This came in handy when weighing suitcases before going on a trip. Seems to be accurate and made of decent materials, built to last and at a bargain, competitive price. Can recommend to others. The numbers are easy to read while weighing items.
Handy gadget.
This really helped to weigh our suitcases before flying. It seems accurate. It’s small enough to take in your case for the return journey, too. Saves getting to the check in desk a frantically moving clothes from one case to another!!!
Works well
Using it to measure 30kg suitcase and it was about 100g leeway to the airport scale so it was quite near accurate. Very helpful to know whether you’re going over. Easy to use and holds the weight of the case well without snapping.
Really accurate
Really accurate just lift the suitcase slowly don’t jerk it up or you will get a false reading. Cross referenced with our stand on scales and then when we got to the airport against their digital scales and it was within 50grams, perfect! Feel very sturdy so I’m sure they will last a long time, really easy to use and easy to read, performed really well so I’m happy and for a bargain price.
Temperamental
Great little device when it works! Have to wait a few times for it to work, but seems quite accurate when it does as it wasn’t far wrong with what our cases weighed at the airport.
Handy and Reliable with Minor Limitations
I recently purchased the STATUS Luggage Scale, and it has proven to be a very useful tool for my travels. Here’s my detailed review:
#### Pros:
1. **Accurate Measurements**: The mechanical scale provides accurate weight readings, helping me avoid those unexpected overweight baggage fees at the airport. It’s reliable and consistent.
2. **No Batteries Needed**: Since it’s a mechanical scale, there’s no need to worry about batteries running out. This makes it very convenient for travel.
3. **Built-in Tape Measure**: The included 1-meter tape measure is a great addition. It’s handy for checking the dimensions of my luggage to ensure it meets airline size requirements.
4. **Compact and Portable**: The scale is small and lightweight, making it easy to pack in my luggage without taking up much space.
#### Cons:
1. **Limited Weight Range**: The scale has a maximum weight capacity that might not be sufficient for very heavy luggage. It would be better if it could handle a higher weight limit.
2. **Dial Readability**: The dial can be a bit hard to read, especially in low light conditions. A more prominent or backlit display would enhance usability.
3. **Build Quality**: While the scale is generally sturdy, the plastic parts feel a bit flimsy. I worry about its durability with frequent use.
#### Conclusion:
Overall, the STATUS Luggage Scale is a practical and reliable tool for travelers. Its accuracy and convenience outweigh the minor drawbacks, such as the limited weight range and readability issues. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-use and portable luggage scale.
4 stars!
Keep it simple
No frills, just doing what you need it to do.
Just be careful with sharp pulls spiking the weight and over-reading.
In general the readings were bang on to ever so slightly higher (+0.5kg) higher than those read on airport check in scales. So on the right side.
The compact size of this makes it easy to toss into my suitcase or carry-on bag, so I can weigh my luggage on the go and avoid any surprises at the airport.
The display is clear and easy to read, providing accurate measurements every time.
This luggage scale is a game-changer for me – no more last-minute repacking or worrying about overweight baggage fees. It has saved me time, money, and stress during my travels. I highly recommend this luggage scale to any frequent traveler or anyone looking to streamline their packing process.
I got this as it was inexpensive and easier to use than the manual scales- with reviews reporting it’s very accurate.
I have weighed my suitcase 25 times now and either get a reading of 12-13kg (10 readings) in a row or 26-28kg (15 readings); again in a row. I have no idea which weight is correct. My suitcase could be over the airline weight limit (medium size case) but then as person with a joint disorder weighing less than 40kg myself, I struggle to see how I can lift the case one handed if it is a third of my body weight. And yes, these readings were taken using the same lifting technique, within the space of hr. I’ll just have to buy a different scale and find out.
EDIT: It turns out I can’t read. The scale features Kg and lb- whilst it initially read in Kg it must have somehow switched to lb (coincidently 12.7kg = 28lb ). I can’t seem to switch back to kg as there’s no instructions though. So whilst this scale is cheap and works- be aware it is not idiot proof.
