Is the security camera outdoor wireless or wired?
The description of “wireless” refers to this camera supporting 2.4GHz WiFi wireless connection, it does not mean that it is a battery camera.
What to do if the WiFi configuration doesn’t work?
Only 2.4GHz WiFi is supported. If your router supports dual bands, split the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. You can also contact Imou support team for further assistance.
What to do if the camera goes offline on Imou life App?
If the red LED light is flashing, move the camera closer to the router and reinstall it. If the green LED light is steady, check if your mobile phone’s network is normal and smooth
How to download the SD card video from Imou App?
Connect phone to the same network as the camera and access Imou life App>Me>Tool>Lan view to download the SD card video. Each camera has a 30-day trial period of Imou Cloud to discover more advanced features, then decide whether or not to subscribe.
How long is the support period of firmware?
It is at least 2 years, the day of firmware update cessation is 2027/12/31.

Purchased this outdoor camera recently, after a good experience with an Imou indoor camera, for use 30 metres from house in the garden to watch wildlife overnight. Very pleased that it picks up the wifi from there. I particularly like the fact that you can optionally set the infra red light to change to a floodlight on detection and then films in colour.
Really easy to setup I’ve bought this to help with a ghost hunting project but all the different items this camera has to offer is perfect for security reasons, I love the tracking this has and it’s spot on.

Picture Quality is brillia
Great camera- easy to set up, app is user friendly and lots of functions. The video is clear and wide span. Camera can be remotely adjusted, has a microphone and a light, as well as a siren if needed. Super camera for the price and in general!
I found the product easy to install and link to the app. 2k picture quality is good.
Security light function is great, illuminates perfectly.
I haven’t tried the alarm as it is at the front of my property.
The one downside I would say is that because the camera is over my driveway it does detect my own vehicle quite often, even when just parked.
Only downside is that it is a little bit fiddly to mount due to screw locations, hard if your up a ladder. But overall for the price it is well worth it that I bought a second one. Even the family are looking at purchasing just for peace of mind.
It is also great as you don’t need a subscription as it’s stored via memory card. A 128gb will record for 10/11 full days, could increase more if you schedule to record only certain times a day.

Good camera. For day and night. Easy to install. Easy to set up on the app. Inserted memory card. I would recommend to friends and family. Neighbours already wanting one and asking me to order for them. Price is great.
30 minutes to install it, 3 minutes to set it up, its so easy to set up and operate. I now have 4 Imou cameras recording to SD cards locally and to my NAS drive over the network. I might even replace one of the other 3 with another of these.
My only gripe is the tracking is a bit random at times but the ability to move the camera from the app manually and 5mp image more than makes up for it.
Gives really clear videos
Most annoying factor is, the camera tracking. The camera doesn’t follow a person properly, it’s slow to react. The person moves faster than the camera. When the camera locates our postman, he goes to the letterbox delivers the letter, the camera picks him up halfway back up the drive. The camera misses most of the movement.
