Keeps my ps portal safe and sound
Having carried my PS Portal around in my bag a few times, I decided it was time to invest in some protection. This case fits the bill perfectly. The clear cover lets the sleek design of the Portal shine through, while the tempered glass screen protector keeps the display pristine. It’s not just about looks though; the hard shell exterior gives me confidence that my Portal is safe from everyday knocks and bumps. The case is also surprisingly lightweight and compact, slipping easily into my backpack without adding bulk.
A needed addition for the Portal
The one star was deducted as, due to the style of the clip on case for the Portal itself, it was a struggle to get the charging cable in and was no longer compatible with a Portal and PS5 DualSense charging dock. As its a bit of a faff getting the plastic to unclip on and off as you need a charge, it’s just a bit of a shame as its now sat unused.
That said, if using a charging dock isn’t a concern for you and you’re happy to be a bit more patient trying to get your charging wire in, then the shell is fine and feels robust and strong.
The case itself is just that – not much to say except it is hard tough shell which is a bonus.
The two screen protectors are my favourite here – whilst I cannot currently speak for scratch resistance I got the first one to fit without issue. I’d recommend this kit just based on those!
Good quality
It comes in a nice box that looks very professional and would be well received as a gift.
Upon opening the box, the quality of the case looked and felt very good. The zip works well and is robust and can take a lot of use.
My Switch fits in the case with no issues at all and stays securely in place. The case itself has a hard shell so offers great protection should I drop it. Which no doubt I am sure I will at some point!
My favourite accessory is the games case as it allows me to have games on me when I travel, so I have everything I need in this case and it can fit in my bag and come with me.

Keeps your gear safe and sound
The quality of this accessory kit exceeded my initial expectations. From the protective carry case to the crystal-clear screen protectors, every element works in harmony to protect my equipment. The case is surprisingly sturdy without compromising the device’s accessibility, which I find invaluable for quick gaming sessions. What a good, solid case this is. It’s light enough to not be a bother, but strong enough that you’re not going to worry. It claims it’s waterproof, but I wouldn’t expect it to stand up to more than a light shower. The compartments are well-defined and a snug fit too. I don’t quite understand what the fold-out bit is for, but perhaps its use will become apparent over time.
The shell parts encase the portal nicely and aren’t obtrusive or flashy. The only downside is that when your Portal is in the shell and case, it’s not going to get a good Wifi signal. That’s not a bother for me though.
Great for on-the-go gaming
I’ve been using this carrying case and screen protector set to tote around my handheld gaming device, and let’s just say it’s been a welcome addition to my gaming setup. The case is surprisingly sturdy, keeping everything snug and organized. It makes throwing the device into a backpack or even just traveling room-to-room completely stress-free. The screen protector was a cinch to apply and I don’t have to worry about a stray scratch ruining my gameplayexperience.
Great quality case
The build quality of this PlayStation portal case is great, it has a really solid but soft cutout for the PS Portal, which fits very nicely. This isn’t removable, it’s permanently attached to the case, which means there’s no worry it’ll fall out when you open the case. There’s also space in the top of the case for accessories, such as charging cables etc.
The case is a relatively hard case, it’s fabric rather than being solid plastic, but it feels very protective. Everything inside is soft so you won’t scratch the screen on controllers.
There’s also an included screen protector and clear plastic cover. The screen protector is great, to be perfectly honest I don’t love the look of the clear plastic cover for the controller part of the device. But that’s a taste thing, the quality of the product feels fine. The device still fits in the case nicely without it though, so you don’t have to use that!

This case is specifically designed for the PS5 Portal handheld device, and it’s certainly well featured to keep your device protected whether it’s in storage or in your travel bag.
The case itself is well drsigned, it has hard plastic liner covered in fabric to protect your PS5 Portal handheld device, it has a small sleeve as well as a screen cover to help protect the screen from scratches while it’s all zipper up.
There is also some additional part, a plastic case for the body and both sides of the device. There is also a tempered glass protector which should protect the screen from any scratches.
Overall it’s nice to see everything all put together to protect your hand held device from damage and scratches.

I’m genuinely impressed. The build is sturdier than I expected, offering really good protection with a strong zip that feels like it’ll handle a good deal of use. It fits the console perfectly, with additional pockets for controllers and accessories, all secured under protective covers which, although they seem a bit flimsy, are actually quite durable. It’s lightweight too, making it easy to carry around without any hassle. The case also features a sleek design, pretty handy for both storing at home and taking on trips. Absolutely recommend for any PS5 owner looking to keep their gear safe on the move!
This was priced at 20 when I ordered it and that seems to be a fair price for this.
Worth buying.
Mayue have designed and manufactured a very good protective case for the PlayStation 5 Portal. It is superb.
There is a feature that is shown in the picture to the right of where it says “Odor free”. It’s a fold out flap, I can’t see what it’s for and it’s not described in the blurb. A couple of other small points. The first; the listing states that the case is waterproof. Being opened and closed by a zip I can’t see how it can be waterproof. It might be shower proof-at a push. I’d be a lot happier if this case had an IP rating. One of the pictures says the moulded section of the PS Portal is lined with velvet, two pictures down it says it’s lined with microfibre. I think it’s microfibres, but I shouldn’t have to guess.
The above criticisms don’t detract from this case in the slightest. It’s good, very good, if you’re wanting protection for your PS5 Portal you won’t go wrong with this Mayue version.
Really strong, well made and thought out carry case for your Playstation 5.
First thing you notice is it feels and looks sturdy and strong, to take the knocks from kids and gamesters.
Really well made strong zip all round, all stichng and finishing absolutely perfect, so should last for years.
Inside the compartments are shaped exactly to the Playstation 5 and it fits perfectly (didn’t pop photos as not sure we are allowed in reviews). Then you have plastic covers which seem a little flimsy but made of that plastic that’s hard to tear or break, 2 for the controllers and the other for the unit. This go on perfectly, giving added protection. A strap fits over the top to keep it in position.
Also included are 2 clear covers for the unit itself, giving added protection when playing, along with a couple of wipes to clean up sticky finger marks and the like.
In the top of the case is a netted area with a zip, here you can put the odds and ends, cables, charger, phone etc, its quite a large area so most of the things assocaited can be stowed at the same time.
It’s very lightweight, compact and strong, great for transporting your Playstaion and if taking aboard this case should give full protection against the rigors of baggage handling.
Nice quality case
I was surprised how sturdy this little case was, and the quality of both the case and the protective covers is very good.
The case comes with the screen protectors, fitting cloths etc, and the plastic covers for the controllers and rear, essentially cover most of the unit.
The PS portal fits nicely into the base and there’s a decent amount of storage in the lid for accessories. Although it’s technically a ‘soft case’, it’s sturdy enough that it’s not far from being a hard case, as the interior is nicely protected. Overall a really nice case and should give a good level of protection for transporting the PS.
