Dancing With Myself
We have had a set of Fisher-Price toys similar to this ‘Link Squad – Fox’ but in that case had more than one character. We just have Fox who is one of the smaller characters in the group. The USP of these toys is that they intelligently talk to one another and interact, so you can have a full jam session going on. They even bring the other toys to life.
In this case, Fox is solo and suffers a little for this. However, it is still a wonderfully well made toy and entertained a small child. The toy sings and dances a little, it has a clear voice and is made with the high quality you would expect from the brand. I would advice getting at least one other toy in the collection to get the full fun, but if you only get one, Fox can still entertain.

This chameleon is so cute. My niece loves when it lights up and plays songs. Great toy for a child beginning to crawl. She has so much fun watching it run across the room as it lights up and sings. Great toy and very age appropriate. This has been dropped and drooled on countless times and it still works great.

The Fisher-Price Baby Learning Toy Link Squad A to Z Yak is a delightful and engaging toy for my 9-month-old! This interactive yak is packed with over 115 songs, sounds, and phrases that introduce letters, the alphabet, and first words in a fun and engaging way. The DJ table buttons and turntable add a playful twist, and my little one loves pressing them to activate the music and lights. The light-up microphone that syncs to the beat is a fantastic touch. Recording a message and hearing the DJ Yak mix it into a song is a hit in our house! This toy also helps strengthen dexterity and introduces cause and effect. Highly recommended for early learning fun!
Ok standalone but better value if linked with other toys in the range
As all Fisher-Price toys this one is well made and of good quality. It has quite a few fun activities for your little one (numbers,counting, shapes and colours), sound quality is good and the little Panda design is very cute and engaging. We found though a bit limited and that this toy gives better value if linked to other toys in the Link Squad range, which can get quite costly. Overall it’s a nice toy, good quality and entertaining enough for 9m+.
So much musical fun!
I ordered this for my nephew’s first birthday and he loved it! The product itself is made from a sturdy plastic with bright colours and lights which are enticing to the young eye. It is very interactive and has many different functions to keep children entertained. I have two older children (aged 5 and 7) and even they loved having a play with this! A favourite feature was being able to record their voice and hearing it played back with music. It’s just a shame it doesn’t remember the recording, so it’s lost after playback (we were hoping to record a message). It features over 100 songs which can keep them entertained for ages. However there is no volume control so expect this to be noisy!
The educational features are also excellent, this product helps children to learn their first letters and sounds in a fun exciting way. It’s so bright, colourful and interactive. My nephew took to it straight away and was giggling along to the music. It’s definitely an educational toy and kids will love the lights and interactive elements. It also feels very well made and will hold up well against some tumbles. My only sticking point is the price. At 29.99 (at time of review) it is a little expensive despite the fantastic quality I would expect from Fisher Price. It does mention it links to other devices from the same range so perhaps the price reflect this. But you would have to invest in the other toys to make use of this feature and since we do not have other Link Squad toys I am unable to review this feature. Other than the price, this is highly recommended.
Fisher price quality
This toy provides the usual Fisher Price quality. It’s well made and sturdy and what it does it does well.
Personally I think that the toy didn’t really deliver that much though, particularly considering the price. More value is probably derived if you have other toys in the range that link together but they will also come at a cost. As a standalone item the interest was fairly short lived.

Fisher-Price Baby Learning Fox Toy
I got this Fisher-Price toy for my brother’s baby girl. She’s just over a year old, and she finds it incredibly engaging and fun. The toy comes in a branded box, making it perfect for gifting. While it’s a bit heavy, after dropping it a few times, it’s sturdy build held up well from rough kids play. Considering how high-quality Fisher-Price toys are, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price. Having grown up with Fisher-Price myself, I know their toys are great for sparking creativity, developing fine motor skills, and encouraging problem-solving. This particular toy has various interactive features that capture my nieces attention and help her learn cause-and-effect, which is essential for cognitive development. The bright colours and engaging sounds also stimulate her senses, making playtime both educational and entertaining. This toy definitely lives up to Fisher-Price’s reputation of making top class toys for young children.
Engaging for kids
This interactive toy has been a hit in our household. The variety of sounds, lights, and phrases keep my child entertained and engaged for long periods. Quality
This is a Fisher Price toy and as you would expect, decent quality. But it seems a bit confused.
My first question is – why does it have a Michael Fabricant head on it – surely he is not popular with toddlers?!
It has a DJ set, where you can say a few words, make a few sounds and it repeats them. It has teethers and rattle type toys, and then it has a keyboard with letters.
To me, these are aimed at different ages. Babies will like the shapes that go round the head, but won’t get the DJ bit or the alphabet. Older toddlers will like the copy function and the letters, sounds and songs, but won’t be interested in the shapes.
Seems to be trying to aim at too wide an audience for me. Babies, toddler and conservative supporters!
Linkimals
Regular readers of my reviews will know I’m a big fan of the Linkimals range from the same brand. These new products appear to be similar, but now with more of an educational focus.
They work well, and it’s always fun seeing the other toys in the range interact with each other. However, I just don’t feel as wowed by these as I did with the original Linkimals.
Good but loud!
Fisher Price have always been synonymous with good children’s toys since my children were babies in the 70s and this one seems pretty good quality too. The buttons and knobs work well and do a nice variety of things. I do think the volume is quite loud. The advertisement of the product says UK English version but it’s definitely American as you can hear on the video. My grandkids will all grow up with American accents I suspect!
You can change the buttons on the numbered part of the guitar to say the numbers or the shapes and I can see that this is a useful toy for teaching numbers, colours and shape names.
Engaging and Interactive
The Fisher-Price Baby Learning Toy Link Squad Crawl ‘n Colors Chameleon (UK English Version, HYL21) is a high-quality toy as expected from Fisher-Price. It offers a wide range of songs and educational content, including alphabet and colours, which is great for learning.
One standout feature is its mobility with wheels, unlike other static Link Squad toys I own. This makes it more engaging for children. It links and sings with other Link Squad toys, creating an interactive experience for kids, although adults may find the non-adjustable volume a bit bothersome, especially if you don’t like noise.
While advertised as speaking UK English, it leans heavily towards American English except for occasional words like “tummy.” Despite this, it remains a very attractive and value-for-money toy, enhancing both playtime and learning for young children.
Well thought out toy
Really well made toy. It’s like Fisher-price have thought of everything in terms of how to stimulate a baby’s sensory organs.
There are lights, such as the microphone lighting up as well as many different sounds. There is also the tactile play with moving the rings around the handle and spinning the “DJ” button, as well as pressing letters of the alphabet.
The toy is colourful, perfect for babies.
The one slightly negative observation is that the voice is an American accent, which makes sense given this is an American company. But the accent could confuse a baby who is still learning different sounds etc.
Fun, educational toy that's just missing a volume control
Fisher-price are well known for their high quality toys and this one doesn’t dissapoint. There are lots of engaging features, all the letters of the alphabet with matching objects and fun descriptions to explore, lots of different music when turning the ‘DJ deck’ and the record/playback feature is great. It takes your voice and ‘mixes’ it into a song – which when left with a bored father provided hours of amusement. The microphone lights up and it’s colours are even matched to one of the songs which is pretty cool. So all in this is a fun toy that has a good educational element and will provide hours of interest. However, it’s annoyingly loud and once you’ve started something you can’t stop it. I can imagine accidentally setting it off in the middle of the night and having no way to shut it up. So 1 star knocked off because you can’t control the volume or stop it once started.
Loud but a fun educational toy
The Fisher-Price Baby Learning Toy Link Squad A to Z Yak is a fun toy for babies and toddlers and it has lots of learning opportunities.
The toy has a bead bridge over the yaks head which is fun for babies but it seems odd when the toy seems to be aimed at toddlers more than babies. I guess it allows the toy to be enjoyed as babies and toddlers get older.
On the left of the toy there is a disc to turn with a button in the centre. When the disc is turned a song is played which teaches about colours or welcomes children to the toy. I particularly like the colour song as the corresponding colours are shown in lights on the end of the microphone which is fun. There is also a recording option which will play back with a bit of music.
On the right there is the alphabet along with a small picture. If the button is pressed on once the name of the picture is said followed by a short description, sentence and sound effect. If the button is pressed twice the name of the letter is read out but I find it takes an annoyingly long time for this to happen as a small bit of music plays before the letter is said every-time. It’s okay if you’re just pressing it once but if you’re going through many letters the music before each letter is frustrating and time consuming.
Overall this is a very educational toy but there are some things I’m not too keen on. For starters it is so so loud and secondly, once a button has been pressed there is no way to stop the toy from finishing the sentence or song until it’s over. Some toys you could press G for example and then press H after and it would stop saying Gs information and play Hs but not with this one. This includes the songs on the disc which are very long, once they’ve started they’ll be playing until the very end!
We are enjoying this toy but with the few frustrations it has I think I can only give it four stars. I’d still highly recommend it though, especially for toddlers.
Interactive Learning Fu
This small learning toy is delightful, appealing, and suitable for children aged 9 months and older. When children press Fox’s head, his arms move, and the microphone lights up to sync with entertaining songs, sounds, and phrases about opposites and more. It’s interactive and perfect for babies, providing an engaging and visually stimulating experience. I have other members of the band for my little one and are all of superb quality and still perfectly functional. When Fox interacts with other members of the Link Squad band, they light up too, singing and playing together to amplify the fun and learning. Every toy of the band is sold separately so this is the fox only. Overall, this colourful and joyful toy makes a delightful gift and a super cute addition to the Link Squad band
