What sorcery is this?
i could not imagine this level of sound quality and noise cancelation was possible in earphones. Once you downlooad the latest firmware (4.xx.x.) the best multipoint (connecting seamlessly at the same time multiple devices) functionality becomes also available.
BOSE thank you for ruining all other brands for me…Now I will have to pay your premium for ever (but worth it).
wow just grea
some of the best earbuds i have aver listened too – these have got to be the best anc software out there – they are soo comfortable too – app ok but once you hear these you will be hooked. solid brand solid device very happy highly recommend
Great fit and sound quality
I love these earphones.
They work with Android, mac, iPhone and Windows. Not being tied into an ecosystem to use ANC is a major bonus and something more people should consider instead of buying airpods and not being able to use ANC with non-apple devices.
Highly recommend.
decent but previous were bette
I like the sound and features. Noise cancellation is almost a downgrade. The nose app is awful. Either crashes or resets regularly. Connectivity of the head set is ok. Probably its real plus being more reliable than previous.
Top quality ANC, solid product all around
Fantastic ANC, i’ve used Airpod pros, and Sennheiser Momentum 3 over ears, and these are the best i’ve used. ‘Aware’ mode is really nice and natural sounding too, the others felt like it amplified outside sounds. Audio quality is good, and the app’s EQ can help tweak to your liking. Comfortable to wear, and seem to stay in fairly well when exercising (running might be different.)
Only very minor negative I can think of is the touch controls, the area and sensitivity make it easy to accidentally pause when touching them, and there’s no real feedback like a click or beep when a control activates.
Exceptional for Music - Terrible for Calls
Truly fantastic sound quality and ANC is the best I’ve experienced with an in-ear.
Unfortunately taking calls outside is near impossible, the mic doesn’t pick up the person speaking very well at all and routinely drags in external noise making the call function on these earbuds near redundant.
Best noise cancelling but h/w design quality has slipped. Buggy s/w but theyre fixing it.
I had bose in ear headphone for years and they were amazing. Beat airpods in airplane propellor/ screaming kids test on a plane. mine snapped so though Id buy Boses again and latest but many issues.
PRO
– best noise reduction.
CONS
– buggy s/w but frequent updates seem to be fixing them
– audio can pop
– didnt always auto connect to last source. I think this is fixed.
– I can see the battery percentage for each headset but not the case!!!!
Hardware
– the lid is flimsy and I could see it snapping easily. I bought cover for it
– hard to see position of headphone when you put them in case both all black.
– the tap on ear is over sensitive. When im in tiktok it triggers music app constantly if I even touch the right earpiece. S/w needs way to disable it. Or at least start stop the tiktok NOT the music app.
Fantastic noise cancelling.
Bought these for travel to cancel out noise in planes etc. Have used Beats for years in various models but decided to go for Bose this time as reviews were good and they were on sale.
The noise cancelling is fantastic and the different modes are easy to switch between. Difference between aware and max noise cancelling is unreal.
Sound quality is excellent, these headphones aren’t the loudest I’ve ever had but the clarity and depth at low volumes is fantastic. The noise cancelling means you don’t need it to go so loud, which is probably why they don’t.
Loses a star because you can’t switch between devices if you don’t have an internet connection. Discovered that whilst on a flight and wanted to change from my iPhone to iPad to watch some shows I’d downloaded.
Overall I would highly recommend – especially at the sale price.
I’m a huge Bose fan and was looking forward to upgrading my Ipod pro plus buds with these bad boys.
I’ve had Bose in ear noise cancelling headphones, wired ones, in the past. And thought these would be just an upgrade from that.
Pros –
The sound is brilliant and the noise cancelling, even in a noisy coffee shop, outstanding. Massive improvement on anything else.
Cons –
They can fall out of one’s ears easily.
They are much less comfotable than previous Bose in-ear headphones. And can actually be quite painful to wear.
They can lose connection to iphone very easily and for no apparent reason. (Which then takes ages of fiddling in and out of case, in and out of ears, re-pairing etc.)
I still much prefer them over Ipod pro plus set, but like an old school report card, Bose, “could do better”.
Mostly great earbuds!
Sound Quality – Excellent, especially immersive! Bass is also great quality
App – Great when it works. Sometimes causes connection issues so once you start your session, best to close the app.
Fit – Slightly annoying! Tested all combinations and found one that will work for now. Fit is great for everything except running where you get the occasional ‘thud’ and have to adjust. If returned – this would be the only reason. Cheaper earphones (Jaybird, Jabra) give better fit but sound quality nowhere near as good.
Buttons – Great when you get used to them.
Price – OK on the 250 deal. Wouldnt pay 300.
I’ve had a long line of Bose earphones/headphones and never had a problem. I was reading reviews (I always go to the bad reviews first) and really couldn’t relate to the experiences.
I’ve had every model of wireless Bose earbuds and think that they’ve got better and better. If you’re not bothered about the immersive listening – then look for a pair of last year’s QCII model, because I think that is the only difference.
The fitting is a bit of a challenge initially, there is a bit of trial and error in getting both bits of silicon to fit just right. But it is worth persevering because that’s where you’ll get the optimum comfort and noise cancellation – once this is done you are set for good. The key reason I have persisted with Bose is largely comfort – I think that the silicon tips in all Bose earphones sets them apart before we even get to sound.
Pairing with an iPhone and the app is pretty straight forward – although sometimes you are paired – you can see it on your phone’s Bluetooth connections and you can hear fine, but the app doesn’t think you’re connected. But it seems to sort itself out.
The sound I think is as good as any buds I’ve tried, I also own Airpod Pros and Sony’s media darling WF 1000XM4. Both quite similar in sound – but not as comfortable – especially for long spells of use – and especially the Sonys which I find quite heavy. I’ve not suffered from any white noise or interference on sound. Through the app you can tweak the EQ to your taste – I’ve found that it is really not worth the bother.
On to the Immersive Audio – this is the big change from the previous model. It’s far from necessary but when it works well – it is very effective. I’ve largely been using Apple lossless and the results vary a bit. More recent releases like say Billie Eilish sound fantastic – genuinely immersive. On rock, where it works well you get a clarity and separation that unveils hitherto unheard details. Overall I like it and think it’s a decent – if not entirely essential – enhancement. I do listen to most music with Immersion on – so I guess that says something.
The only real niggle I have is the lack of wireless charging. Which you can have for 50 in the form of a silicon case on top of the supplied case.
Overall these remain the buds to beat for me.
I use headphones everyday for several hours. Work and travel and meetings. I have had several different brands. For the price point and customer service you can’t get better than anker soundcore A40. They are good and I still have mine as a second pair but honestly the difference in NC between those and the Bose is infinite. They are equivalent to my Sony over ear NC ones which are also superb but bulky. I got the Bose ones on discount and they are really worth the money. If you read other reviews they say the app isn’t very good ( which is true) and the BT frustrating drops occasionally ( also true). But for me this is minor compared to the near silence I get from outside noise when I wear them. The sound as expected is supreme. I had wanted to try the Sony wf1000xm5 which u can pair 2 things at once. Have not had problems with battery life and still exploring various modes. But well recommended. Oh and they are also Which magazine recommended ( as are the sony)
Good sound, not great for anyone who sweats!
The sound of these buds is very good and I love the different modes you can have them in. Aware is great for when running as you can hear the music really well but can also hear everything around you. The noise cancellation is great even if you don’t have anything playing!
The buds have fallen out a few times once I have worked up a sweat, however going to try changing to the larger inserts and see if that makes a difference. Other than that they are very comfortable.
Had a bit of a wobble with the buds charging to start (have had lots of historical issues with Bose devices not charging so was starting to panic) but all seems good now. Would def recommend.
I recently got my hands on the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds, and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations. Let’s dive into what makes them exceptional.
First and foremost, the sound quality is simply outstanding. Whether I’m listening to music, podcasts, or taking calls, the audio is crisp, clear, and immersive. The Spatial Audio feature adds a whole new dimension to my listening experience, making the sound feel more real and placing it directly in front of me.
Comfort is another area where these earbuds shine. With other headphones it has taken my ears a while to get used to having them in for long periods of times, I have had no issues what so ever for having these in all day at work.
Now, onto the occasional cutouts. While these earbuds offer exceptional sound quality and comfort, I did experience occasional cutouts during use. However, this hasn’t been a deal-breaker for me, as the overall experience they provide more than makes up for it. Once they disconnect usually a simple tap and they are reconnected.
One of the features I love is the ease of use. Setting up shortcuts to easily navigate through the different modes — Aware, Quiet, and Immersion — has made switching between them effortless. Whether I need to hear my surroundings or immerse myself in music,.
In terms of battery life, these earbuds offer up to 6 hours of listening time, with an additional 2 hours with just a 20-minute charge. So far I believe this to be accurate and I havent had to charge the case at all.
Overall, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds deliver exceptional sound quality, great comfort, and easy usability. Despite occasional cutouts, their immersive listening experience and customizable fit make them a top choice for anyone looking for premium wireless earbuds.
For those experiencing dropouts…
This is my third (!) pair of Bose QC earbuds. The first being the qc2 which developed a fault and were replaced by Bose without quibble. So big plus points for that. The replacement pair were these which I love but I lost them in the park!! I looked away as I pressed the buy now button.
Like quite a few others here I have experienced a particular problem with these in that they go out of sync with each other-there occasionally is a delay on one side which is quite disconcerting and not great. However. I deleted the Bose app from my iPhone and this seems to have improved things somewhat. They are seen in the phone’s Bluetooth settings and there is no need for the app, which, let’s be honest Bose, is pretty clunky.
So my recommendation, certainly to iPhone users is don’t use that crappy app! You don’t need it and I have a suspicion it messes up the connection.
Would be great to know if this improved things for others.
As far as the actual sound-well, I love them. I had the Sony wf xm4 before the Bose and, while the connection was better I just can’t get on with having the buds pushed right into my ear canal, which you have to do to get a decent sound. I have quite a narrow ear canal and always struggled to get the Sonys in. These Bose ones are so much more comfortable and the sound, wow. Absolutely brilliant.
