Good budget keyboard
Bought this after spilling coffee over my old keyboard, overall it’s a very nice keyboard, however I have the problem that the E key will occasionally double click itself, not a big issue but it does get annoying, good as a budget buy before getting a better one
Excellent gaming keyboard
Bought for my son as he is an avid gamer. The responsiveness of the buttons is excellent. The overall design is very comfortable and visually stunning. Very easy to install and the led lighting is the icing on the cake if you like RGB on your computer peripherals.
This keyboard is good.
When I got it it felt quite clicky which I enjoyed in my keyboards, I also enjoyed the fact it came with the arm rest that’s a nice bonus. Its also quite crazy that it feels really nice as a membrane keyboard.
Amazing keyboard!
Best keyboard in the market for the price! Loving the membrane switches as they are slightly quieter than others but still feel better than an average keyboard!
Razer software as everyone is aware is also top tier!
Good but could be bette
Had the keyboard for just over a year now. No issues other than the keys seem to be losing their coating. Some characters and letters are now becoming unreadable given that the coating is just disappearing.
Sleek and nice on the wrists keyboard
First of all, being Razer the packaging was fantastic, I don’t usually get excited about packaging but I’ll be honest the way they do it is beyond spot on that you can’t help but get a little blood rush.
Secondly, the wrist reinforcer is a very nice touch that adds additional comfort while sweating out strategy games. It’s also perfect due to the fact of having my wrists at rest, makes me less likely to flip a lid button bashing after losing a valuable unit or two. It’s also great with preventing injury, God forbid getting a wrist sprain in this day and age, I don’t think I could do it, going that long without releasing some pressure of life off.
Furthermore, the sleek design is great when paired up with a decent mouse (razer mouse highly recommended) feels like floating on some clouds. For those that aren’t Razer veterans there is additonal software to install that is as easy as taking a p*ss. Honestly, you can’t go wrong even your nan could have it all set up in as quick as a McLaren F1 Pitstop. There you’ll find a host of customisation features and a ridiculous amount of light options that I’d be here all day listing them off so you’ll have to take my God forsaken word for it. I highly recommend this keyboard you can’t go wrong.
Lastly, if you don’t mind, I need to explain to MI5 that I am not messing around with a nuclear reactor in my spare time. Thanks neighbours.
Good Value For Money
The Razer Ornata V3 X feels like money well spent.
Its backlit, responsive membrane switches, UV-coated keycaps, and spill-resistant design make this feel like good value for money.
The UK layout adds familiarity, while the ergonomic wrist rest enhances comfort during extended sessions.
Whilst not one myself, the durability and performance make this keyboard a solid choice for any gamer.
My only criticism would be that the wrist rest should attach to the keyboard either magnetically or via some form of clip.
I got this for myself for use with my gaming pc i have another razer mini keyboard which i love however i wanted a full-size keyboard for a few games but that was not going to break the bank, but that was the quantity i would expect. Enter Razer’s Ornata V3 Low Profile Mecha Membrane switches, which offers clicky keystrokes with a soft touch. It arrives in the normal branded Razer package shown
The Razer Ornata V3 is a decent gaming keyboard. It’s comfortable to use thanks to the ergonomic features and included wrist rest. You can also customize the RGB backlighting and program macros to any key using the companion software. The keyboard has dedicated media switches which are also backlit, the magnetic wrist rest is good and offers good support. The keyboard is Chroma RGB so can be controlled with the Razer software, as can be seen in the video.
However, the pre-travel distance on the mecha-membrane switches is somewhat long, so keypresses don’t feel instantaneous, the latency isn’t fast enough for competitive or reaction-based games, however is okay for casual gaming, and for what i use it for also, including typing this review.
Over all it’s a good good keyboard if your just starting out gaming at a good price with the normal Razer quality happy to recommend.
I bought this to replace a Cynosa V2. Typing is responsive and quiet; nice gentle resistance on the keys for a membrane keyboard and typing heavily isn’t loud enough to bother anyone else in the room. It’s a cheaper keyboard than the one I’m raplacing, but it feels very similar in tems of quality.
I’ve only gamed for an hour so I’ll update this review if needed, but so far no ghosting or issues with multiple or rapid key pressing.
The store pictures online of the Ornata V3 X are all of the US layout, as the image on the box, but this version is a UK layout. I’ve added a picture to this review for confirmation in case anyone is hesitant to buy on that basis.
There is only one lighting zone, so there is no custom lighting key by key. The lighting is bright on full and colour is adjustable all across the range. The white lighting is a good white, not an off-white like with many backlit devices.
There are no media keys, instead there are Fn-F shortcuts which suits me just fine. The periphery is narrow and inflexible. The wrist-wrest that comes with the keyboard is pretty flat so I’m switching it out for a padded one. It has a soft touch, but it’s more of a ramp than a support.
