A good range of resistances and come in a useful little black bag.
These were exactly what I needed, and they do the job nicely for doing arm and leg toning workouts.
They also have a good range of resistances and come in a useful little black bag.
All in all, a very nice product, that does what it says.
small, thin, portable bands for youngsters to stretch and strengthe
With a house of competitive swimmers, gymnasts and dancers these looked like a useful aid to assist with their home training.
The band are rather small, 60cm circumference, which limits use for adults but for smaller adults and kids they are useful.
The bands are coloured and clearly marked x-light, light, medium, heavy,-heavy.
The resistance of the bands is listed on the sales description but nowhere on/ with the product, there is as information leaflet with some suggested exercises but no indication of the resistance weight of each band.
With an army of young athletes I am testing a few types of resistance bands to identify something best suited to each child’s needs. I am testing another set same size, colours and listed resistances but each band definitely feels as if it offers more resistance than the corresponding bands in this set.
For that reason I find this set is ideally suited to my younger athletes to strengthen at home.
The green (x-light) is my favourite band, it is listed for stretching and warming up, and is ideal for development stretching for ballet and gymnastics but also for me to use for shoulder re-hab, it is the only band I have found of many tried that I can easily move with my shoulder. I am claiming this one!
At the time of ordering these were 9.89. At the time of review they are 3.75 delivered. I can’t fault them at that price for youngsters to stretch and train with.
Pocket gym accessible to everyone.
These bands are ridiculously cheap, and accessible to everyone. They take up hardly any space, you can carry them around with you, and work-out wherever you want. The park, your garden, at a friend’s house, at your desk. Suitable for anyone, all ages.
You get five different coloured bands, each of which has a different strength of resistance. You also get a waterproof drawstring storage bag to keep them in. They are clearly labelled, so you know which is the easiest and the hardest to use. Start off on the easy one (green), and gradually work your way up to the hardest (black).
There were no instructions on how to use these bands, and if you don’t know what you’re doing and don’t use them correctly, you could easily cause yourself an injury. Please don’t just start pulling on them. They do need to work difference muscle groups. If you’re not sure about how to use them, I highly recommend you look up a YouTube video called “Loop (Resistance) Band Exercises for Beginners”. This will walk you through exactly what you need to know to use these safely.
These bands are 5cm wide, and are in a continuous loop, so you don’t need to clip them together or hold the ends while you are using them. At this price, most definitely recommended.
good for gym
his is good for the gym, i love love this. it has helped me grow muscles, they all have a different strength/weight. i was very suprised that these were strong. i was expecting these to be quite flimsy but i was shocked.
just make sure that the bands dont snap back on you leg as it HURTS
Nice little se
Resistance bands are great for taking up minimal space or adding a little something extra to workouts. These offer all difference resistance strengths – green being the easiest to black being the hardest.
Comes with a storage bag – which is the only real downside to these – they are a squeeze to say the least and it cheapens the set. They’d have been better off just leaving it ou
Simple and Effective
Following heart surgery, my rehab team advised me to improve my core strength and I thought these would be an ideal choice.
Upon arrival, I was a little disappointed that the bands were smaller than expected at about 300mm each but they do seem very durable and stretch well. They are colour-coded and labelled appropriately and can be stored safely in the supplied nylon bag.
Because of the length of the bands, you are limited to the types of exercise you can perform, but I use them for a few minutes at a time on basic stretches and they do work. However, I would look elsewhere if you are looking for a more intense workout.
Set of 5 resistance bands
I selected this to assist with my recent diagnosis of arthritis in my knees, my physio gave me a set of exercises that needed bands.
Being able to change between the 5 different resistances is good for both the different types of exercise and also once the exercises become easier then I can increase the resistance.
The 5 bands are clearly labelled and each one is a different colour, they can be stored in a bag that is provided.
The bands seem durable and the thought of them snapping hasn’t once crossed my mind, this makes me feel confident when exercising with them.
A good set if you are looking for something not too challenging resistance level wise.
Good value bands.
These are workman like bands, the limiting factor (and a benefit for storage) is that they are quite small which will restrict what you can do with them (especially on the heavier bands with less extension), but it has to be said that at the time of writing the price (under 4) means you can get two sets and increase your options/flexibility that way.
The graduated firmness of the bands is sensible and you can use two bands of different firmness at the same time to increase your resistance that way.
The durability of the bands is good, I extended the lightest one (and thinnest in cross section) fully across my chest with arms extended and it did well.
If you are looking for something that you can almost keep with you, take on holiday say or keep in the office desk that will give you a reasonable range of options for some resistance exercise “on the go” then the compact nature of these will be for you. As an introduction to using resistance bands these could also be a starting point.
The product works well within it’s limitations and I have no problem recommending it.
Good for a beginne
I’m new to using resistance bands so its good that they are clearly labelled so I can start with the easy. I dont go to the gym and dont want anything “over the top” just something to use with pilates and to help with exercises on specific areas of the body ie to strength legs and core.
Decent resistance bands with a good range of resistance
I got these as I have suffered for a long time with tendonitis in both my shoulder and elbow. These bands have helped strengthen my joints, starting off with a gentle resistance and gradually working up.
Great Sensory Tool for Kids (and Adults)
Item: Good Nite Resistance Bands
Current price: 6.99 (5 bands)
I know these resistance bands are intended for fitness, but they are also fantastic for proprioceptive input for kids (and adults) with sensory needs.
We’ve been looping one of the heavier bands around the front legs of a chair at home or school, and my kid can put their legs in front of the band and push back against it with their feet, put their legs behind the bend and push forwards, or put their legs between the two runs of the loop and alternate as they wish. This gives them the “heavy work” muscle input they crave whilst they are still sitting down on a chair – making it much easier for them to stay seated during lessons and mealtimes without having to get up and move around.
I’m sure they work well for all of the exercises shown in the product description, but for us, it’s all about the sensory feedback, and these resistance bands work great for that.
Simple but effective bands
This is a nice little set of five resistance bands. The bands are pretty basic but serve their purpose well. They provide varying levels of resistance based on the colour and corresponding thickness of the band.
Each of the bands are about the length of a standard ruler. They’re suitable for specific exercises that require a shorter band such as leg raises and squats, and are effective at increasing the difficulty of these movements. However, you won’t be standing on these and using them in a bicep curl, for example – for those types of exercises you’d require longer bands with attachments. The bands offer a fair level of resistance, particularly the heavier ones of the set, and stretch a decent amount without looking like they will break or permanently distort under tension.
Each of the bands are clearly labelled and brightly colour coded, meaning you can very quickly and easily find the correct band for your desired level of resistance. They fold up well and can be stored in the included simple nylon carry pouch. They’re also pretty lightweight and compact making them ideal for packing in a gym bag or travelling. Overall, a useful simple set of bands and a great addition to a home exercise setup or to take to the gym or a class.
Good variety
Good variety of resistance bands, varying stretch levels.
None are frayed or at risk of snapping.
Reason for 4 stars is the x heavy (black) isn’t as restrictive as other x heavy black bands that I’ve had before, and so I find myself reverting to using it instead.
Good selection of resitances
Good selection of what are effectively large elastic bands.
Good selection of different resistances which are clearly defined by their different colours.
Sturdy enough, but I guess time will tell how long they last.
Simple but effective budget loop resistance bands
These five simple loop bands are differentiated by colour and strength, from X-Light to X-Heavy. Each band has its resistance level printed on the side so there is no need to remember which colour is which. They come in a simple drawstring bag. I found them simple but effective, though the fabric is not very thick which may mean they do not last as long as some. For a budget set though I am happy with them; and I love the fact that a tiny bag is all you need to enable some great exercises when travelling, if you are in a hotel without a gym for example. There are no example exercises, nor is the tension specified.
Ultra light-weight bands, take no space, handbag friendly. Workout unobtrusively at your desk?
I did not have great hopes of these little exercise bands, but now they are here I love them. They are not strong enough for your regular gym bros (even though these days gym bros do use bands, whereas not so long ago they despised them). These bands will suit someone like me who is not very strong because elderly or just starting / re-starting training (or both). In fact the resistance from the lightest (green) band is gentle enough that it might allay the fears and slip under the guard of a person convinced that training with weights is not for them. The black band (strongest) is thick enough to be more of a challenge, at least to the upper body.
These bands are so small and light, one of them could be carried quite unnoticed in a handbag or pocket or kept beside your computer, to be picked up for a few reps while eg queuing on the telephone or boiling a kettle. This would be in line with the latest training advice, promoting the value of brief bouts of exercise.
A little carrying bag is included. As is so often the case with bags provided for fitness gear, this bag is not very nice. The material is nasty stiff nylon and the skimpy size means that packing all 5 bands away takes time and effort. Some equipment sellers do provide nicer bags, made of softer, maybe flexible mesh fabric which permits the user to view the contents and select the desired band more easily. The last thing gym-goers want is to be obliged to tip out all 5 bands in order to find the one they want to use (while the precious minutes of their lunch-break tick away).
As the user gains strength, s/he can work up the bands from green to black, and then start ramping up the resistance by pairing two bands together. If eventually all options seem too easy, that will be 6.99 well spent and you can triumphantly go on to buy yourself a tougher set. Here you have the option of Free Returns if you regret your purchase, but you probably won’t.
The basic optio
These resistance bands, as the price might suggest, are about as basic as they come. They aren’t very wide and I worry about how long they might last. They come in five different strengths and fold down neatly into the carry pouch that comes with them. If you’re looking for a cheap option, this is the one.
