Handy for emergencies
This little pump is a lifesaver! I used it to top up my car tyres before a long drive, and it was quick and easy. The digital display is clear and accurate, and the cordless design means I can use it anywhere. I keep it in the boot of my car just in case.
compact and portable
This portable air compressor is a really useful bit of kit to keep in the car. I used it to top up my tyres before a long journey and it worked a treat. It’s small enough to store in the boot and the digital display is easy to read. It feels well made and comes with a handy carry case.
Great inflato
Simple and easy to use this is a fast and effective tyre inflator.
The pump comes with various attachments which means you can use it to inflate more than just car tyres. The inflator its self is relatively lightweight and compact which makes it ideal to store away in the boot of a car.
The device is rechargeable which is great although it does take quite a while to charge so you’d definitely want to keep this charged. The plus point however is that one charge will easily inflate all four tyres.
In terms of actual use, it’s pretty straightforward with a clear and easy to use display. Simply attached the valve and set the desired pressure, and the pump will inflate to the desired pressure then cut off.
As with most pumps there is a reasonable level of noise and the pump will get hot during use. Just be careful not to use the pump for prolong periods.
As a whole and at the price point this is a great value portable inflator!
Compact tyre pump but its NOT cordless.
Maybe we should have graded this lower but it does work well and its a compact size.
The title says “Cordless”. The box says “Wireless” but its neither so take care here.
Its a standard air pump the requires fitting to a 12V point in a car. There are NO internal batteries.
As its sold for bikes and motorbikes etc its a bit of a strange one.
You can pump what you want with the bag of adaptors but you need to be near a car 12V point!
The flex is also quite short so the unit will be dangling it the valve is upper on the car.
Its OK but the titling is wrong so beware.
Small & lightweight for emergencies
When I opened this portable for the first time, I had doubts about whether it could inflate a car’s tyre, and that was because of its size. This is a very compact unit so won’t take up much room in the boot of the car — you could possibly get it into the glove compartment if there isn’t too much else in there.
The pump came with a few adaptors for inflating bicycle tyre, footballs etc, but for myself I mainly view it for the car.
The length of the power cord is enough to reach all four tyres but the pump needs to be located very closely to the tyre as the air cable is extremely short.
Like any previous air pump I’ve used on the car tyres, you certainly know when it is on and when it has finished as it is loud, especially if you don’t use it in the open air but in an enclosed space. The pump inflated the tyres with a top-up of about 4-5 PSI quickly, and the car’s own tyre pressure monitoring system confirmed that it was accurate.
For such a small and lightweight pump, this is a welcome addition in the boot of my car and gives some piece of mind in an emergency.
As the title says, this is a very basic, tire inflator.
Its small and light, and if you keep the box to chuck it in, its a neat enough little inflator to chuck in the wheel well with your spare tyre.
It’s loud, it vibrates, the pipe is too short so it just hangs off the valve if its near the top of the tyre, but it works, it inflates tyres and it can give you a rough pressure reading, to get you out of a jam.
You can pay a lot more, but if you open up a more expensive one, they all seem to just have a cast zinc body pump the same as this one, and they will all fail in about the same time, so you might as well get this and save yourself some cash.
Decent budget compresso
The Wansimoo Portable Air Compressor is a small device that can easily be stored in the boot of the car until you need it and as it only has a 12-volt power connection it’s likely that’s the only place you’ll be using it anyway. You do get a spare fuse and a few ball adapters also.
It’s not a big device and is fairly light, which is good as the short hose means you may be dangling this off your valve depending on wheel orientation when need to use it.
It is a compressor and is noisy as you’d expect but no nosier than any other compact compressors I’ve tried. Build quality is about as good as you’d expect for the money.
Overall, decent compressor to keep in the boot though I’d look for something more robust if you need something for constant use.
Great for car tyres but confusing instructions!
This pump is very easy to use to pump up car tyres. Open the driver’s window, pass the cable through to plug into the cigarette lighter, and there is enough length to do both offside tyres. Unplug, pass through the front passenger window and repeat for the two nearside tyres.
The operation is easy – set the pressure you want, press go, and let it do its thing. It will stop at the pressure you’ve chosen (and, yes, it was checked with a reliable tyre gauge to make sure this new pump was accurate, and it definitely seems to be the case).
The instructions leave a lot to be desired!
* The safety paragraph made me laugh (see blue arrow on my photo), although I have to agree that it’s definitely something that you should never do!
* The pink arrows say there should be a battery in the unit, but as far as we can tell, this is just not true. The unit will ONLY work when plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car. This doesn’t matter for pumping up the car tyres, but if you wanted to pump up something like a paddling pool that’s nowhere near the car, then you couldn’t do it. (Maybe there are two models of the pump and one has an internal battery and the other doesn’t? )
It mentions being suitable for motorbikes, which is true — but only if you have some means of plugging the power in (and motorbikes don’t usually have a cigarette lighter socket!)
So, at the current price of 15.99, this is a good pump for car tyres that definitely makes life easier. For other uses, it’s likely to be far less convenient. I’ve rated it at 5 stars on the car tyre basis!
Basic cigarette lighter powered tyre inflato
This is a good basic tyre pump- it can only work with the engine running and the unit plugged into the cigarette lighter socket of your car. As such I would only recommend using it with another person also present and in a secure location.
You just preset the desired pressure level and it shuts off once you reach this – you need to reset the level each time. Check the correct levels on the door pillar of most cars.
The digital display inspires confidence but there is no way of knowing how accurate this actually is. You should really also check pressures manually with a guage as well.
Not bad at almost 16 but you can also get rechargeable units that don’t need to use the car’s power supply for not much more money. That said this is a good standby and doesn’t rely on you checking the unit is charged before a journey.
Overall happy to recommend.
Value optio
The ‘Portable Air Compressor Car Tyre Pump’ from Wansimoo is a value compressor for emergencies.
Powered by your cars power plug (if you have one) I wouldn’t recommend this is the compressor you use when at home because of the risk of flattening your battery, but for keeping in the car for those ‘just in case’ scenarios, this is just the ticket.
This is a basic product, light feeling, cheaper plastics – but when I tested along side my home compressor, it was easy to use, and seemed accurate in its pressure readout. So for something that sits in your car boot for that odd emergency, this does the job.
Handy portable pump.
The Portable Air Compressor Car Tyre Pump, 100W Tyre Inflator for Car Motorcycle Bike Ball, 12V DC Car Tyre Pump, Digital Tyre Inflator for Car Tires and Other Inflatables is a handy portable pump to keep in the car.
The power cable is long enough to reach all of the tires on my 5 door but I had to hold the pump as it inflated the tyre because the air valve tube isnt very long and will only sit on the floor if the tyres are positioned just right.
I appreciate that the pump can be adjusted to only inflate to a specific level and then cuts off once that is reached, no risk of over inflating.
The listing does say that this pump can be used for other “inflatables” but anything this pump is used on will have to be done beside the car as the power socket is for the in-car 1012v port, there is no mains adapter.
Overall good value for money at 13.99 but limited to where it can be used.
Budget-Friendly Tyre Inflator: Handy But Not Without Flaws
his tyre inflator does the job, pumping up car tyres effortlessly. It’s compact, easy to operate, and fits snugly in the boot. The digital display, though a tad small, is clear and readable, automatically shutting off at the set pressure.
However, it’s not perfect. The lack of a storage pouch leads to tangled wires, and it forgets settings after each use. The short air hose may pose inconvenience, and the plastic build feels cheap and prone to scratching. Plus, the noisy operation can be bothersome.
Overall, it’s a budget-friendly option for emergencies, but don’t expect exceptional quality. If you can stretch your budget, consider investing in something sturdier.
This is a portable air compressor and tyre inflator for those who just want the job done and want a budget option that just works.
The build quality isn’t the best but so what if it pumps up my tyres I’m happy and that’s how I felt opening the box, having a first look at it, and trying it out.
Really easy to use and comes with all the add on adapters for even using with motorbikes, balls, inflatable boats or whatever else you need to inflate or pump up.
It’s really lightweight and compact and surprisingly powerful. Just plug into your cigarette lighter and away you go
Set the tyre level you need and then start and just leave it to inflate to your desired tyre pressure before automatically switching off (ensuring it doesn’t inflate too much and pop your tyre!)
It’s a cheap feeling tyre pump but at a fraction of the cost of others with better build so ask yourself what’s important to you: saving money and pumping your tyres up easily or paying loads more and having a slightly better build quality.
This should last – I’ve no fears that it’s poor quality and I look forward to many years of travel with the peace of mind that I have an easy to use tyre inflator in my car boot!
Reliable and efficie
This pump is lightweight since it doesn’t contain a rechargeable battery, yet it’s powerful. The build quality is excellent, and it works efficiently.
The digital display is clear and easy to read. It automatically shuts off when the set pressure is reached, preventing over-inflation and giving me peace of mind.
The build quality is sturdy and feels durable. The design is compact, it’s easy to store in the trunk without taking up much space.
I felt that the pump works a bit noisy, which can be slightly bothersome if used in a quiet place or late night.
Acceptable for the price £13.99
Currently priced at 13.99 it is the cheapest Amazon Prime digital display tyre inflators available – so the review takes this low price in to account – (without this low price I would rate it 2 or 3 stars) I rate it 4 stars, meaning its ok, nothing special – if the price increases then I think there are better quality products available.
What I like:
– Compact and light, no frills and simple to use
– Cheap and affordable for very occasional use in an emergency
– Backlit display so you can use in the dark
What I dislike:
– There is no storage pouch, so everything is loose, will be a tangled mess after a while
– It forgets any settings after being used, so you will need to set the units and pressure every time
– The air hose is only 14cm long, it will dangle from the tyre
– Cheap plastics will mark easily and everything will look scratched up quickly
– Air hose connector cheap and may fail within a year of good use
– Small display, may need to use your glasses!
Overall I would spend a bit more and get something better. If on a tight budget and need something cheap urgently, then this will do the trick, but don’t expect much.
