Easy to put together.
It’s obviously quite a hefty unit, so mind your back, etc.
Firstly I was worried I would have trouble assembling this desk. I had no trouble doing it by myself and I’m no young buck.
Next, would my huge desktop unit fit below it on the shelving unit. But there is 11″ of space width-wise, so no problems. Though I have had to do without the central shelf, OFC.
Assembly was easy enough, if you follow the instructions, LOL!
HINT: Don’t tighten the screws too tightly – the mild steel the unit frame is made from can bend.
Another tip that has just come to mind, is. Before screwing the top in place. I pre-screwed and un-screwed the screws a few turns into the plastic ‘anchors’ sunk into the top. I had to do this because I found the screws would not bite into these plastic ‘anchors’, not without pre-screwing them first.
I chose to use the monitor shelf. Maybe, if you can, put the monitor shelf in place before you put the desk in it’s final resting spot. But it is possible to do this, like me, after. Just awkward. This shelf unit is very handy and I’d recommend use.
I’ve been using this table a few weeks now and the only thing I’ve found with it is: if you rest your feet on the supporting bar at the lower back, it might twist.
Other than that it’s got a lovely finish and I think it’s well worth the money.
Solid and more than fit for purpose!
Got this due to it’s relatively small size and needing to fit it in a small corner of the room. Great height to maintain a comfortable working environment with a very solid metal frame. Easy to put together with hex shaped screws and the Allan key provided, so no extra tools required. If you have a small space and only need a small desk, this will be perfect. Fits a wide screen on the additional layer, a laptop (on a different stand bought seperately), a keyboard and mouse.
Sturdy, easy to assemble, great value
Well made desk which is easy to assemble, and sturdy when built. Instructions are easy to follow, and all the fittings are good quality. Any fittings going into the ‘wooden’ components have captive threads for longevity and strength. All other bolts align well. It comes with a hex key for construction, and that’s all you really need. However, it will be quicker if you have a hand tool / screwdriver type holder for an allen bit. Definitely not essential.
The only advice I can give around construction, is to not fully tighten the bolts until everything is together. It is useful to have a little flexibility of movement to get everything in place and lined up. Once everything is assembled, go round and tighten.
Excellent value. The only thing I can possibly mark down on is the packaging, which includes very environmentally unfriendly styrofoam. It ends up being a whole bag of plastic waste. It’s just not necessary.

For the money these desks are fantastic! Look great, love the little shelves and the extra height monitor – granted they aren’t that big but big enough for what I needed and I can get a full office chair tucked in which I like
Nice desk but not deep enough
Nice and easy to assemble, sturdy despite being pretty thin wood but looks nice, only downfall is the depth, I would say that it needs to double the depth. Good value for what it cost though.
Great value
It looks as it is advertised and great value. Easy steps to assemble it, just the bolts didn’t fit quite right. I had to insert the allen key first and move it in the holes to make it a bit bigger. After that the bolts fitted perfectly.
I’ve been using this desk for a day now so time will tell if the desk has decent longevity but so far so good! I bought the black version and there are a few scratches from shipping but I can live with them, they’re not too noticeable.
The instructions were basic but clear, it’s fairly straightforward to put together. You only need an allen key which is included and all parts and screws are labelled. I ended up not using the monitor riser as I didn’t need it; it simply clips to the top of the desk so is easily removable if not required. The desk is mainly made up of hollow metal rectangular tubes that once put together offers good stability, theres no wobble whatsoever and I think it could take a fair amount of weight (I am unsure of its weight limit though). I have the 100cm width version and it has plenty of room for my 27” imac, keyboard and mouse with room to spare.
The middle shelf isn’t necessarily required so if you wanted to leave it out in order to fit a taller tower PC then that would be an option, which I may do in future. The worktop is quite thin, only about a finger’s width, but as I said combined with the metal frame there is plenty of stability there. I think given time then some scratches will show up (as I said there’s already some from shipping, despite being packaged well) but that’s to be expected with this price point.
I initially purchased as a stop gap just to work on before building a chunkier desk but I think I may just keep this one! It’s great value for money (I paid 50) and I would definitely recommend.
