Nice and easy to use smart charge
Very little you have to do other than set the size of vehicle (battery) then leave it to it. Seems to have revived the stop start battery in my 520d and saved us for now from an expensive replacement battery costing 100s.
Ease of use/value for money
The unit is just plug and play. One button to start and the leave to charge. Does not always get to full charge but 14v from older battery is good. Would recommend.
Great battery charge
This is a good little smart battery charger. It shows the state of the battery while charging and I’ve had no issues charging up some large battery’s so far. It is good for 12 and 24 volt battery’s so perfect for keeping leisure battery’s topped up.
Overall I can recommend if you are after some battery’s like it.

Something that will always be useful.
The item comes well packed in a sturdy box containing the charger, instructions, two sets of charging leads that connect to the charger via a robust plug.
The charger itself is a thoughtful design with a hook that folds away for you to hang the unit up while using. The one button operation is clearly described in the instructions that come with the unit allowing you to select the right staged “program” for the battery you are charging. When in operation the charger runs through a sequenced smart charge finally settling to a trickle. This will be particular useful when charging Lithium batteries that require a smart system.
My 26 yr old thrashes batteries to death over the winter months, too many things on and not many miles driven so this item is great to have for the inevitable non-start.
I very much like the very heavy plastic housing this comes in, gives me confidence, the clips have plenty of spring to them I would like to have seen a bit more meat on the metal parts of those though but that small point aside this is a robust, simple to use, well documented and flexible (many battery types) charger.

Ring automotive smart car battery charger works a treat. This is a lovely compact battery charger, I was surprised as its for a larger vehicle our old one was huge, but this is nicely compact and does a fantastic job, the display is lovely and clear and takes away any stress. It has charged the battery well, and just been left on a trickle charge for the moment, it was so nice to be able to plug it In and leave it to do what it needed and just be able to look at the display to understand what was happening.
Excellent all round battery charge
I have an old trickle charger that I have had for about 20-years. However, considering all the advances in battery technology this seems a bit too basic now. We have a 3.0 litre car and a smaller hybrid car, both with very different batteries and battery maintenance requirements. The hybrid in particular has been the most problematic one, battery wise. This battery maintainer will hopefully not only cover our existing needs but also those in the foreseeable future.
It is pretty easy to operate, and it is nice to leave all the clever stuff for it to do automatically. It comes with 2 battery connection types, supplied as 2 separate plug-in leads. I am very pleased with the item itself. I just need to find a suitable box or bag to keep it in. The box it came in is less than ideal to keep it in long term. This is the only reason why I have deducted a star.
Easy to use. Simple, one button operatio
I’m quite impressed with this car battery charger. The single one button operation makes it simple to use and the design is compact, light weight and allows operation either in or out of the engine bay.
I tested this on an old battery that I have in the shed. It quickly detected the type and started charging.
The display is nice and bright, plus simple to understand. The battery indicator on the right shows you when / how full it is, plus the charging voltage is displayed.
This can be used with 12v or 24v batteries. It’ll charge using a pattern to begin with, then goes into trickle charge mode once the battery is full.
I tend to lay a charger down on top of the ngine when charging on the drive. You can, however, flick out the hanging hook and hang it from the bonnet lock or other area if charging in the car I a garage or secure area.
This looks like it should have a small amunt of water resistance, in case it starts raining.
Overall, for an 8 amp charger this is good value and should be fairly long lasting.
Definitely a recommended battery charger.
