I’ve been using these daily for a few weeks now. In the heat wave we had, I had two fans on, one is very loud and wasn’t helpful for falling asleep. I tried my Loop earplugs (which are fab) but I like to listen to a podcast when I sleep. After buying an awful set of earphones, I found these.
Pros:
They are only a touch bigger than my Loop earplugs so easy to sleep with.
They come with multiple pieces to adjust the size.
The sound quality is really good for sleeping (I have not used them for anything else besides sleep).
If you lose one (or both) the app allows you to find it by playing a loud beeping sound. It works very well!
They hold charge overnight without issue. I forgot to put them in the case one morning and they were down to about 10% when I went to bed to read. They charged very quickly when I put them in the case and were good for the night.
But the best thing about them is the noise cancelling! Do they cancel all noise? If course not, but my goodness, my husband had trouble waking me up one morning when I had no sound playing through them!
Cons:
The touch function doesn’t work. This is why they don’t have 5 stars. Sometimes it would be helpful if it worked, but I’m also not convinced I wouldn’t accidentally set the controls off while I slept.
They sometimes fall out when I’m asleep.
That’s it. Two cons and multiple pros.
They are a little more expensive than I would like, but they will come in super handy during the day when I’m back on night shifts at work.
Overall I do recommend them, the noise cancelling is probably my favourite thing about these earphones.
Would recommend and buy agai
I have used these headphones every day since I got them. They are comfortable enough to sleep in, which is a priority for me because my husbands snoring keeps me awake. They are easy to use, I love the case. Would replace immediately if I lost them
I had a pair of Bose Sleepbuds (MKII) for 2 years and loved them for getting a good night sleep, and not getting disturbed by noise. When Bose discontinued them, and my first pair of Sleepbuds died (battery issues), I was gutted as I assumed I wouldn’t be able to find a decent replacement.
Then I discovered these, and I absolutely love them. They are WAY better than the Bose Sleepbuds in my opinion for an number of reasons:
1. They will work as a normal blue tooth pair of earbuds, and they actually sound great! I often use them for workouts and the likes.
2. The battery life is loads better than the Bose sleep buds for overnight use in sleep mode.
3. The sleep sounds are much more customisable and you can layer different sounds on top of each other to create a custom sleep sound. The flexibility is fantastic.
4. They cost less than half the price of what the Bose Sleepbuds were, but are a lot more feature rich.
5. The carry/charging case isn’t unnecessarily huge like the Bose Sleepbuds. It’s also nice and light. In addition, the battery life of the case is also much better than the Bose and I can generally get 5-6 nights out of a single case charge before having to recharge the case. (That’s with wearing the buds all night long each night)
6. The way the buds go back into the charger case is a better design than the Bose, and I’ve never had the buds fail to make proper contact with the case (a issue I had regularly with the Bose).
7. The passive noise cancellation (without masking) is much better than the Bose and even with no masking, they do a great job of blocking out the noise.
8. They are more comfortable to wear at night than the Bose. I did get use to the Bose, but these, I forget are even in my ears, and I’m a side sleeper!
The ONLY one negative I can report is the “wing” retention system just isn’t quite as good as the Bose sleep buds, and sometimes they feel a little loose despite having the largest fitments installed. However I’ve never had one fall out overnight, it’s more they sometimes unseat themselves and I need to reposition them for a better seal against my ear canal. However this is likely a product of my ear shape and the product design, and with all the other positives, I can definitely live with this and have found a position that minimises this problem.
Apart from that one minor point, these are absolutely perfect. I love them and take them everywhere with me when I travel.
If you’re a post-Bose Sleepbud user like myself, I can highly recommend these as a replacement, or more to the point, an upgrade. Full marks to Anker for their engineering on these. They have done a stellar job!
Wow **Soundcore Sleep A20** I must say, it’s completely transformed my sleep routine. As someone who has struggled with falling asleep due to an overactive mind, these sleep headphones have been a game-changer.
**Comfort**:
First off, the design is incredibly comfortable. The Sleep A20 is lightweight, and the memory foam ear tips provide a snug but soft fit. Unlike regular headphones, the Sleep A20 is specifically built to be worn for extended periods, so you can easily sleep in any position without discomfort. It’s also really discreet, so there’s no bulkiness around your ears or head, making it perfect for side sleepers.
**Sound Quality**:
The sound quality is impressive for something designed specifically for sleep. It features soothing white noise and relaxing soundscapes, which help drown out background noise and promote a calming atmosphere. The bass is subtle, which is ideal since you don’t want anything too overwhelming while trying to fall asleep. The sound isn’t too loud or too soft — it’s just right for creating a peaceful environment to drift off.
**Battery Life**:
Another standout feature is the impressive battery life. A full charge lasts me through multiple nights of use, and it only takes about 1-2 hours to fully charge. I never have to worry about running out of power mid-sleep. Plus, the Sleep A20 has a smart auto-off feature that conserves battery once you’ve fallen asleep.
**Additional Features**:
It also comes with an app that lets you customize your sound experience, whether you prefer nature sounds, calming music, or even white noise. You can control volume, choose your preferred sound, and set timers — it’s all very intuitive and easy to use.
**Overall**:
If you struggle with getting a good night’s sleep, I highly recommend the **Soundcore Sleep A20**. The combination of comfort, quality sound, and long-lasting battery makes it a must-have for anyone looking to improve their sleep quality. It’s perfect for people who need a little extra help blocking out distractions and drifting off into a restful sleep.
So, I have been using Bose Sleepbuds2 for around 4 years. I need these due to my wife’s snoring (not her fault, didn’t snore before a throat operation and it’s caused by scar tissue) but found the Bose last 2 years if your lucky then they get issues connecting etc, plus battery life gets reduced to around 4 hours. Not good, as they ain’t exactly cheap to buy!
My first set cost well over 200, the second set (refurbished ones) were 140.
I’ve been panicking trying to get decent replacements, and have bought and tried various different makes which have all been useless.
Then I spotted these at 119. Reviews looked decent so went for it. Absolutely delighted, words cannot describe how good these are! But here are a few words to try!
Size: These are perfect for side sleepers, as they fit nice and snuggly inside the ear and size wise are quite flat. They come with lots of different bud tips so you should be able to get the perfect, comfortable fit for you. I would go as far as to say these are even comfier than the Bose sleepbuds, and I’m just using the tips that they came pre-fitted with.
Battery life: This us where they are amazing! I’m not sure how long on bluetooth mode they have as haven’t tested, but on sleep mode I have so far had 10 hours and they were still going! I’ll maybe have a look at the app to see what percentage of power is left, but think that is more than enough for sleepbuds (and far more than any other headphones/sleepbuds I’ve tried). Battery life is amazing!
Sound: Although these don’t have ANC noise cancelling, they block out everything nicely. Depending on which sleep noise you want to use (and there are lots in the app, and you can also create your own and customise it!), they give a nice sound which isn’t too harsh. I also tried them in bluetooth mode with some albums I have stored on my phone, and the sound was superb considering these aren’t primarily designed for that purpose. The app also has built in equaliser to taylor the sound to how you like it.
The App: The app itself is one of the best sleep apps I’ve used. Slick user interface with lots of features, and easy to use. For superior to the bose sleepbuds app in every way. You can pick the sounds you want to use to create your sleep sound mix(up to 3 different sounds from the vast list of built in sounds) and you can then configure the volume of each sound to get the perfect mix. Alternatively, you can just choose one sound from the huge list available. You then upload the sound directly to the sleepbuds themselves, which only takes 40 seconds. That means you can run them without them even being connect to your phone, which I think is z massive plus point.
Overall: In my honest opinion, these are THE best sleepbuds available right now. I have bought so many different makes/types, all of which have been useless and sent back, whereas these are just superb. Easy to pair to your phone, comfortable to wear, nice sound and superb battery life. Very impressed and highly recommend these sleepbuds!
Update 31/3/2025: so, after using these for a while now, they have sadly developed a fault. Left earbud charges fine, and the tap functions work, but after an hour of using it sound turns off and can’t be made to come on again. Again, tap functions etc still work, but no sound on either sleep mode or Bluetooth mode. Right earbud carries on working as normal. The sound on left earbud when it does work is also massively reduced compared to right bud.
Have done all the usual troubleshooting steps such as factory reset, reinstalling the app, re-pairing them with my phone etc but once left ear buds gets down to 90% charge, the sound stops. Gutted as these have been by far the best sleep buds I’ve had. Amazon have arranged collection from my home and full refund.
Going to order another set of these though and hope they last this time. Time will tell. Have removed 1 star as a result of the fault.
I previously had Bose Sleepbuds 2 which failed and had to be returned for replacement. As I now cannot sleep without white noise to mask external sounds (not block, these are not ANC, but instead they mask sounds by playing white noise to stop your brain from being able focus on other noises) I had to find something to use whilst I waited for my replacement sleepbuds.
I took the gamble with these at an offer price of 99 (the Bose sleepbuds are nearly 3x the price). I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by the quality or features, but couldn’t have been more wrong. The A20s are pretty much better than the Bose in almost every single way.
The comfort is great. They are ever so slightly bigger than the Bose, but only by a tiny amount and still more than comfortable for side sleeping.
Battery life is solid. I get 6-7 hours sleep and use in sleep mode only. In the morning I have at least 50% battery, so even when the battery starts to degrade, I’m still going to be able to get a full night sleep with them. Using in Bluetooth mode might not offer the same amount of battery life, but they offer an auto switch over mode so you can start in Bluetooth mode and then switch to sleep mode after a set amount of time or when they sense you’ve fallen to sleep.
The Bluetooth mode is a standout feature compared to the Bose. You can listen to music, podcasts or anything you’d use normal earbuds for, with the added benefit of then having a full sleepbud feature for sleep time. The sound for music and media is not as rounded as a specific earbud, but that’s not what these are to be used for. It’s an added feature that adds versatility and value as to how you can use them.
The app is fantastic and has sleep tracking features and reports, alarms and also a whole suite of noise masking sounds. The customisable sounds are also a massive selling point over the Bose sleepbuds. Bose give you their sounds and nothing can be tailored, so you’d better be happy with what you get with the Bose. The A20s allow you to layer up to three sounds, with different volume levels to create a sound that is perfectly customised to your own needs and preferences. I’ve used a couple of different rain sounds layered over a brown noise track that gives a complicated enough sound so my brain can’t focus son external sounds. I find that 40% volume is perfect for falling asleep to, anything else is much too loud, so reviews saying these aren’t loud enough I find very confusing as can’t see how you’d want them very loud.
I eventually got the replacement sleepbuds back from Bose, but they have remained sealed in the box as I now can’t go back to them having found these to be a much more superior product in every way. If you’ve had sleepbuds that have failed and, like me, you can’t live without them, the A20s are a solid replacement at a much better price point. Anker have done an amazing job with these and have beaten the market leader at their own game.
Suchawki przerosy moje oczekiwania
W tych suchawkach mona naprawd wygodnie lee na boku. Nie spodziewaem si tego, mimo obejrzanych przeze mnie recenzji, bo nawet mae zatyczki do uszu, ktre posiadam, wywieraj presj na ucho. Tutaj prawie tego nie ma. Wreszcie mog wygodnie sucha audiobookw przed snem!
The search is ove
After years of trying everything I could find, sleeping headands ( tinny sound and always lose elastic ) pillow speakers ( sound terrible ) wired night earplugs ( uncomfortable and often woke with the cord wrapped around my face or neck ) these are in a different league, great sound and base for such small earplugs, comfortable enough to keep in all night, no discomfort side sleeping.
You get what you pay for and these after 3 months of use have been worth every penny.
Highly recommended.
Previous A10s failed…in the end I got the a20s ….expensive…. But the concept is superb.
These are just like wearing normal earplugs. I Like to listen to a podcast to drift off to sleep. After a preset time, they turn off automatically. If you roll over in the night, there is no pain in the ear like with normal earphones.
Also various types of ‘white noise’ in the sleep mode turns off when it thinks you’re asleep.
Also tracks sleep on the app.
Sound
Great earbuds bought to replace my dying Bose sleep buds. Noise cancellation works on 2 fronts as they plug the ear snugly and the available sounds mask snoring. Easy to connect and as an added bonus the Bluetooth mode allows you to use them as normal earbuds for music! Comfy to wear all night and great value
These ear buds are honestly fantastic.
I’ve been hoping to come across something that can perform like these for a few years and after over two weeks of use every night, I can happy say I’ve very pleased with them.
You pair them with your phone and can use them as bluetooth earbuds. Now there are some reviews here that complain about the audio quality but I’d say two things here. First of all, these are intended to be earbuds that help you fall asleep and play to you whilst you’re unconcious, so comparing them to audio equipment at 2-4 times the value which has the intended use for daytime listening is just not helpful. Equally, I come from a profession of over a decade of working in TV and whilst these aren’t the absolute best sounding earbuds I’ve ever heard they are more than good enough and far from the worst.
So like I said, you can set them up to playback audio, and I have it set to play an audio book or music from my phone (via Audibles or YouTube Music) whilst I go to sleep. The earbuds then detect when I fall asleep and pause the bluetooth source. They then switch to playback of a white noise/soundscape I have saved directly onto the earbuds that I have set to play for the rest of the night.
Now there is a HUGE library of sound effects, sound scapes and white noises to choose from, and there’s a tool to mix them and create your own soundscape. You can then have up to 4 saved directly to your earbuds at any one time.
You can set it to either play the chosen noises for X amount of hours once you’ve fallen asleep, or you can have it play for the rest of the night (like I do). As this audio is saved on the earbuds and it’s not streaming via Bluetooth, once it’s switched to this, the battery life lasts for ages.
You can also choose to not use the Bluetooth at all and just start the soundscapes immediately when going to bed.
I’ve seen some comments saying people have struggled with the touch controls and I must admit, when I first started using them, I thought the controls were a dud. But it’s just a matter of getting used to how to do them, you need to properly tap them with your finger tip, not just touch them. But it works great and since I’ve learned how to use them, I’ve not had a problem. It also makes sense. You don’t want the controls to be something that could be accidentally pressed while you’re sleeping.
Speaking of that, I spend most of the night sleeping on my side and that’s not been a problem with these at all, they are perfectly comfortable.
They also track your sleep, and whilst the sleep tracking isn’t quite as accurate as the tracking I get with my Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, one unique feature is that it tracks what position you’re in for the most of the night (left, back, right, front). In the morning it’ll let you know what was your preferred position that night and what percentage of the night you spent in that position, and also how often you turned over in the night.
The charging case has a USB C cable and charges pretty quickly. I found that it lasted around 9-10 days of use every night (with Bluetooth and then sound scape for the whole night) before I needed to charge the case.
There’s three little lights in the front and when you put them back in and close it up i the morning it’ll light up to let you know how much battery is left in the charger case. But whilst connected to your phone when they are out of the case you can see the battery level for each ear bud in the app, which is also really nicely put together.
Oh, also they have a find me feature. So if you do misplace one, you just tap in the app and it’ll play a loud noise so you can find it easily
They are comfortable and come with three different sizes of noise blocking cups and 3 sizes of inner cups.
Honestly, I really can’t recommend these enough.
Great Earbuds
These earbuds are slim profile and true in-ear. Being a side sleeper who wakes frequently in the night, these are a god send for comfort.and ease of use. They are easily switched between Bluetooth media and soothing sleep sounds with a downloadable library.
Sound quality is very good. The case, though attractive can lead to fumbling to open the sliding lid and to redock the buds. Some kind of tactile indications would help.
Bes
I have tried many earbuds forcside sleeping and these are the only ones that I cannot feel in my ears and the battery lasts forever. Havinv it in my ears all night and battery only drops to 70%.
The sound quality is excellent too.
Highly recommend.
Before these Ive been using the Hush plugz silicone ear plugs – the most comfortable for quiet sleep. But i wanted to experience these A20 – maybe they would be even better?
They are cumfy… I’m a stomach/side sleeper and can comfortable put my ear against the pillow with the plugs in my ear. There are different size plugs and wings included in the box.
I use YouTube videos (sleep sounds like rain, thunder) or an app like Calm to fall asleep. The A20 recognize when I have fallen asleep and automatically changes to their in built soothing sounds for the rest of the night.
The sounds from your phone through blutooth sound great some soundscapes are so 3Drealistic you feel you are in the middle of the woods while its raining. Lovely. The inbuilt sounds from the Soundcore app are in mono though, but you wont be bothered as they still soothing and kick only in when you are at sleep (and keep you lullying in good sleep) 🙂
The controls need tapping on the earbuds. I had an issue with this but Soundcore customer service sorted it out. You can switch between bluetooth (sounds from your phone) or the inbuilt sleep sounds.
Pros: comfortable, sound great (you can use them for podcasts, music, but there is a small latency in sounds if you want to watch videos), battery last well till morning
Cons: they are tricky to put back in the case in dark, but you learn quite quickly to do it
I absolutely love these. They dont have active noise cancellation (thats why they so tiny!) but they block a bit passively and then the sounds you listen to drown any noise like snoring around you.
I highly recommend these!
Great battery & comfy!
Having previously used Apple AirPod Pros and used Bluetooth for Rain sounds whilst I slept, their battery ran out around 4am. These nifty buds are SO comfy, never fall out and last me all night. They are not noise cancelling like the AirPods but still help combat my husband’s snoring! Get them if you need a long battery, like hearing ambient sounds while you sleep and get sore ears from other makes. The different size wings and tips are awesome!
Perfect for side sleepers, bit pricey
I bought this on Prime day for 102 which is a discount of 20 from it’s usual price which is still fairly expensive hence the 4 stars instead of 5 stars. However, it is a very good fit in the ear for side sleepers and in sleep mode it has a good library of sounds to help you doze off to sleep or you can keep it in bluetooth mode if you want to doze off to your own stuff. I’ve been using them every day for about a month and no issues so far.
Comfort, fit, sound
I suffer from tinnitus and have tried a great many sleep earphones, none of them were comfortable enough. These are a game changer. I have worn them for round a week now and I don’t feel them in my ear. There are many sized earpieces to find your perfect fit. The app is a bit limited, but no big deal as I listen through Spotify. Sound is very good. I’m very happy with my purchase
Good enough for side sleepers.
I went on a cruise ship holiday shared the room with a friend who’s known snorer.
I slept most of the night. I felt that it’s passive noise cancellation are better than normal ear plugs.
You just need to get use wearing it in bed.
With it sound off works better for me at the end cos most of it’s sounds are stimulating
than sedating for me.
Incredible Bit of Ki
These Soundcore Sleepbuds are a game changer! They fit perfectly in my ears and don’t fall out during the night. As a side sleeper, I can’t feel them at all when lying on my side. I used to use the Bose sleep buds, but they were no match for these, so I have ditched them.
It’s great to be able to listen to podcasts while going to sleep, knowing that once I’m asleep, the chosen background noises automatically come on. The library of background noise choices is more than adequate, and it’s fantastic to be able to choose up to three noises to download into the sleep buds. These three noises can all be played on top of each other to create the perfect combination of sounds to blank out any outside noise or frequencies of your tinnitus.
An alarm can be set using the app and then sent to the Sleepbuds, which means there’s no need to have them connected to the phone during the night. As soon as you take the Sleepbuds out of the charging case, they immediately play your chosen SleepSound without needing to enter the app, which is great when you are tired and just want to go to bed without setting things up on the phone. The battery life is brilliant; I only used about 50% in eight hours of sleep.
I can’t recommend these highly enough! If you suffer from tinnitus (as I do), then these are worth every penny. The sound quality for streaming audio is very good.
I purchased these earbuds to use whilst sleeping. The app took a little while to get the hang of – it’s not the most intuitive, but everything’s there.
I found them comfortable to wear for a full night’s sleep, and using the downloaded soundtrack, they lasted until morning with time to spare. However, streaming via bluetooth, the batteries were almost exhausted at around 6 am, so not really satisfactory, and not as much as claimed. This only became worse after 2 or 3 weeks, I also noticed that the left earbud would only charge to 90% – it looked as though the battery was starting to fail.
Due to this, I reluctantly decided to return them.
You may wonder why I have given 5 stars for a product that I’ve had to return, this is because after trying out an alternative, I now believe that I should have asked for a replacement, rather than a refund – if you find my review of the (albeit much cheaper) Damipow earbuds, you’ll see why.
These buds, I think, are the best option for all-night use – I’ll probably purchase another set.
These are great for sound blocking even with no sound playing as in the ambient or white noise sounds you can play directly from the earbuds without the need for Bluetooth connectivity, this obviously saves battery life, they connect instantly, you can switch between modes with a double tap, customer support are excellent, the batteries last all night and even have 40/50/60% left in the morning depending how long I’ve listened to my android tablet which I use just as an audiobook player. When you drift off to sleep they automatically switch to sleep mode and start playing which ever sound you have chosen, you can even make your own sounds by mixing rain, thunder and wind etc. These earbuds are extremely high quality and fit very well due to having three sizes of ear wings which help hold them in your ears so they never come out and also different sizes of ear tips to choose from, four to be exact. X-S, S, M & L. They look really cool as well and are really comfortable. I am a side sleeper and I do not feel these what so ever, I do not know what I would do without them now. I am a brain injury survivor and have tried lots of so called sleep earbuds and sleep aids and I can tell you from spending a lot of money on companies that blind you with science with very little evidence that these are the only ones that work as stated. They are great for hypersensitivity to sound as the sound you chose for sleep mode blocks out irritating noises. And as mentioned they are even 100 times better at blocking sound than loop for example without even having ambient sounds running. I think this is because the cover more of the surface of your inner ear with the wing tips. They are also so easy to use. The design is great, I highly recommend that you try a pair. I could not be happier and have not slept so well in a very long time.
Not ANC
Comfortable and allows Bluetooth connection. I put on a droning podcast to get to sleep which turns off once it detects you are sleeping. If it detects you wake it reverts to previously downloaded white noise. The non anc noise cancelling comes in the form of two seals per ear.
I bought the beige colour. Brilliantly snug and comfy to sleep with. Sound excellent. Don’t drop out of your ear when turning in your sleep. Doesn’t hurt your ears. Option of ear cap sizes to suit all. Smart carry case. Easy to fit into your ear. No fussing or faffing. Good coverage before going out of range. Charging easy and convenient and lasts well on one charge. I’m delighted with these even-though a little pricey.
Highly recommend.
I rarely leave reviews but these earbuds have blown me away. I’ve been a nightly Hoomband user for 3+ years and I’ve tried Bose Sleepbuds (couldn’t justify the price as you couldn’t use them with Calm/Spotify etc). When I saw the A20s, I read a lot of reviews and was a little sceptical as people had commented on the sound quality but I’ve been using for 3 nights now and I’m so pleased I bought them. They’re at a much more accessible price range compared to the Ozlos and a lot more discreet than the Hoomband. I’m a side sleeper and they are unbelievably comfortable; after getting settled, I don’t even know they’re there. Battery seems excellent (albeit 3 days in). I’ve been using Bluetooth for 7/8 hours a night and battery was 70% after night 1 and 30% after night 2. They’re not noise cancelling but if you take the time to get the right fit of the buds (comes with a good size selection) it blocks out a lot of sound.
Highly recommended!
After many attempts to find help with sleeping these have hit the spot. Combined with a good (& not too firm) pillow for side sleepers like me. The sound quality is more than adequate. The comfort is outstanding. Battery life is excellent. They stay in brilliantly. My small ear canals made many other choices impossible to use, due to pain after a few hours but these A20 buds are supremely comfortable. The only slight issue I find is putting them in, as it is a bit fiddly (although you get used to it). I personally prefer to use sleep sounds from a separate app. These buds are superb!
I live in a downstairs flat with noisy neighbours who live in the flat above me and for years I’ve found it extremely difficult to get a good nights sleep and have woken up groggy and tired most of the time. I’d bought 2 pairs of Bose sleepbuds 2 a couple years ago which offered me a quality nights sleep with no disturbance, however unfortunately they were discontinued and no longer work due to a battery issue. Since stumbling across these A20 sleepbuds im desperation for some relief I’m so pleased to say these are amazing sleepbuds for offering me 2 great nights sleep since I received them. They feel a lot like the Bose sleepbuds in their design with the wing tip and curved earbud. You can use these for playing music, podcasts, YouTube, etc as they have Bluetooth but I’m only using them for sleep, there are several preset noise masking sounds to choose from or you can choose your own, and switch between 4 sounds which can be downloaded to the buds. They also measure your sleep during the night and let you know how much you’ve slept or woken up and most importantly how much deep/rem sleep you’re getting. Deep sleep is so important for mental and physical recovery. I’ve got some health illnesses so it’s so important for me to get a good nights sleep, as with my illness I often feel fatigued anyway. The only slight complaint I would remark with these buds is that it still lets in a little bit of outside environmental sound but that may just be down to not using a different sized eartip. All in all these do not disappoint, and I would encourage anyone who values their peace and a quality nights sleep to buy these especially if like me living below disrespectful noisy neighbours upstairs. If I had to buy another pair I would. I’ve been searching for something like the old Bose sleepbuds for sometime and these are the closest thing to them.
I have been using Bose sleepbuds for years. They were a game changer for me with regards to sleep. Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore. My last pair finally died and I bought these to replace them. I am so glad that someone has made a lower priced sleep buds that is much more accessible.
A couple of things to note.
The battery life is great! When I wake up in the morning they are still at 60%!
Though slightly bigger than the Bose sleepbuds, they are still comfortable.
You can play your own music, and the quality is much better than I expected.
They are good at noise masking, but not as good.
I love the fact that they measure your sleep, but the sleep measurements are very different from my Fitbit.
All in all a super product for the price. I’m very happy I have found them.
OMG! I can’t believe it. This tiny set of in-ear headphones beats every other pair I’ve had on sound! They came fully charged. Pairing to my phone was dead easy. Then came the sound. I’m speechless. I was sceptical after listening to online reviews. Some people complained that the bass was not that good. Well, my experience says they are all wrong.
I’m hearing parts of my fav songs that I never appreciated before – I kid you not. Everything is crystal clear in separation like I’ve never heard before from any previous over-ear or in-ear headphones. The Signature mode is great. Base mode is also great and produces all the thumping bass I could ever need. EQ customisation is quick and easy.
I tell you the fit and sound blocking is nearly as good as my other headphones with ANC on. Unbelievable but real. So comfortable and light. I could do cartwheels and they would not fall out.
I’m like ‘How?’ How does Soundcore produce all this magic!? Matters not – they’ve done it.
The sleep mode was less than satisfactory on testing for 2 nights. The A20 manual states, “Sleep A20 does not have an ANC feature. This feature is only effective in Sleep mode.” I correctly configured Bluetooth settings and without doubt followed all the instructions to the letter (app running, app not running, waited 30-odd minutes etc). I could not detect any ‘effective ANC in Sleep mode’. I am aware that the A20 does not have microphones and uses mobile phone for assistance.
I’m afraid Soundcore has made a mistake by not including ANC as standard whatever the mode for the A20. Soundcore has other models for 1/2 the price that have ANC with 6 microphones, that run for 10 to 12h with after a full charge. So it’s only a matter of time that a true sleep bud with ANC is coming.
Sleep tracking was not accurate from my tests on both nights. It said that last night I only had 6 min of deep sleep in 8 hours. That must be wrong. Yes, the buds were properly fitted and did not fall out. I slept very well, like nearly totally comatosed.
The sound of music was so great that I was tempted to keep it. But after weighing my disappointments with the Sleep mode v cost of the item, I decided it was not for me. So, I returned it for a full refund. Keep up development and let’s see a full ANC sleep bud soon, at 1/2 the price.
