Uses a Sony image sensor. I’m impressed with the video quality and the added slo-mo and time lapse modes. The included microphone is quite impressive, I video from a canal boat so the directional mike does away with 90% of the engine noise when pointed forward when sailing and the wind muffler is pretty good in a gentle breeze. Overall I’d say good value for money
