh water and that same water was in the pool all that summer the chap that recommended these crystals told me to put my hand in the pool if i couldn’t smell the chlorine then to top up with another cup full and that s what we have done every 3/4 weeks i was surprised having not had one of these pools before i thought you would have to keep emptying and re filling the pool not so with these crystals i have tried the tablets in a floating dispenser but i find the crystals more effective
A spoonful of these granules once a day keeps my 10ft frame pool water crystal clear. Would recommend. Tip: dissolve in a cup of luke warm water before you put in pool so it doesn’t just sink to the bottom and take ages to dissolve. Also, pour into the pool near the pump inlet to help it circulate easily.
I sprinkle this power into the pond (no fish) and make sure it’s all dissolved by swirling the water around. After a day or 2 the water goes a milky colour then 24hrs later it’s crystal clear for around 2 weeks.
In winter I discover the power with hot water first then water can it into the pond.
I have tried everything to keep the water from going green and this is the best product I’ve ever used.
The birds and cats drink out of it aswell and haven’t curled over haha. Been using it for 2 years now.
