A-P5 worth the extra.
Purchased the A-P5, quite expensive but worth the extra. Well made, small enough but powerful and so far so good, easily does everything from tyres to beach balls just as described. If you’re looking for a pump would recommend you check out a Lexin.
Impressed, really good at what is says it will do
What a pleasant surprise! The Lexin portable tyre inflator is an excellent product; It is easy to operate, displays all the unit functions clearly and takes the stress out of having to go to a garage to inflate your tyres
Tried others but this has been the best yet!
My wife and I each have a GS and while looking for compressors tried a few of the cheaper ones but they either failed due to the battery or overheating.
I carry a fair few tools on my bike and bought the P5 and was so impressed with it got the P4 for my wife’s bike. She mainly uses the P4 as a battery pack for charging a GoPro or mobile while touring.
Wouldn’t think twice getting anothe
Nice product with 1 problem
This is a very good product, and I would recommend it to anyone. Easy to use. The only problem with it is that the tube which connects the device to the Tyre valve is too short. If the valve of the Tyre is at the bottom, it is easy to leave the device on the floor so the tyre can be inflated. However, if the valve is at the top, you have to manually hold the device to inflate the tyre or move your car, so the ve can be at the bottom.
Impressive piece of kit.
I purchased this against the cheaper competion based on trusted motorcycle vloggers on YouTube and elsewhere. Not disappointed, the pump is an impressive piece of kit and weighs in at solid for its size. It feels quality in your hands , it looks quality and is a doddle to use. Did all 4 tyres on my car easily and quickly, stopping when reading hit my preset. Standard hose should be longer I feel as tyres never stop where you want the valves to be. I think however its an easy 5 star rating and now resides full time in my cars boot so I know where I’ve left it for car or motorbikes. Photo when chemo allows it.
A Brilliant Piece of Ki
I decided to purchase the Lexin P5 Tyre Inflator after watching someone use it on YouTube.
It arrived on Sunday so I immediately charged it which took around 2 hrs. My first impressions were that it seemed sturdy and well made.
On Monday I used it to top up all 4 tyres on my son’s car (only a couple of psi required in each), then to check the tyres on 2 other family cars. I even used it to inflate my garden wheelbarrow tyre from 12 psi to 28 psi and it took a matter of moments. The battery is still showing that it’s fully charged (green).
The pump seems quieter than I expected, and much easier to check and top up my car tyre pressures compared to my previous method of having to plug my compressor into the car, start the engine, and then trail the cable through the windows/doors.
As for accuracy, I found that the Lexin P5 reads around 2 psi more than my manual tyre gauge; I’m not sure which one is the most accurate but they are both very close to each other.
Overall I’m really pleased with my purchase and will hopefully check my car tyre pressures more regularly as it’s so easy to do so and top them up with the Lexin P5 pump – Brilliant!!!
Great performance in a small package
My main purpose is to use this on my motorbike.
However after testing it on full size car tyres I’m amazed at how good this pump is.
It took about 3 minutes to inflate a car tyre from 20 psi to 36psi. Which is great for topping up and eliminates plugging in a 12v or mains compressor.
And the P5 have plenty of guts to inflate a full size tyre from completely flat if the need ever arised.
I’m some what ‘old school’ and doubted whether a battery powered pump this small would have the guts to do the job. Well it does and does the job required easily. I’m fully converted. Overall I’m 100% pleased with the Lexin P5 and although 20 or 30 more expensive than the cheap pumps that are available, the P5 build quality is worth it. I’d recommend this pump to any one thinking of buying a battery pump.
Quick and efficient inflatio
This portable air compressor has been incredibly handy. Its fast inflation capability is impressive, saving time and effort. The smart modes and digital pressure gauge make it easy to use and accurately set the desired pressure. The built-in battery is a great feature, allowing for use in various settings without worrying about power sources. Its compact design makes it easy to carry and store. This device has proven to be a valuable tool for on-the-go inflation needs.
Must have for all cars
Rather than needing to go to the petrol station to check your tyres and wait in a queue you can just use this in a minute or two. Battery powered so no messing about with wires. Honestly a MUST
Top quality look and feel, works very well indeed
This little device is thoughtfully designed and well made. It has a quality look and feel about it from the rounded corners of the case to the clear and detailed display screen. It comes with a nicely printed user manual (in six languages).
Operation of the pump is very simple and the whole unit is supplied with a decent quality carry bag – although I doubt you will get the instruction booklet in there as well…
The pump is powerful enough to inflate an ordinary car tyre from flat – although to do so takes a certain amount of time and the device will get hot from the compression of the air..
I keep mine in the boot just in case
Three of my car tyres hold their pressure perfectly, only changing with ambient temperature, but the fourth goes down slowly over a period of weeks so really needs checking about once a month. When I came across this I thought it would be ideal.
TBH, I had no idea that these relatively tiny devices existed: who would have thought that a handheld, battery powered device could pump up a car tyre. Tldr: it can!
Physically its a handsome unit, sturdily build from quality materials and with a bright clear display. With its ‘wand’ attached it actually looks uncannily like a walkie talkie. The wand (air pipe) screws into your car tyre valve which is good as it won’t come off/leak. You turn the unit in and it displays the tyre pressure. Set your desired pressure, press on and it pumps it up. It has a small but useful LED light and a USB A socket from which you can charge your phone or whatever.
Other reviewers have demonstrated how long it takes to pump up a tyre and how long the battery lasts which gives very useful context as to what the pump is capable of doing. However, realistically you are not going to be pumping up a tyre from flat (unless maybe you have a flat and realise you haven’t pumped up your spare (note to self)). Most of the time you are probably going to be using it to check and top up your tyres a few psi (you can set it to psi or bar). For this it is brilliant. It’s quite loud in use and it put a 3 psi in my tyre in maybe a minute, maybe a bit more. Unfortunately I found that it under-reads the pressure by 1.5-2 psi. Another reviewer sound the same. You can re-set the unit to zero if it is showing a non-zero value when not connected but there is no way to actually calibrate it. Assuming that this error is constant (ie it reads 1.5 below at all pressures and this does it every time) it’s not the end of the world. My tyres should be 31 so I just set it to 29.5. When it gets to target pressure it turns off but I found that if I disconnected it and then re-tested it was about 0.5 psi down so gave it another go.
I don’t actually use my car that often (its a 20 year old 3.0l V6 Jag so best not to) so this is invaluable for checking that the dodgy tyre hasn’t gone flat and compensating for colder/hotter weather. I have to dock it 1 star for reading incorrectly out of the box. I wouldn’t really expect a calibration function as this would be difficult to implement/use, needing a number of data points, but I think that it is reasonable to expect it to start off correct. Anyway, once you have ‘self calibrated’ its a very handy tool indeed and I recommend it.
This is a cleverly designed product, it comes with attachments so should be suitable for pumping up most things: tyres, balls, bicycle tyres etc. It comes fully charged, it had several programmed settings for car, bike, bicycle and ball pumping which means you can set your desired settings for each. It also has an LED light and can be used to charge your mobile phone. It is easy to use, you can decide whether you want to show the pressure is PSI or other measurements. It all comes with an easy to use instruction manual and its own storage case. Altogether a great product, although i did find the price tag somewhat high. But it is technology at its best, and of course as a rechargeable bit of kit, it can be used away from your car etc, i suspect that it would last for a long time between charges. So a nice product really
Whilst I’ll only be using this in an emergency for my car, for my bike and ride-on mower, this cable free (yippee!) compressor is a great tool to have. It is small (meaning it’s almost as easy to store on the bike as a hand pump), build quality is excellent, it comes with all the connectors I’ll ever need and it has a great, easy to read (clear as daylight) and use screen. Not at all much to dislike and although this will never replace a mains driven compressor pump for cars, for near everything else it makes for a great buy.
