Some reviews stated that it took them 15-20 minutes to assemble this even with reading the instructions it took me less than 5 minutes to assemble it without reading the instructions

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAssembly is quick and easy. Literally takes a minute or two and doesn’t require any tools – everything is held together by sturdy built-in clips. Does the job perfectly fine for the length of hose I need although I’m not so sure if it would be good for 45m as advertised, for anyone who might need it for that sort of length.

    Works well, I’m happy.

I am looking for a hose reel for my gardening hose which is used to handwash my car. The reel is lightweight, exactly what I have in mind. I am very pleased. Not cheap but I am sure it will last for at least 10 years… I hope?

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersVery easy to assemble following the instructions. Some force does need to be used to push fit the parts but it’s not too onerous. The winding handle can actually be fitted on either side though the instructions don’t show or mention this. The hose connections are much less fiddly than the Hozelock reel I had previously. A few reviews call into question the 45m capacity and I echo this. I have a 25m half inch Mcgregor hose from Argos and this comes up to the edge of the side plates. I seriously doubt it would take 45m without the excess spilling over the edges. Hence I have docked it one star as I dont think the description is fully accurate. Now all that said it is perfect for 25m, possibly even 30m.

Ive just ordered the brackets so that I can wall mount it.

All in all I’m happy with my purchase but cannot yet comment on durability as it’s early days with the product.

Edited to add, Ive bought and fitted the wall amounting kit for this. Opted to fit it differently in the reel rests fully on the patio and its secured to the wall by leaning it back and securing the top handle. Its quite weighty when full of water and I didnt want it to work free. This way its still held securely against the wall and cant move as I pull the hose out. If I want to move it the wall mounted clips easily ‘unclip’

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value item.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have a hozelock cart and about 25 meteres hose with that in my back garden. Unfortunately I dont have any tap in the back garden but I have one in the front garden. So, I have a long (about 15 m) feeder hose front to back which works for me. However, handling of the feeder hose was a bit of a faff pulling to front and then pulling it back to back garden and storing it over hoselock cart. This arrangement was more time consuming and sorting out the tangles.

I wanted something that was not very expensive and not too big either. This fit the bill. Now I use this one for feeder and then I have attched the two hoses using standard connectors and 2-3 m hose. Just a couple of things: 1. Its lightweight and can topple over when you pull the hose away ( I put a brick on one of the legs then its fine) and 2. While assembling it can be hard to insert the pieces into the slot fully until they click. (I used a rubber mallet to hammer those in and it was easy and not damaging the plastic.). All in all good for what I needed it for.
