HOZELOCK – Superhoze Expanding Hose 40 m : Flexible Hose, Stretches up to 3x Original Length | With 2 Aquastop Fittings for a Watertight Connection: Ready to Use [8240A1240] Yellow & Grey
Before Each Use
Check you have enough water pressure to use a Superhoze (3 bar minimum).
Ensure the nozzle is fully open, by turning it anti-clockwise.
Turn the water on at the tap fully, to flush through any trapped air.
Close the nozzle fully to expand the Superhoze.
Once Superhoze has expanded, open your nozzle and begin watering.
Refer to our “How-To” video for further help.
After Each Use
Turn off the water at the tap.
Open the nozzle to release the water and allow Superhoze to drain completely.

Securing Connectors
Check that the connectors have been tightened fully.
Check that an O-ring is present and in good condition on the end of the nozzle and the tap connector.

Maintaining the Fabric Layer
Clean with warm, soapy water and leave to dry fully.
Leave in the open air to fully dry.
Store in a ventilated, frost-free location.

Hose popped I love this hose but unfortunately it popped ..these things happen ..bought another but still awaiting refund for the first ..light easy to use and don’t kink ..but if over stretched will burs
Very impressed so far! I had bought a much cheaper version of this type of hose, and though it lasted only a couple of months before bursting I really liked how easy it was around the garden. Everything Hozelock I have purchased before has lasted many years so I have high hopes for this, it feels much higher quality so I don’t think I’ll be dissapointed. Great product!
Hose is very compac The hose is bright yellow so easily noticeable on the ground. Expands slowly as water enters from the tap giving a claimed 30m which I’ve not measured but looks about right. The hose comes with a few tap and pipe adapters. Seems robust enough but time will tell. Easy to use.
Great hose This hose really does expand! It takes a little while to fill up but once it’s full it’s great. Love how it contracts for easy storage afterwards. One thing I’ve noticed is that I don’t need to have the tap on full power when watering, this hose generates more pressure which is a good thing for saving water. Only used a couple of times so far, the great british summer has done the watering for me!
It is what it is The item is as expected. However as a “prime” customer I am disappointed that the item was delivered by Evri after three days when prime is supposed to be one day
Good quality Previously purchased a flexible hose from a chinese source which had poor assembly and leaked and failed from the outset. Design of the flexible inner pipe to the connectors was totally inadequate and was impossible to secure reliably.
By comparison this is a quality product and looks and feels like it will give good service.
It leaks A mate needed a new hose but doesn’t have much space, so when I told him about this style of hose he was instantly eager to try it, the space it saves him is massive, the only danger (if you can call it that) is due to the way it opens out when you turn the tap onoff, if you are not paying attention you could trip on it if you’re not that steady anymore (as is in his case), otherwise it’s pretty good, it comes with auto stop ends fitted (on both ends), meaning you can swap guns without having to turn the water off if you wanted, so to release the pressure and shrink the hose you have to hold the gun after turning the tap off to let the water empty from the hose and then it shrinks back down for easy storage.
The only downside I could list is that it leaks, I’m not talking about anything that would mean returning the hose, because I don’t know if it’s supposed to leak what with this being my first experience with such a hose, he puts it under cover as I told him to so the sun doesn’t degrade it (it’s in the info with the hose), but like hoses I’ve had over the years, sometimes you get that slight leak from the connections, bit like a leaky washer, so you couldn’t run this through from the rear to the front of the house (it’s a mid-terrace with no side access) so you would get your carpets wet etc, but I have had normal hoses do the same thing, hence assuming it as a normal thing, but I dare say some will get lucky and be water tight, but it’s the only niggle I have with it, otherwise it’s great.
Brilliant hose Fantastic. Only had it a day but great hose. I had a hoselock reel system before which has lasted about 8 years. Old hose has several leaks and kinkier than Soho. This is my first latex core / expansion type hose and seems robust and all fittings are good quality. Used it to water the garden then have put it away. It is so easy to set up, very lightweight, stretched out the full 30m and then self drains and practically winds itself up. Easy to store – I just dropped it in a bucket and have hung it up in the shed. No fiddling with a reel. The upside is also the downside as the core is latex so will likely perish but it is the nature of this kind of hose and the outer layer seems well made and fairly rugged. Minor thing and wouldn’t buy it for this reason but I kind of like the very bright yellow colour too as it’s easy to see against most backgrounds. Lots of other similar products about and looked at a few I various garden centres but some feel flimsy or have cheap accessories. Fits my other hoselock stuff as well. Grea
