A bit thin for a blanket, more like a sheet.
It’s an attractive design but seems expensive for what is really only a thin groundsheet. There won’t be any padding underneath you on a stony beach.
The advantage of being thin is that it packs down very small, although I still find it a challenge to get it back in the carrying bag. It’s lightweight so can easily be stowed in a backpack, for example.
I like the included pegs to keep it in place so that it can’t be blown away.

This beach blanket is pretty good! It’s large, sand-proof, and dries quickly. The vibrant colours and durable material make it perfect for any beach day. Easy to pack and carry, it’s a must-have for beach lovers. Highly recommend!
Lightweight & low volume, good for marking your territory.
This is a lightweight beach blanket (a “covering” really), apparently made out of material similar to a tent. As a result it takes up very little space when packed away, is light and water resistant.
Waterproofing on tents never lasts – UV in particular causes the waterproofing to fail – so in time I have no doubt that it will need to be rewaterproofed using a spray. That’s easily done.
It comes with 4 pegs. I’d only use those in soil – in sand, they pop out. On the beach, grab some stones or put your bags in the 4 corners.
One thing this achieves and is very good at is it marks your “territory”. It has a psychological effect – (most) people respect your space. We used it on holiday abroad – the only people who walked on it were the occasional child – no, ran across it at high speed. That’s kids for you!
The bonus is it is so light and small that it isn’t a burden to take on holiday and doesn’t really eat into our baggage allowance, unlike our kids’ inflatables (but that’s another story).
As it’s light and thin, it can’t offer either insulation or protection from sharp items. If you put this over a sharp stick, the stick is surely going to puncture it. It’s best as a lightweight sand shield and territory marker.

I ordered this for the occasional picnic but mostly for garden use.
The blanket covers a nice large area and stops any grass moisture coming through and helps avoid any bugs in the grass, it’ll be handy on holidays too for sandy beaches when you want to dry off without sand sticking to you.
The blanket comes with pegs to secure it down in the wind, and they are needed as it will catch the wind, personally we lazily just weighted the corners with shoes and picnic stuff. We haven’t needed to was it yet but at present it seems pretty durable.
Very convenient and lightweight picnic blanke
This is a large picnic blanket that can also be used for relaxing on the beach. It is very lightweight and folds up small, into its own matching bag. It is quite thin, but comfortable enough to sit on, with enough space for a family and picnic/beach supplies. A great product, I’m very pleased with it.
Very practical
Got this to use when sunbathing in the garden. It’s very large, but a little lightweight, so needs to be anchored down. It comes with pegs, but I just used my shoes and a few stones etc.
It’s actually better for garden use than a blanket, because it doesn’t get bits of grass and twigs stuck to it that take forever to brush off.
It seems quite durable and ahould last well. Overall I would say it’s a much better choice for sunbathing than a blanket or towel.

The seller has contacted me and sent me out a replacement which I am happy with. Due to the sellers’ great customer service I have added another star to my rating. As stated in my original review, this beach mat did perform as advertised, but it wasn’t until I machine washed it that this stuff peeled from it and I am unsure if it will affect the performance. I appreciate the seller resolving the issue with me however.

I used this once and did seem to be as described, was waterproof and the pegs did keep the sheet in place. However, it is advertised as being machine washable but after the first wash it seemed to have some sort of layer peeling off which got over everything else in the wash. I’m wondering if it’s what makes it waterproof and maybe it’s now going to be affected? I’m not sure as I haven’t used it again yet. There was no way to get in contact with the seller to see if I could get a replacement at all. I hope the seller can get in touch.
No more sand in your togs!
This isn’t fluffy like a beach towel might be, but it is big and lightweight. That makes it (more?) susceptible to being caught by the breeze. It comes with little pegs – they might help, but the ol’ bag & flip-flops as anchors should do the trick – just like any towel.
Extra large, lightweight beach blanke
As per the title really: this is a very, very large, lightweight beach blanket – you could easily fit 4 adults on it. It comes with 4 plastic pegs to help hold it down but I’d need to test it on a really windy day to know how effect the pegs really are. The blanket itself is made of soft-touch fabric and the pattern is really cute. It comes in a matching bag which is attached to the blanket so you don’t lose it. Overall, when packed away, the footprint is surprisingly small and you can easily attach it to the outside of a bag for transport. The blanket is well-finished, but the bag could do with a little bit of tlc as you can see from my last photo: the finish is quite poor and costs it a star in this review alongside value for money.
Would I pay 29.99 for one (current price at time of writing)? The honest answer is no, I wouldn’t. But if you have that available in your budget and need a massive beach blanket, then this one should absolutely be a consideration.
good but a bit pricey
very big beach mat which is 220x200cm dimensions.
comes with own bag for carry and storage that is hooked to the mat.
also comes with 4 hard plastic anchors so you can fit into ground easily. they feel sturdy enough i think.
the mat is very very thin so do not expect comfort but will keep you clean from ground. so you may need some additional stuff on it if you are on rocky beach.
price wise, this is very personal but i think it’s a bit pricey.
so overall i think it’s average and i would suggest comparing with other options as well.
