I am often required to “wet sign” documents when I’m on the road or not near a printer. With the Phomemo thermal printer, I print my document, sign it with a pen, scan it with my phone, and return the document by email. It has excellent print quality, that is nice and dark, with better-than-expected resolution.

A decent little printer that is rechargeable too, so it’s quick and easy to print anywhere. This is a nice design, lightweight, not overly sized. It seems durable and well made.
This requires no ink, which is fantastic. It works with three different types of thermal paper. The paper goes in through the back of the printer. The prints come out nice and clear, without any kind of smudges etc.
It’s nice and easy to use, There is an app you can download to go with it. The app is easy to navigate, in there you can download any document you need, create your own and more.
I would recommend it. Fantastic for the price.
Ink free and space saving
This printer is incredibly sleek and small, looks fantastic in the office or workplace too.
Love the fact its 100% wireless – has an onboard battery and connects via Bluetooth using the phomemo app.
Instructions were a little vague, I use an iPad pro to draw my tattoo designs so downloaded the app but when trying to connect to the printer in the settings it kept erroring. The solution was to connect to the printer inside the app, not via the iPad Bluetooth setup, so be aware of that.
The prints are great and instant – quality is fantastic on the transfer paper.

Perfect for home office
This is a great printer for home working and general home life. As I only need to print off the odd document, I do not want a large printer on the side of my desk.
It is small and easily packed away in the draw. It is turned on from the click of a button and uses a USB C to charge. It’s super lightweight too. It’s black and white but provides a clear image for my documents. It’s quick and quiet to use too.
The app was easy to download and connect with no problems. I like how you can have different paper types.

J’ai achet pour tester au mieux et compltement du papier thermique en A4, 17,70 euros les 100 feuilles pratiquement aussi fines que le rouleau, j’aurais mieux fait de me coucher…
Il faut faire super attention en enfilant la feuille qui est avale rapidement et qui part une fois sur deux en travers avec le rsultat que vous pouvez imaginer… on va continuer avec les rouleaux, comme c’est pour dpanner en extrieur.
Bon produit facile transporter pour usage extrieur au domicile.
The Phomemo 3834 printer is perfectly portable. Loading the paper was easy, and connecting to my phone wasn't difficult either. The print quality is excellent. The only issue is that I did have some issues connecting to my laptop, but eventually did get to work.

This is easy to use straight out of the box – I did charge it up before use.

And it’s easy peasy to print from there.
I printed an image from my phone to test – and obviously it’s monochrome, but decent quality.
It comes with a roll of thermal paper, but can also take sheets as well if you prefer.
Ideal for my teen daughter who is just about to go into GCSE years, so ideal for printing off things to read or study with.
And it’s portable – so can take it out and about or print in the garden – you’re not tied to a printer and plug socket. And easy to pop in a cupboard when not in use.
No blocked cartridges – ideal for just document printing or quick printing.
Obviously it’s thermal printing – so if it’s kept in heat or sunlight it will fade quickly. Just be aware of that.

My Overall Sentiment
The Phomemo M834 is a compact and portable printer that offers a convenient solution for on-the-go printing. One of the standout features of the Phomemo M834 is its portability. The design is small and lightweight so it is easy to carry around and print documents or photos wherever you go. Bluetooth connectivity allows for wireless connection to your device, making it simple to print over the air!
While the M834 can handle various paper sizes, including till receipt rolls, I found the internal paper guides can be a bit of a faff to adjust to different widths, not helped one bit by the black plastic interior with the paper width guide markings stamped into it making them really hard to see. Note here that, if you intend to print till receipts on this printer, it can handle 53mm width paper but not the common 57mm widths. Also, till roll cores tend to be 40mm, so you’ll need to have a roll holder and feed the paper into the rear of the printer.
Where the M834 is going to beat desktop printers is through its portability and the use of A4 thermal paper rolls. The paper can then be simply loaded into the printer, slid into the printer carry pouch along with its USB leads, then shoved into a briefcase or tote bag. With its rechargeable battery, and USB power port, you can print just about anywhere!
Although I really like using the M834, I feel there are some aspects of the design that could be improved, most notably the fidgety plastic paper guides and the hard-to-see internal paper guide markings (I’m not entirely sure why portable thermal printers can’t print from one edge and just set the paper size in the app – do away with paper guides altogether!).
All said, the Phomemo M834 is an absolutely solid choice for portable printing. Its convenience, ease of use, and ability to print a variety of documents make it a valuable tool for both personal and professional use.

Finally someone has come out with a printer that doesn’t require $80 worth of ink every 6 months! Had to get help to install but that’s because I’m 75 years old and not computer literate anymore. So very easy to use. Highly recommend.
I was looking for a printer for travel to use with my MacBook Air M2. This fit the bill but there is an issue with the USB C port. The problem affects a number of these travel printers. The problem is that you can not use a USB C to USB C with them. If you use a USB A to USB C and an adapter then it will work fine. The problem from what I have found is that they didn’t include resistors on the USB C port to tell the computer that it is connected. I think this is a bad design decision since all new Macs only have USB C ports as do newer Windows computers. You can not use Bluetooth to print from a Mac to the printer.
This is not a deal breaker as it is a very nice printer and the drivers support Mac’s (with both ARM and Intel processors), as well as Windows computers (with Intel and ARM processors.). Plus iPhone, iPads, and Android devices.
