Good and sturdy Walkie Talkies
They do exactly as intended with good sound, range and battery life. I would say, however, that they’re not suited to younger children who like to press random buttons, or kids with SEN issues, as the frequencies and bands can easily be changed, which would stop the sets connecting with each other until corrected. Other than that, good value.
Good value
These were my grand daughters favourite Christmas present out of everything. However at age 5 she found it a little puzzling to understand the pressing of the button when speaking and releasing to listen.
We were pleasantly surprised at the range of them. She used them outside to speak and could be heard very clearly.
Lagging a bi
They work fine but occasionally you can pick up other.people using the same frequency. Also there is a lag between when you press talk button and when the transmission starts. The talk button could be on the side to make it easier to use
Kearui Walkie Talkies are really good
I bought Kearui Walkie Talkies for my kids and they are really enjoying it, the device has good amount of functionalities like light and different wave transmissions as well as lock, yet it still easy to use by a 5 years old child.
Great kids Walkie talkie
Bought these for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas and she was really pleased. Once we figured out the controls and taught the kids they found them easy to use and love playing with them.
We’ve taken them on holiday to explore new parks and the kids love making up a hide and seek game with them in large open spaces.
The range and sound quality is good – haven’t found them an issue whilst we’ve had them. I’ve had to replace one battery so far but likely because the kids forgot to turn it off rather than performance.
These are easy to use as an adult but I would think a child might struggle to set up. There are a lot of channels to choose from (too many in my opinion) and if a child accidentally changes this whilst using it then they won’t be able to hear the other person. A younger child might not necessarily know how to change it or be able to change it to match the other, even if they have been shown. This is because there aren’t many buttons so it takes a lot of pressing on just one button to get to the right option! However, they have good sound quality and a good distance can be covered. They are much smaller than I imagined but this is probably better for children to hold. Batteries are not included and takes 4 in each one so make sure you are stocked up! Overall they are good and the children enjoy playing with them, just a few design features that could perhaps be changed! 4 stars because I know there are better, much simpler walkie talkies for children out there, at much the same price!
Great for a kids toy! Much better range than I could have hoped for when I was a child. Standing on top of a hill, it works back down to the house. Not sure exactly how far it is directly, maybe 500-600m as the crow flies – see picture for where the other one is!
Love the colours too, they’re nice and bright. Goes well with a ‘Noddy toyland detective’ play set the children have.
I’ve marked it down a bit on ease of use, as there are a few features to this (good!!) just takes a while to figure them out. There is a child lock to prevent the kids from getting into a muddle.
I like the ‘vox’ function which is good for a toddler as they don’t have to hold a button to talk, just talk into it and it goes automatically on to transmit mode. But they have to learn to wait their turn to speak.
You can also turn the vox function off so acts like a normal walkie talkie where you press a button when you want to transmit.
Would definitely recommend, and parents may get just as much fun out of it.
