Super value and robus
I bought this , in green , for my grandson , aged 9. He has been using it for one and a half years of rough and tumble and has absolutely loved it!
It finally died today ,, but I am ordering another one for him ,, red this time. He can’t wait !
Great value and functions !
Amazing value for money
Lots of functions and, given price is amazing value for money. I don’t think the “blood pressure” monitor is useful – it’s not accurate.
The watch looks good and a coiuple of people though it was a Sam***g or Ap**e.
There was a problem with the docking station after 3 months but the suppliers, ZST-UK, resolved it to my satisfaction.
The materials are good quality and visually pleasing watch as well as having all the functions you expect from a smart watch so great value!! The only thing is the smart watch’s app doesn’t accurately sync with Apple health but it does take all the readings on its on app ‘Glory fit’. Very satisfied with product and a comfy fit too!
Great smart watch
Brought for my teenage daughter. She loves it and wears it daily. Perfect for school and everyday. Holds the charge well needs recharging every 10 days or so. Easy to read and easy to set up. Would recommend.
Great decent priced smart watch
eally good for a basic smart watch.just use it to count my steps as well as for the time.connectivity is good.instructions give a barcode to scan to app for use on phone.easy to navigate and I love the customisable watch face.
A nice bit of fun but bad allergic reactio
I needed a new stopwatch for my runs and as this watch was about as cheap as any of the wearable stopwatches I thought I may as well go for it. I really don’t know how accurate the health measures (pulse, heart rate) are but the sleep measure seems to overestimate the time I’m actually asleep. I used it for a parkrun and it gave a distance measure of 4.86km so not that far out and understandable given that I tend to shuffle at speed rather than run. The only problem is it’s given me a red rash on my wrist, both from the back of the watch and the wrist strap. So I’m now only really using it as the stopwatch I wanted in the first place, but it’s a bit of fun and amazing the technology they can squeeze into a watch now.
I bought this watch because I needed something that would track steps and walk distance. For the price I really didn’t expect much, and after reading some of the reviews I wasn’t holding out much hope and contemplated cancelling the order. Upon arrival I unpacked the watch and put it to charge, and left it to fully charge before doing anything with it. Set up of the watch is super easy, the Ap is good. Lovely selection of clock faces, including an option to add your own photo which I like as this isn’t a free feature on Fitbit. The heartbeat monitor is relatively accurate, I doubt it is all the time but my husband and I have both measured it along side the watch and it seems fairly accurate for the most part. I also did a 6km walk, although the app did not track the route like it does on Apple Watches, it did track the distance, the time it took, my heart rate, steps and calories burned. It has some nice features, it’s a basic version of expensive watches and for the price I have no complaints complaints about its function of a ‘smart’ watch. It also tracks sleep, which I think it’s quite accurate, has the weather, many sport tracking options, blood pressure, blood oxygen, alarm and messages from Facebook, WhatsApp etc and a stopwatch!
My watch arrived last Friday , it’s now Tuesday and the battery is on 39% , I’ll likely get the use out of it tomorrow before having to charge again – 5 days continuous use is way better than I expected. My only complaint is that the screen just doesn’t stay on long enough, which is quite annoying. The longest option to keep it on for is 15 seconds which is a bit of a let down but that is my only true complaint at this point in time. I guess we shall see if it stands the test of time – I’m not holding hope for longevity but I am surprised by the watch so far so who knows!
I’ve had this watch around a month.
Pros:
– Good value for money
– Looks similar to more expensive brands when the face isn’t lit
– The general quality is good.
– The strap colour options are great.
– it counts my steps well.
Inbetween:
– it can be hard to work as there are limited instructions around the functionality/features
– It has quite basic functions (suits me as I only wanted these)
– I chose not to link mine to my phone so haven’t tried the messages/phone options.
Cons:
– It doesn’t seem to recognise swimming laps/lengths
– It measures in km
– I don’t know if it works better with certain strokes as I’ve yet to swim in a lane session but it kept telling me I’d only done a few minutes swimming despite me doing several lengths of a 25m pool. I did 40 laps in half an hour and it said I’d swum for 8 mins and not much at all in that time.
– I wish the strap wasn’t plastic
I got this on sale for 19.99 so apart from the swimming issue I think it’s great for the price.
Value for money
For the price I think it is good value for money, the screen is nice, the step, heart rate and sleep monitors seem pretty accurate, I don’t really monitor my blood pressure or oxygen rate so can’t comment on those. Sometimes the activity reminder tells you that you have been sitting too long if you get up just before it goes off and the sleep monitor Sometimes records you as being in a ligh sleep if you lie in bed awake or are sitting on a train relaxing. The instructions were tiny, I just about managed to read them to set up so if you have bad eyesight or are buying it for someone else who does you might need help setting up. The battery lasts at least a week. You can only pick 4 sports at a time to have on your watch and there’s only 24 sports in total to pick from so you might not be able to record all of your activities
I’m recovering from a brain injury, I’ve just started walking again & have been using an app on my phone to track steps/distance etc but I’m not a teenager so I don’t carry it around with me everywhere, plus the step count wasn’t very accurate, so I thought I’d give this watch a try. I’ve had it for several days and so far I’m delighted with it.
In terms of accuracy, for me, the step counter is very good, the o2 measurement is spot on (compared to a medical device) as was the pulse, the blood pressure monitor reads 2% too high/5% too low sys/dia but it’s consistently so when measured against an A&D Medical machine, I can live with a little mental maths for the absolute convenience. The app you have to download on your phone to get the most out of the watch records each time your BP is taken and monitors/records your pulse rate. It also provides info about your sleep patterns. I think it should go without saying that the watch function is perfectly accurate.
The watch came loaded with 5 or 6 fairly jazzy faces to choose from, none of which I was particularly keen on, but there are about a hundred different ones available to download on the app. I’m running android, it took a few minutes to sync/transmit a watch face to the phone. Rather bizarrely the app kept crashing when I tried downloading new watch faces whilst the phone was charging but was fine if it wasn’t on charge, probably to do with my ancient phone.
Setting the watch up from new was easy and quick. It came 75% charged and took about 10 minutes to fully charge on the neat magnetic ‘thimble’. You can QR code the app from the instruction leaflet or just go on whatever app store you use to get Glory Fit. If you are running Android then it’s apparently important to let the app pair to your device rather than doing it with your phone first. The instruction leaflet is in a tiny font, I found it far easier to download the pdf version, a link for which should be on this page somewhere.
It won’t do a lot of the things that vastly more expensive even smarter wearable devices will do, but for me it represents excellent value for something which is almost exactly fit for purpose.
Arrived on time, well packaged and presentable. As a few other have noted, this is a surprisingly well made, expensive looking smartwatch. While the featureset is limited (what do you expect for 20.00?!) it has a decent amount of functions.
I’m not too sure how accurate the readings are as I do not have a medical grade BP cuff, or other devices with certified readings, they seem to be reasonably close. I recently had a medical exam and the doctor’s measurement of my BP was within 2 of that.
A good amount of watch faces to choose from. Some are hard to read, some a bit naff, but others are nicely laid out with the amount of information I’m looking for. No idea how long the battery lasts for, I’ll update this once I need to charge it again. The watch snaps to the charger with a satisfying click.
If you are looking for a watch to make/receive calls, send texts, video, etc. then look elsewhere. And be prepared to pay 10x the price.
The Display is nice and crisp, the screen is responsive when switching between screen. The turn arm to activate can sometimes not work, but does 9 times out of 10.
So far I have notice 2 things that make me not 100% happy. The first thing that I didn’t like about it was that the screen is not vertically centred. The bottom is roughly twice as far from the edge as the top. But that’s just my OCD kicking in.
The second being the screen does not fill the whole face. Stick to a face with a black background and you probably wont notice.
All in all, this definitely will not be a wasted 20 if you are looking for a new watch.
