Small but big in preference
I have had this for about a week and so far I am pleased with it’s performance.
It’s small and it can sit on my deck without taking much space up. I use it work photographic work and it copes very well with the work so far.
On my experience to date I would recommend it.
love it !
SmaLl and neat. Quiet as a mouse.
Wish i could say the same for win 11
If I could easily go back to win 10 I would , Not every change or invovation is a step forward in Tthe software world
WIN 11 seems to be change for change sake
WOW
This small box has replaced my laptop and the speed is fantastic, I opened the box plugged it in and away it went. Logged onto WiFi without any issues logged onto Microsoft downloaded some updates this took a few minutes and I was done. The quality of the housing is good, access to the memory and additional hard drive is easy all in all a great piece of kit would recommend it to anyone.
Good photo editing PC, excellent value
Happily running the Affinity Suite software and Topaz Photo AI 3. These are quite resource hungry applications, and you should always check that specialist graphics software will work with the hardware you purchase.
Windows 11 took ages to start up first time due to the need for updates, but after that, it has been fast and while the fan noise is perceptible in a quiet room, it is not loud. Windows also installed a default “Intel UHD Graphics Family” display driver, it’s worth installing the specific driver from Intel directly (free) if you want the best performance.
The rubber feet inserts are impossible to get out !
i love this wee thing.
I’m using it as an all rounder, away from my main audio desktop, and so far it’s done everything I’ve asked it too. It’s a great spec and build, especially for the price of it.
I don’t know how it is with gaming, as I use a console.
However, I had a spare 1TB Samsung EVO 870 SSD SATA which I wanted to add to it (as they even supply the teeny wee SATA cable and screws), but I had to give up. The sponge/rubber inserts that cover the screws just won’t come out ! I’ve even tried putting a small driver through them to no avail.
it’s a bit of a let down, but as I can plug it in the back I mustn’t grumble. It’s a good wee machine.
It’s been only a few days since we got this PC but I’m positively impressed, runs on Windows 11 which I was initially very sceptical to use but I’m totally fine with it now. It’s fast and pretty silent so its perfect for work, play, or both. Its powered by a 12th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, which is very powerful CPUs. The integrated Iris Xe graphics are also good enough for basic gaming and other graphical tasks. It comes with a vesa bracket so it can be mounted at the back of the monitor or a tv, this is what I’m planning to do to save space on my son’s desk. Overall, the Minisforum UN1265 is a great mini PC. It’s powerful, it’s affordable, and it’s very compact. If you’re looking for a mini PC for work or play, the UN1265 is a great option with its 32GB Ram + half terabyte of storage. Who should buy it? – anyone who wants a powerful yet compact and affordable device for work or play.
I have been considering a mini pc for a while and finally took the plunge with the Minisforum UN1265. It looks great – you can read all the specs elswhere. I have had it up and running for about a week – initially I was concerned as upon set up the pc froze several times during initial updates needing to be restarted at the power button. One of the important reasons I bought this pc is the continual highlighting of how quiet the fan/ cooling system is. I can confirm that this is not the case – the fan can be very noisy and can vary in speed which makes it even more irritating. Strangely it seems worse at start up!!? Having ran it for a few days now the fan does seem to have settled down a bit but continues to rev up and down at start up and occasionally during tasks (that aspect I understand.) Handy and compact with performance levels good for the money but avoid if silent running is what you’re after.
