Outdoor waterproof electric box
Excellent outdoor waterproof box for around my hot tub. Large size to fit your plugs in. Lid clips are brilliant for making a tight weatherproof seal. I highly recommend this box around hot tubs and ponds.
This solved a problem
This isn’t a cheap option, but it is a good solution to the problem of only having two electrical sockets in the greenhouse and wanting four! Obviously any normal method you might use indoors cannot work outdoors, or where there is water (in this case both)
The box is sturdy and secure against water (also against spiders I’m glad to say) It is strong and robust. I suspect that it will outlive me.
I was able to put a four-way socket in here and add four separate plugs for the items I wanted to use in the greenhouse. This also freed up the second socket which was already there for my husband to plug in the lawnmower without switching off my heat mats or growing lights.
First year of having outdoor Xmas lights. Bought this as needed a way to keep my extension lead safe. Did a fantastic job. Fit a 5 plug extension with timer switches and outdoor light plugs (very bulky).
This is the 3rd outdoor box I have and is far and away the best. Mote waterproof than the others, more secure lid with clamp type fitting to hold it Snug and secure, and big enough to take a decent extension lead and outdoor type Christmas light plugs. Will be getting a couple more to replace my other boxes.
I have tried a few of these waterproof boxes to house the end of an outdoor extension lead, a timer switch and a couple of transformers for two sets of garden lights. The longest any of them lasted was about 18 months before either something broke or something leaked and puddles formed inside them. All those previous boxes were about half the price of this RESTMO box – but I think I can see why. The design here is much better and the materials used seem to be of better quality. Only time will tell but I am expecting this one to be much better and so be worth every extra penny. I will come back and update this review should that prove not to be the case but, I must admit, I am pretty confident that I won’t have to.
