Was so easy to set up – car only has stereo and works well with radio channels! Set up was 3 mins id say and that was my husband doing it! Maps is amazing. Phones call are good & does music too! 🙂 amazing upgrade for the price
Good clear screen, easy to navigate
The screen is good, clear and easy to navigate. The sound is ok and as I bought it to use sat nav from my iPhone is perfectly acceptable but playing music through the car speakers is obviously much better.
I spent some time searching for one of these to update my car system. Comes with various mounts, it fits snuggle in the spot here. Love that it’s Bluetooth and cabled for audio. Instructions are not the best. Remember to select your audio output or you get a horrific noise! I thought it was broken until I realised it was looking for a different audio connections. I’m using a aux cable. Switched it to aux and the noise stopped. Touch screen is great, clear and easy to see, day and night. So far so good.
My car is not that old (2016) and the sound system is great but every time I use the satnav facility the directions kept over riding the song. Very frustrating. Seen cars with the CarPlay system and looked into upgrading my entire stereo. When I saw the cost I couldn’t believe my eyes. Upwards of 800. Then I saw a link to this product. I saved over 650 and got a CarPlay system to rival the built in models. What’s more, if I sell my car this comes with me. Linking to my phone was child’s play and now every time I switch this on, my phone connects and my music plays. Or I can go for the in car cd player. Sat Nav does not compete with the song playing. I love this device nd you will too.
Works with iOS 17.5
Great device and simple to set up and use. I tried a couple of different screens to get CarPlay into my old car but they all failed to connect to CarPlay with iOS 17.5. This one worked straight away out of the box.
I had a pre sales email conversation with customer support who were patient and helpful, assuring me that this unit would work for me, they also suggested a couple of optional screens and explained the features.

No complaints about this product. Sets up easily, good screen as well as dash cam. Links to phone easily. Internal speaker is poor though can play through aux or fm radio or Bluetooth is your car has it. Magnetic mount is good for dashboard.
Amazing bit of kit!
I bought this after reading the reviews- I wasn’t sure what to expect.
A few things- very easy to setup (wireless Apple CarPlay)
Just remember that your iPhone still connects to the Bluetooth on your car (if that’s what you choose) and then a new Bluetooth connection is made to the Spedal device.
Seamless integration- Extremely responsive.
Its positive to see they include a very long cable to help with installation.

I read a lot of comments about shoddy build quality and poor performance regarding this product and my first impressions (after 24 hours) do not support these comments.
The plastic moulding is well finished and protects the edge of the screen and the screen itself is responsive. I do find that the time to boot up and ‘find’ the service that you need is rather long.
My biggest gripe is actually regarding the setup instructions – or more reasonably my lack of appreciation of them!
I have do admit that I did not read the documentation as when I opened the booklet I found it less than clear. I looked at the cables provided and tried to ‘use my intuition’. This was a mistake; I did not need any of the cables provided but I did need cables that were not supplied.
As a point of clarification – you need to connect your phone DIRECTLY to the unit AND switch on Bluetooth in order to use Android Auto connection. For this you need a usb c cable from your phone.
I did have a major problem with the delivery, Amazon gave me a code to give to the delivery driver. This meant that I NEEDED to be home to accept the delivery. This was a MAJOR inconvenience, if this mechanism is imposed on me again I will cancel the order.
Piece of cake
OK – early reviews have been known to be too preemptive but this product is worthy of first impressions. Nicely packed and provides everything you need and things you didn’t know you need. Bought the model without dash cam as we already have one fitted. First, I checked the configuration, it literally took seconds, wow. So I then needed to see where we could place it; every car is different, but all I can say is the bracket is substantial and allows for a fair few configurations so suffice to say it fit our circumstances.
The screen is clear and bright, the speaker is more than adequate for phone calls and is quite loud when needed.
I would highly recommend this based on first impressions and installatio
I have used this for about 2 months now to be able to write an accurate review based solely on my experience. I feel that this has transformed our car journeys for the better! No longer do I have to spend ages downloading music or copying CD’s, I quite simply plugged this device in, set it up and I’ve used it ever since with no issues.
The device connects to my phone (I use Android Auto) and conveniently plays music from my Spotify account. We can literally play any playlist we choose.
The touchscreen ability is fairly good and is highly responsive which we like.
It has Google maps on it too so it can be used as a satnav if you need to reach a particular destination you may be unfamiliar with.
It has the ability to alert you if you receive a text message and it can read it aloud for you. You can also make and answer calls from it too.
Once the engine is switched off however the device does switch off too, but when the engine is on the device automatically reconnects. I’ve set mine to play music straightaway because that is my preference.
Finally the camera can be set up using the included SD card and following the simple steps. It helps to record your car journey and to keep you somewhat safe.
I highly recommend this device. I was a bit sceptical at first, but you will not be disappointed.
I usually don’t leave reviews unless a product truly stands out, especially when there are numerous alternatives that overpromise and underdeliver.
Here’s what I appreciate about this product:
It offers great value.
The connection to Android Auto is impressively fast, taking just 10 seconds at most.
The touch sensitivity is excellent.
The screen is semi-matte, preventing distracting reflections.
The menu system is simple, easy to use, and understand.
It seamlessly connects to my existing FM stereo via the built-in FM transmitter.
The supplied mounting brackets are of good quality.
The unit is low profile (approximately 20mm) and features a 4-hole click-in universal mounting type, compatible with various mounts.
The video player is fantastic, playing any file type without issues.
As for cons, I honestly can’t find any.
I installed this in my 2007 Astra van, placing it in front of the old radio display, which is now unnecessary as I use TuneIn on Android Auto for my radio needs.
I had originally brought the 7 inch version but while it worked well with Apple CarPlay, I felt for me the size was a bit big ( just my preference) and looked into returning it. I decided to try the 5 inch version as I assumed it would work the same way, which it does. After connecting to my phone, which is also connected to my car’s Bluetooth, I am able to use the screen to pick playlists without having to touch my phone, and play them through my car music system also the steering wheel controls still work as well. I can use any maps on my phone for navigation. Also phone calls and messages work as well, ( if it is safe to do so). If you are looking to make CarPlay or android auto ( I haven’t tried android auto) work on your car then this is a great system. I had at first looked at replacing the built in screen in my car with a new one but the cost and installation made this out of the question for me and there would no guarantee my steering wheel controls etc would still work.
I had to return this because after a few days it came unstuck. I followed all the instructions again, and “re-stuck” it down but a few hours later it was unstuck again (the second time the screen was not attached, first time was sat in a carpark thankfully).
I was really disappointed because it’s a good one! It connected via bluetooth to my iPhone and my car, so I didn’t have to deal with any cables. I even had it plugged into my USB socket, since my Nextbase is plugged into my socket.
This is why I gave it 4 stars, as it’s still a good product, just the bracket wasn’t good enough. The telescopic part of the bracket is brilliant! There is another bracket in the box, but I don’t have anywhere to safely install the screen with that stand. I have a small car (Toyota Aygo) with limited windscreen space. Using the other stand blocks too much of my windscreen.
I’m now waiting for delivery of another spedal model that has the bracket that I need. As I said, the device itself is really good, but I need a proper suction bracket, not a sticky one.
