Professional for a cheap price!
I work as a professional videographer and this is my first personal drone. This surprised me, I didn’t think I would be but the image quality is remarkable for something so small and relatively well priced! This is a great purchase for any videographer!
Perfect little drone
I was researching entry level drones for a while and this one was ultimately the one I went for. I have been more than happy with it. The battery life is decent and the photo quality is excellent. It feels solid and is easy to control even for a beginner.
Amazing product for the price
I’ve never flown a drone before, or even seen one in action live in the flesh. This is a bargain for the price, flies a charm and gets some great footage. It might not have all the capabilities of the elite drones but it’s an amazing starting point, and it’s tiny so could literally go anywhere with you. I
a long tried and tested model
he only thing i have noticed with the newer version is that the controller is lighter.i guess that’s because of the batteries being lighter and being of less power , so the controller doesn’t last as long as the older models.but you can use your old controller no bother ty
Vey Good
Great drone had mine for 1 month now, just be aware battery life will be only around 20 minutes or less. Also be aware of these limitations; You will need a phone or tablet with mobile connection to activate flight. Flying height does not follow the contours of the land – if you launch at 50metres it will not climb a hill, it remains at that height. There is no Waypoint feature. The Quickshots feature only works if you have a SD card inserted into the drone. Despite those limitations it is a superb drone ideal for beginners
If you are using this sub 250g drone for recreational purposes only in the UK you do NOT require a licence, only a CAA operator ID which costs 11.53
Fiddly to setup
The drone is a lot of fun, even if this is just a Mini 2 with a better camera. My only real complaint is how fiddly it is to attach my phone to the controller. I must be careful how I attach the phone or the bracket presses on the power or volume controls.
Once you have it set up though, it is excellent. Collision avoidance in some form would have been good, and the connection to the app works well, even at some distance.
Easy starter drone
Flew straight out the box, very stable,easy to use and gets some great shots with the quick shots. Steady flying did get 30mins, but sport mode eats the battery but still got about 18mins. The gimble keeps the video performance perfect with no fuzz or juddering. It’s so small you can just pop it in your pocket and off you go. Love i
Simply excelle
Having owned a smaller cheaper drone I wanted to find one that flys when there is more than a light breeze. I’m simply blown away by this. It flys in a very stiff costal wind, it goes crazy far/high/fast and takes amazing footage or pictures. The bundle gives you loads of flight time and is great for getting to know the drone.
If you’re a Xbox gamer consider using stick mode 3 as it’s more intuitive.
The only features this lacks over the Pro models is obstacle avoidance, active track and waypoints. But it’s packed with smart shots, gps and safety features.

Not a toy
Great bit of kit. Follow the tutorials and it’s a breeze to fly. Get a CAA license to keep yourself right, plus the online course educates you further on the rules. if you live in an area with a lot of no fly zones the app will stop you from flying into dead zones. Overall great for simple cine video shots and pictures. Be aware there’s no collision avoidance so you need to be aware of your surroundings, although not a toy with the proper guidance I would put this a teenage level or beginner level. An extra battery is a must. There’s an audible warning at 20% which is 25 mins flying time .
Excellent value for money
Excellent value for money, picked up in the Prime sale with a heavy discount. Very good quality drone for the price point, even at full price I would be happy with the purchase. I’m mainly into FPV but thought I’d dip my toes into some DJI for some chill time and I’m happy that I did. Both the photo and video quality is excellent, it flys like a dream so easy to fly that even my Grandma could fly this. Would definitely recommend, especially if it’s on offer.
Best Budget Starter Drone Ever!
I have a starter drone already but accidentally found the DJI Mini 4K offer during Prime Day special and I just couldn’t resist.
I took it out last week with my other drone and boy what a difference between the two. The DJI just blow my other budget drone out of the water! The DJi has less features but the flight experience is just outstanding and the smoothness of the controls is unbelievable. The video quality (see attached, a bit cloudy but good quality 4k/30fps) and with a 3-axis gimbal is amazing.
If you can afford it, get the combo pack with the 3 batteries and charger and a bag!
If you want a really outstanding budget drone to get you started, this is the one.
Just bear in mind it has no obstacle avoidance feature so be careful!
I heard so many good things about DJI drones and you know, it’s true!
Complete beginner this drone is superb. For the price there is very little on the market that comes close to its video capture quality. Plenty of YouTube videos to explain how easy it is to fly. Have now had 3 sessions with it and this drone is a pure pleasure to use. Its stability in winds up to 20 mph is something to behold.
Purchased the complete kit with case 3 batteries and many other extras. This easily gives you an hour flying time. Works great with my 3 year old iPhone. You need to register with the CAA to get a licence for the drone that has to be attached to it. Because of its light weight you can fly it in any unrestricted area. The CGI app will advise you on restrictive flying area especially airports or prisons. Have fun with this.
Great Drone, especially for the money
Really great drone, easy to fly, easy to change propellers and the camera quality is pretty good in daylight (not great in night light but that’s to be expected at the sub-300 price). Overall a great buy (would recommend getting the fly more kit as you do need all the stuff it comes with)
Excellent drone I must say and have had a blast flying this around I will note that there is additional stuff you must do before being able to fly it such as getting an drone operator ID for the UK and if you go travelling you’ll need a one for the country you go to but that is easy enough todo.
Flies smoothly for beginners and is a breeze to use of course over time with confidence you’ll only get better but this has not disappointed me at all for a starting point, Videos come out nicely in 2.7K although shot at 30fps I still cannot fault the quality at all, same with images they come out looking incredible, for my first initial flight of a full battery I did have near enough the 31 minute flight time coming in at around 29 minutes in total which I’m more than happy with as with the fly more combo it just adds that near to the point of being out for an hour and a half which is a win win.
I would recommend this to anybody wanting a drone you’ll not be disappointed but do be cautious of areas in which you fly along with the need for operator ID numbers.
Absolutely amazing drone
After shopping around many drones I decided to buy this little beast the video quality is 4k and looks amazing the batteries included give you a flight time of around 93 minutes if using all 3 setup was simple and easily connected to my iPhone all in all this is a super fun small drone that again is super easy to use
Absolutely a breeze to fly, easy to master controller, really good app making it effortless, almost flies it’s self, once registered with operator and flyer id’s, off you go, I take it everywhere, bought extra batteries and in car charger, I live in wales with loads of mountains, I get to see lots of places i’d never had got to, lakes, woodlands the great outdoors, should have bought one years ago, so very impressed with the quality of this little drone, little in size not on performance well worth the price, you won’t be disappointed 10 out 10 i get about 25 mins flight times per battery i have six so never an issue would definitely recommend to others
A technical marvel
This is quite a remarkable device. In a small form-factor it crams an amazing number of features. Also, as it is below 250 grams there are very much fewer flying restrictions than for heavier drones.
One ‘expert’ maintains that it is almost impossible to lose this drone as, if contact is lost for any reason, it will automatically return-to-home (where it took off).
It is very definitely not a toy and must be flown responsibly. It is required to be flown by someone who has an Operator ID and that is obtained online from the CAA for a small fee together with the Drone Flying Code. Unfortunately there are people who buy these drones and do not abide by the code and this gives legitimate flyers a bad name. Consequently some members of the public can be a little ‘negative’ when they see people flying them.
The camera is very good for 12 megapixels and has a significant range of adjustments.
If you’re looking for a relatively ‘cheap’ drone, this one is hard to beat.
Great first drone
Knowing better than anybody I bought a drone off T. MU. This was total rubbish it was uncontrollable . Sent this back and took the plunge on this DJI drone. Wow what a difference, easy software package, simple drone well made and great 4K picture quality. When I first took of I was amazed it just lifted and hovered perfectly still. The controls are easy and give great confidence this drone will perform as expected. Only flown off from my garden which luckily has countryside next to it so I’m getting more confident each time I fly it. Don’t buy another other this is the GOAT of beginner drones.
Amazing piece of technology
I’m blown away by the capabilities and quality of this tiny drone, I’m really looking forward to taking it on our holidays to capture some spectacular scenery.
It’s so easy to fly and retrieve, but very easy to lose sight of it so the return to home is invaluable, but be careful of operating from a small area as the error in position can be a few meters.
The image quality is very good, focus a little soft occasionally but that may be my fault as I’m still getting to grips with the settings.
It’s only let down by the time taken to recharge the battery, my phone can charge in a fraction of the time, and the price should include a suitable charger and cable, even if it increases the price by 5-10.
The software seems a little buggy as it keeps freezing when downloading a “trimmed video” and sometimes stops with an error doing a “full download” but this can be overcome using the cable that connects the controller to the mobile phone to connect the drone to a mobile phone and directly download the video.
I like that photos are stored directly to the mobile phone and don’t need downloading.
My first flight was on a very windy day and the little drone flew beautifully, it told me it was too windy to perform a RTH landing and suggested I reduce height manually which worked fine and it landed very close to the take off point.
All in all fantastic value for money, and much more than a toy. Only really let down by battery recharging, I’ll probably buy a second battery for holidays.
This is a real premium product! After buying a cheap drone for my daughter to learn with that might as well have been a paper aeroplane, I splashed out on this. What an amazing bit of kit. So easy to control, so stable in flight and the camera is absolutely out of this world at this price point. Got the fly extra kit, so came with additional batteries and a really smart bag to carry it all in.
If this is your first foray into flying drones, or learning to fly – buy this. Don’t look at anything else just buy it! Activate the DJI care when you get it set up and you’re covered for crashes and flyaways at a very reasonable price.
I’m an experienced drone pilot, and my daughter had absolute confidence in this within 10 minutes of putting the bird in the air. She absolutely loves it, and so do I! Well done DJI it’s yet another extremely high quality product!
I searched a long time on budget drones finding most were toys with cameras, I thought id make the jump and purchase the cheapest DJI drone being the DJI Mini 2 se and I love it. its small, very capable in quite strong winds but is not waterproof. The drone is self stabilising and will just hover compared to toys that either want to go up or down, the gimble camera keeps the footage smooth and yes you can get the footage off the drone via the DJI app just takes a little playing with it. The picture quality is very good, a professional photographer may say different but as a casual instagramer and footage for friends and family this is absolutely perfect. There is a height cap of 120m from where you left off and dont let the battery drop below 20% it will stop the camera and then run a return to home procedure which heightens the blood flow. You are recommended to obtain a licence, the App is great showing the no fly zones, there is a forum on the app for advice and guidance and in your location the app shows where people previously flew which gives great support and confidence.
Overall it was a great purchase for my recent holiday touring the UK getting pictures and video footage of angles and locations that i would not have seen by foot.
Battery is quite good i feel the 25 or so minutes is for just hovering i get around 12-15 when flying around capturing footage (working the drone hard)
