This company produces the best backpacks I’ve purchased for various uses. I have four sizes. This version is excellent maximum permitted carry on size. Design anticipates flexibility and adjustments useful to carry more weight comfortably. I’m happy to have found a good solution for what I need.

It's not as big as I thought it would be, but it works. Lots of zip up pockets and it's reflective. Better than paying 80 to 100 bucks for under Armour bags. Quality is just as good. Zippers are of good quality also

Good value
A great bag for the price; padded straps, padded compartments, plus hoops and pockets. Looks good and feels good when on my back. It’s lightweight, as you would expect for the price, but it feels well-made and sturdy.
This bag is very durable, sturdy, good space and lot of color options. It is machine washable and very flexible in terms if we need to fold them. Definitely worth for the price

Great for light duty, but not great for heavy or hard edged items
Overall, I dig this pack. It holds a good amount of my gear and distributes the weight evenly across my back, hips, and shoulders. Teh material is a bit on the thinner side though and I noticed that my laptop started to wear through the side of the pack when it was on the ground.
Not a deal breaker, but it forced me to get a soft sided case for it when I stuck it in this backpack.
It rained pretty good when I was using it as well, and although I thought the material was not going to hold up, I was glad to be wrong. The backpack kept all of my gear dry as a bone without having to use anything else like Campdry, scotch guard, or a plastic bag.
I really like this new mid size backpack by Skysper and it is replacing a name brand one that has served me well while traveling internationally. This one is nicely designed and I love the colors. It is a solid alternative to the more well known brands with just a few exceptions. Likes: Nice deep main area. I like this feature as can pack a lot of stuff in it for travel or use it as a shopping bag on my back! Padded sleeve fits a 17″ laptop. Two larger exterior water bottle holders will hold a 1 liter bottle each. Nice for hiking so you can carry enough water on hot days for easy access. Chest snap clasp on the straps to help keep it on your back with a cool emergency whistle on it for safety. Cooling mesh on back is nice and breathable. Clasp for keys in front pocket so you don’t have to fumble for them at the end of the hike. Two vertical document pockets great for stashing transit or topo maps and other documents you may want at your fingertips. Safety reflective tape and places to clip on carabiners for other gear to attach. Good overall for travel. Concerns: Not sure how waterproof it will be since zippers aren’t really covered which typically leads to leaks. Lack of padding on the bottom of the laptop sleeve as there is no support/protection for electronics if they accidentally get set down harder than planned (it happens). I like to carry camera equipment too so I usually just fold a heavy T-shirt and place in the bottom of my backpack to lessen the opportunity for damage, but a real padded bottom would be so much better in my opinion. All in all, a solid day use backpack – just carry a cheap plastic poncho in case you get stuck in a downpour and pad the bottom!
Very solid budget backpack optio
I’ll start by saying that I generally love Skysper products. I had not heard of the brand before a couple of years ago, but our family now has several of their backpacks and they are a trusted brand when we need to replace a backpack. Although it isn’t a daily-use backpack for anyone in the family, all of our backpacks from them have held up very well over time.
This particular pack is no different. It is attractive, has thoughtful features, and feels well constructed. It has performed well on the occasions we have used it so far, including a 10-day trip in which it was subjected to a lot of rough handling. The pack doesn’t have some of the higher end features you might find in a “premium” backpack, but most of those higher end features aren’t necessary 95% of the time and often come with a significantly higher cost. At the time I’m writing this review, the pack is selling for about $40, which I believe is a good value for a pack of this quality.
Lightweight and large capacity
I am the scouting and strategy mentor for a FIRST robotics team. When we go to competitions, I have to pack 8 tablets, a laptop, a surface, a camping battery, lots of charging cables, and miscellaneous extras. It’s a lot for me or a student to carry. Originally I had it in two laptop bags but it was cumbersome to carry and took up too much space in the stands.
This backpack gave me all the space to carry everything in one bag. There’s a spot for the laptop in the main pocket and plenty of space for the camping battery and all 8 tablets. The second pocket had space for more power banks and all the charging cables. The smaller front zippers were perfect for pens, screen wipes, and thumb drives.
The fabric of the bag is very lightweight which was great since I was putting so much into it. The straps were comfortable to wear for long periods and it includes the chest strap with a whistle in the clip. The zippers all feel solid which is usually my indicator of if a backpack is going to last. I have no complaints at all about this bag.
Almost PERFECT
First Impressions of SKYSPER Hiking Backpack 30L Lightweight Travel Backpack Hiking Day Pack for Men Women(Green)
I am rating this bag 4.5 stars – reluctantly rounding up to 5 stars – affordable, cavernous capacity, lots of thoughtful features, quality engineering, but a few shortcomings. As a Vine Voice, I always give the benefit of the doubt when giving star ratings – but in this case, almost a 4 star but in the end changed my mind. Read on for details.
This bag checks off A LOT of boxes – padded laptop sleeve, meshed water bottle pouches on each side, storage solution compartments for every kind of thing, attachment loops, reflective tape, enhanced zipper pulls, compression straps, and I probably missed about a dozen more features.
I ordered this bag, hoping to replace a similar “premium brand” bag that I use. My current backpack is almost the same size, but I never seem to be able to pack everything I need into it. Now I found out why. Here comes SKYSPER!!
This SKYSPER bag has a breathtaking capacity. While physically, it is about the same size on the outside as my current backpack, on the INSIDE, I was able to pack almost twice as much — LIKE MAGIC. The way I pack is with kit pouches. I have zippered mesh bags for each functional kit. I posted a picture of everything I had put in this backpack and I still had MORE SPACE left: Packing cube with clothes for one day, chromebook, external portable monitor, medication, chargers, power banks, tool kit, flashlight, pen case and way more. I would never be able to get all that in my old bag.
The stitching and engineering is simply great – totally high quality and precision. I would have liked to see double stitching around the high wear areas such as the shoulder straps and zippers. Functionally, this bag is perfect and for the price, IMO amazing. Yes, here it comes – my critical comments.
What makes me hesitant about this bag is — I wanted to use this bag primarily as a daily bag to hold all my electronics gear. I also want my daily bag to fit as a personal bag during air travel. This bag is nearly perfect for me but falls short in areas that I don’t know if I can compromise. Check it out:
The laptop sleeve is mostly padded on the inside between the main compartment. The back padding behind the shoulder straps is intended to be the padding on the other side. My complaint is the back padding is less dense and protective as the inside padding; plus there is no padding at all on the bottom of the bag. When I set the bag down, I have to be careful to drop the bag, if I have computing gear inside — or else it slams and risks destroying my laptop or monitor. The way I planned to work around this is to use a padded sleeve for both my monitor and chromebook.
The fabric seems tough and appropriate. However the inner fabric is a crunchy nylon that sounds like crumpling paper inside. I’ve seen this type of fabric inside some suitcase pouches. I really don’t have any issues with the potential performance of this fabric – just I don’t like the way it feels and handles.
The zippers do not have storm flaps. This is such a small detail and I am outside often. When I am caught in a thunderstorm and carrying electronic gear, I do my best to find shelter. However, I need my bag to help shield my equipment long enough for me to reach overhead cover. And in the worst case scenario, to minimize rain moisture from seeping inside.
The shoulder straps are weak. Fully packed, my go bag is about 20-25 lbs which most of it is electronics. This is much heavier than most people carry. However, the shoulder straps are one of the most important touch points and I’m not sure why this bag is engineered not to impress with this major line item. The straps themselves are great for what they are – stitched immaculately, d-rings, chest strap with bright yellow release clasp, attachment loops, and reflective tape — but the padding feels cheap and cardboard-esque.
The bag lacks structure and works like a sack. The back padding is light and the bottom is just fabric. I think if the back was more firm which can be improved by adding a thin but rigid plastic board or a high-density foam layer, the bag would be less of a blob. Since I am carrying heavy pieces, this bag tends to contort in ways that the contents dictate. I can work around the fabric bottom by padding it myself – but this is extra work for something I want to be fully functional out of the box.
If this bag is mostly used to carry clothing or soft items such as a jacket, compact sleeping bag, travel pillow, blanket, and such; I would describe this bag as AWESOME minus the weak shoulder straps. For my use with heavy and multiple electronics, I am still undecided.
This is a pretty nice bag. There are some nice pockets and I like that the bottle holders are nice and deep. There is a spot for a laptop but there isn't any bottom protection, which I think is critical for laptop transportation. I ordered the green color but the green is very subtle. I couldn't even see green until I got it in some natural light and still, it was faint. Overall a decent value.

I love this hiking backpack!!! My ten year old Daughter and I LOVE going for walks in the arboretum, and I always have too much stuff in my pockets, and I always have to carry my water bottle in my hand, or if I have the carrier for it, I use that, but it still isn’t nearly as comfortable as using this backpack!! BOTH sides have a water bottle pocket, so I can carry both my Daughter’s AND my water bottle so we aren’t fighting over the last drips LBS, and the pockets are seriously HUGE!! It isn’t often that I find a backpack that has big enough side pouches to fit my daughter and I’s huge 40oz. wide mouth water bottles, but this bag has it figured out!!!
I also LOVE the design of the other pockets and the main compartment is plenty big enough to fit an XL sweater, if that’s a good idea of size. They also have really great pictures in the product info, or I would have included some of my own. The back of the backpack is VERY padded, and is designed and stitched in a way to really amplify air flow, which is going to be awesome on the hot days we will surely be using during this summer.
One of the most valuable parts about this backpack is the fact that it is water resistant. You won’t have to worry about being out in nature when it starts to rain, just make sure your electronics aren’t in the outermost area if it’s really a downpour-it isn’t waterPROOF, just water resistant. This backpack is also a great size for anyone who packs super light, and is going on a short trip-they aren’t lying when they say it can fit the items they list for a three day trip!
Overall, I HIGHLY Recommend this hiking backpack that will be really great for any outdoor activity where you don’t need nor want to carry too much with you. This is also great for any gender, any shape or any size, it doesn’t discriminate with its wide range of sizes for the shoulder straps and the chest strap, which I really appreciate!!
I hope My Review has been Helpful!!
