Really good quality secateurs that are easy to use. The ratchet system makes it much easier to cut thicker branches than basic secateurs.
The handle lock is fiddly. It’s supposed to be one-handed operation but it’s awkward to use and a bit stiff. Ok I guess for people with one hand but I’d have preferred a simpler mechanism than needed two hands.
The anti-rust sponge confused me. There’s nothing on thr back of the packet which mentions what it is so I had to check the Amazon listing. Then I realised that mine didn’t have a sponge inside it. That was why I couldn’t work out what a little bit of removable plastic was for! I guess this would be good to help keep the most important part working well but just a shame mine was missing it.
Overall they’re good and make the job easier which is always welcome. Pretty decent price as well.
Excellent at its job
This product deserves the good reviews it gets. easy and comfortable to use and giving a good, clean cut. More expensive than many, but, hey, you get what you pay for.
Bought for general garden use. As a left-hander they’re fine to use and cut cleanly. Easy to tighten the pressure between the two handles to keep them close together. Only used them for a month but seems able to cut 10-15 mm branches and blade seems durable.
