    Works as it should
Instructions weren’t clear had to Google how to assemble, also no information on how to charge the battery or what charger to use.

Still giving it 5 stars at its works really well extending the battery life.

    comfortable
The head strap is great for VR enthusiasts. The 10,000mAh detachable battery provides extended playtime for 3.5 to 5 hours, which is very good for long gaming sessions. The adjustable strap offers enhanced comfort and stability, making it much more comfortable to wear. It fits well and doesn’t slip during use. The installation was easy, and the battery charges quickly.

    Must have for v
The best feature is the extended playtime. you can get an additional 5 hours of use, freeing you from worrying about the headset dying mid-game. The detachable design allows for easy removal when not needed, reducing overall weight and bulk during shorter play sessions. The adjustable head strap and soft PU foam padding enhance comfort for extended VR use.

While the extended playtime is a major perk, it can be a bit uncomfortable due to the weight of the battery pack positioned at the back. Additionally, the included comfort features might not fully eliminate all pressure points during long VR sessions.

Overall, the Syntech Battery Head Strap offers a compelling solution for extending your Quest 3 playtime. Anything is better than nothing as usually i only get around 3 hours of play time before needing to charge up my headset.

Extend your use time with the battery
I really like the concept of having extra power without having to recharge my headset. Now I can double my play time without having to recharge. The only minor downside is the battery pack is on the heavy side, but it does counterbalance the weight of the headset itself.

The head strap part is also very nice. It is so much better than the stock strap that came with my headset. It was very easy and straightforward to attach to my headset. With the dial-in capability on the back and sides it is so easy to fit to my head and face. The biggest like: it is so easy to take off. For some reason I felt a bit claustrophobic with the original headset. With this head strap its very easy to get in and out of.

This is a quality product and I recommend it.

Nice! Simple works. It does its job but it doesn't have the special charging capabilities like other electronic devices would have For instance like super fast charge or anything like that so sometimes I use it as a phone charger. If you don't need the headset and you're just getting this for the battery I would suggest maybe just getting a battery on its own like an external battery cause that can do the same thing. If you need the head strap and everything then this would be good for you. Hope that helps

    My favourite strap (of 4)!
It’s been a real quest (see what I did there? lol) to find a truly comfortable strap for my Quest 3, but the search ends here. This is THE ONE (despite my low expectations). I’ve purchased 3 straps in the past, but this is by far the best.

On opening the box I was unimpressed, but assembly and installation was a breeze (even without looking at the instructions). I thought the battery was too bulky and, compared to my current 26800 mAh battery, significantly underpowered for my needs – so I actually didn’t even use it for the first couple of weeks. I just connected my current larger battery to a belt and played that way. (Those of you who have or have researched the Quest 3 know that it drains the internal battery ridiculously quickly – just over an hour – so an external battery is a necessity.) One day I forgot to charge my own battery, so I plugged this one in and was pleasantly surprised. It nearly kept pace with the headset drain, meaning that I was only losing about 10% per hour. That’s a lot of hours of play time – great for those Real VR Fishing special event days! Even with the internal battery completely drained I expect that this little dynamo would give you the same amount of play time as the internal battery.

The extra padded strap really puts this one head and shoulders above all the others I’ve tried. It distributes the weight perfectly and makes the Quest 3 sit snugly against my face with no light gaps (I do have a silicone face pad with nose flaps, but still had light leakage with other straps). It seems completely weightless and moves like part of my head, offering a supremely immersive play experience – despite the weight of the battery. Amazing!

The one con I found with this unit is the charging time for the battery – it takes HOURS to recharge. But it gives me enough play time so that I’m ready to log off for the day anyway, and leave it charging overnight. You may be able to charge faster without a larger capacity block, I haven’t looked into that (I’m currently using a 40W block with 3 other items on charge at the same time). But overall, this strap is the next best thing to perfect!

    Great way to extend playtime
I like to play for long sessions on my Oculus Quest 3, so this strap with a battery integrated into it was a great find.

I’ve used a couple of aftermarket straps, so I’m not new to changing straps on this model of Oculus. This strap installs the same way as others, so I was able to swap them out quickly.

The strap is supportive, and the battery at the back actually helps to balance you out a bit so it’s not so front-heavy.

This particular strap has a dial on the back that allows you to adjust the size to fit different heads. While this is a great addition, and a must-have if multiple people use the same headset, I feel that this is where the strap falls a bit. All of the other aftermarket straps have this mechanism, but the dial on them is a bit textured. On this strap, the dial is very smooth which makes it harder to grasp and turn. I think that adding some grooves or texture to the dial would be a great change to the next version of this strap.

The battery back is, of course, the star. It’s easy to plug into the headset, easy to charge, and lasts a long time. I haven’t drained the battery during a play session yet.

I would definitely recommend this strap.

Perhaps should have been a default accessory
The kids love to use the Quest 3 for hours on end, and this accessory brings so much more additional time in the virtual worlds via a comfortable, well put together package.

The build quality seems great, it is easy to assemble, and up to the challenge of enthusiastic kids not caring they are wearing some expensive kit.

It is so good, and has such an impact on enjoyment, that I do wonder if something like this should have been first party default accessory.

    Highly recommended.

    Pretty much essential
Some kind of replacement head strap and battery edition is essential for a meta quest. This particular one is nice and comfortable. It holds its weight well and does act to a certain extent as a counterbalance for the visual unit at the front. The battery itself is easy to remove and charge and the padding is easy to clean if it gets sweaty. The whole thing seems well made and should last reasonably well. There might be cheaper alternatives but all in all the price seems fairly good considering everything that you get. The battery capacity of 10,000 milliamps is decent and easily adds 3 hours of battery life. Not much more to say than that. Easy to attach and use, and does what it processes to do, so thoroughly recommended.

Nice bit of kit to extend your battery life and play times!
So I made a small boo boo; this is for the Meta Quest 3, but I got it for my Meta Quest 2. The side arms are different in length between the Quest 2 and 3, as an FYI, and the headband can’t clamp onto the headset on a Quest 2.

Other than that, this kit is very nicely made. It has additional padding on the back, where the battery pack rests. All the components click together nicely, and the battery pack adds another couple of hours of play to the headset.

I do find the stock setup a little front heavy. All the weight is on the front, and the headset tends to slide forward. When you add a battery pack to the back of the headset, it evens the weight out slightly, and helps with balance.

    Good value but...
This is not a bad headstrap and the fact that you get a pretty decent battery pack with it at this price is nice. The battery provides more than enough power for my Quest 3 to actually charge the internal battery while in use (when connected to the battery pack the battery level goes up even in use, rather than just maintaining or more slowly draining). The placement of the battery looks silly but it doesn’t feel heavy or too imbalanced when wearing it and I suppose that’s the most important thing.

Materials wise it’s not the nicest strap replacement I have but it’s far from the worst. I think I still prefer my halo style headstrap for use while I’m home BUT this is going to be my new headstrap system that I change to if I plan to travel with my headset. First of all it actually fits in my Quest 3 travel case with this strap installed and it is hopeless with the halo one. Second, this strap is lighter (before adding the battery pack).

I am kind of disappointed in the fabric headband (the grey part) it just doesn’t make much sense to me. It doesn’t actually attach to the strap in any real way it just wraps around the side arms and flops around and moves up and down the arms, and it’s not easy to adjust. It looks and feels more like an afterthought than something that was really engineered for the strap.

    Comfortable
This VR head strap is comfortable to wear and is also not too heavy. The black foam padding is high quality and is much better than the stock option. The circumference is adjustable via a dial at the rear, which has a nice smooth action. It comes with a rechargeable battery pack too. Highly recommended.

A good headset with battery functio
This is great. I love my meta quest especially playing long sessions on rec room and gorilla tag but the battery soon depletes and I have to recharge. This headset not only makes the quest a more comfortable headset to wear but it also has an external battery giving me extra play time. It says it can give me up to 3 hours but it’s more like an hour and a half when on power hungry games. The headset can be adjusted to fit you head and it does a good job of balancing the weight of the headset and extra battery although it does hurt my neck after a while and can be bulky and hot at times.

Exactly what to expect from Synctech
Having spent hours in the virtual realm, battling dragons and exploring galaxies, I can confidently say that the Syntech Battery Head Strap is a game companion that every VR enthusiast should consider. The freedom it offers is simply exhilarating.

Let’s start with the standout feature — the 10,000mAh battery that comes neatly integrated into the head strap. This powerhouse ensures that your quests are not cut short by pesky low battery warnings. With extended playtime, you can immerse yourself in the virtual world without worrying about interruptions.

Comfort is key when you’re diving into your favourite VR adventures, and the Syntech Battery Head Strap gets top marks in this department. The adjustable strap fits snugly, providing a secure and comfortable fit for extended gameplay sessions. It’s lightweight and well-balanced, so you can forget you’re even wearing it.

The detachable design of the battery is a stroke of genius. When it’s time to recharge, simply detach the battery and connect it to a power source — no need to remove the entire head strap. This thoughtful design element adds to the overall convenience and usability of the product.

If there’s one small improvement that could elevate this product to perfection, it would be to enhance the strap padding for even greater comfort during prolonged use. A little extra cushioning could go a long way in ensuring maximum comfort for all users.

In conclusion, the Syntech Battery Head Strap is a reliable companion for VR enthusiasts looking to enhance their gaming experience. With its long-lasting battery, comfortable fit, and thoughtful design, it’s a must-have accessory for anyone diving into the virtual world. Comfortable lightweight and functional head strap with battery pack easy to set up an easy to use!
Neatly packaged this was unboxed and installed on my Meta Quest three within moments. After a quick charge of the battery, I placed the headset on my head and was surprised at how comfortable everything fit. The battery pack adds the additional weight required in the back and counterbalances the weight of the headset upfront.

The snap and go battery is a welcome quick and interchangeable option which I thoroughly enjoy. The 10,000 mA hour battery provides extended playtime with the headset giving me a total of three hours total playtime. Again additional batteries will extend that playtime again and again. This makes, the head strap a great additional accessory for game nights. I will continue to get additional batteries to Support extend play Time. The slim form factor also makes this easy to pack where many other headsets with battery packs fail. This does very well at keeping the form factor low, making it possible to travel with the Meta Quest and share VR experiences with friends and family wen on the road.

In line and in step with the Meta Quest style, I am quite impressed so far.

The Syntech Battery Head Strapis a substantial upgrade in comfort & usability extended battery life
    The Good Stuff:

Comfort Upgrade: The head strap provides a significant improvement in comfort over the stock one, with soft cushioning that holds the head well and reduces slipping.
Easy Assembly: Simple instructions make it easy to put together, and the intuitive design allows for quick setup.
Ratcheting Tightening Mechanism: The arms feature a superior tightening mechanism, making it easier to adjust the headset securely.
Battery Performance: The 10,000mAh battery pack offers extended playtime and is easy to attach and detach, with a helpful charge indicator.
Build Quality: quality materials and attention to detail, including soft straps and a well-designed battery pack,

    Opportunities:

Compatibility Issue: While designed for Quest 3, it’s not directly compatible with Quest 2, although some parts can be adapted, which may not provide the best experience.
Optional Cloth Strap: The extra cloth strap may shift during use and isn’t essential, although it’s soft and comfortable.

Bottom Line: The Syntech Battery Head Strap offers a substantial upgrade in comfort and usability for Quest users, with easy assembly, extended battery life, and a secure fit. While there are some compatibility issues with Quest 2 and minor aesthetic preferences, overall, it’s a steal for the price and highly recommended for those seeking an enhanced VR experience.

Syntech makes great stuff! This is a steal!
I have tried many different aftermarket straps and all of them have different pros and cons depending on design if it’s halo style or elite strap style. I find that this Syntech one is the most comfortable and helps keep the headset in place during intense exercise sessions…yes I exercise with my Q3 using Supernatural.

Comfort wise it is more comfortable than other Elite style straps I have tried, I find that the rear padding is positioned slightly higher which works better for me. The side to side strap also helps pad the side of my head and helps with side to side motion during exercise. The tightening mechanism is super smooth compared to other straps I have tried which are very clicky and not smooth feeling.

Build quality wise it is superb, the straps are soft and high quality. The band is made of nice colour matched plastics and feels solid. The battery design also looks the part and is well thought out. The included orange right angle usb-c cable is the cherry on top! The cable even includes a velcro cable tie, that is attention to detail! The battery pack is actually not too heavy and I find that I actually find that it balances out the headset and makes it feel less front heavy.

If I must complain…Is that the design of the rear padding like I mentioned earlier, it sits higher up than compared to other straps and as such will not fit in my Syntech hard case!!! Bummer…but I did not dock it marks because that’s a separate item.

Overall for the price this is a STEAL. Get it now highly recommended! Skip the other 3rd party straps and the Elite strap, this Syntech one is the only one you need. It is a superb deal considering it includes a battery!

Excellent Value. Decently Comfortable. Difficult to Disassemble.
For the price, this battery head strap for the quest 3 represents excellent value. At the time of this review, it was going for $65.99 with a $15 coupon, making it essentially only $51 before taxes. For this price, it essentially is able to compete well by doing 90% of what the $80+ battery head straps are able to do, which is essentially provide great comfort while greatly extending your playtime with the Quest 3.

Despite this excellent value, however, there are a couple of things that make this a bit inferior, hence why I’m only giving it 4 stars:

First and foremost, the cushion of the headstrap itself is incredibly difficult to disassemble. It was very easy to put it on (simply snap it on), but taking it off was incredibly difficult. Perhaps mine was a lemon, or I’m just crazy, but I couldnt’ figure out a way to consistently take it off without feeling like I was going to break the device. If you plan on assembling this once and not worrying about packing it up (as in my case, as I have to review a number of straps like this), then this issue may not be much for you

Secondly, the cushioning itself relies on a lot of velcro that wraps around the frame. It does hold, but it is a bit annoying to have to make sure that you aren’t pulling on it when handling the Quest.

Thirdly, the comfort, though leagues better than the original strap, isn’t quite up to par as a halo strap. The horizontal cushioning that this one comes with isn’t that supportive, and a dedicated halo strap is notably better in terms of comfort compared to this. With that said, however, halo straps generally cost a bit more.

Fourth, the battery compartment can’t be charged while being used, forcing you to take it off and charge it separately. Higher-end battery straps allow you to passthrough.

Overall, this battery headstrap is still a great buy and proves to be an excellent value for what it is. All of my little cons are perhaps nitpicks from someone who has experienced better battery headastraps. If you are looking for something on a budget or simply as a gift, then this is honestly the best battery headstrap so far, as it simply does everything you want it to do but at a fraction of the cost. If you are, however, looking for the best possible battery headstrap, I would suggest looking for a halo strap that has a battery compartment that can easily detach and passthrough its charging.

Enhanced comfort during extended VR sessions.
As of this date, May 2024, the regular price of this item is $65.99. However, at the time of this review, the price could be decreased to $50.99 by applying an available $15.00 discount coupon.

This head strap for the Quest offers a significant upgrade in comfort and usability compared to the stock strap. With soft cushioning and a ratcheting tightening mechanism, it provides a secure and comfortable fit without the discomfort of the original strap.

I’ve tried several Quest 3 head straps, and this has to be one of my favourites. I especially love the streamlined and lightweight design of this strap. It’s extremely easy to just slip onto my Oculus, no instructions are needed. I was good to go in less than a minute.

This design is a lot more adjustable and supportive. There is also ample adjustability front to back with the adjustment of the wheel, which is large and turns smoothly. I had no problems fitting my big melon head comfortably into this strap with room to spare. I totally recommend this design for larger heads.

The fit of the strap is excellent. However, I think the Velcro part on the back of the strap is not long enough, I have the feeling that it is going to get loose at some point and could be extremely risky for sure.

Overall, this is a lightweight, comfortable and sturdy head strap at a fair price, it is definitely worth it and I recommend it to anyone enjoying the VR adventure.

Regarding the battery pack, it is great to give some extra juice to your Meta. It feels sturdy and well-made. It is a 10000mAh battery which according to my tests (on the battery eater best Mega 3) gives you a couple of hours of use, but again, this will depend on your device and the apps you use or games you are playing.

Overall, the assembly process is straightforward, and the added battery contributes to longer playtime without adding much weight. It’s a great improvement for Quest users looking for enhanced comfort during extended VR sessions which is a well-known Meta problem, this allows you to extend your use, but it will not charge your device while using it, TOTALLY understandable since we already know the Meta overconsumption issue!

    I recommend the product.

    Great and comfortable
This headstrap is a big upgrade to the stock strap for the Quest. Gone are the days of the uncomfortable strap digging into one part of the back of my head, and in with the days of longer battery life and comfort.

The strap is easy to assemble, there are full instructions on what to do, but I found it intuitive enough to begin with. You just take off your old strap, stick on the new arms, attach the back-of-the-head part to that, run the strap of that through your regular top-strap hole under the cushions, and you’re good to go. Attach the extra cloth strap and battery as desired.

The cushioning on the back of the head is really soft and comfortable, it holds your head quite well and is far less prone to slipping than the stock strap is.

The arms are functional and have a racheting tightening mechanism on the back of them that is far superior to the regular strap, making it a lot easier to adjust the headset and making it more difficult for the headset to untighten itself inopportunely.

The extra cloth strap is.. There. I actually found that I preferred going without it, since it made putting on the headset a little trickier (It tended to shift as I put it on, forcing me to adjust). But it’s optional, and the material of it is very soft and comfortable, so I don’t really have any complaints about it. It does fine without it, and if you need it, it’s there.

The battery is good. It’s not too heavy- though you can feel the weight of it on the back of your head while it’s attached, it’s not uncomfortable, at least for me. It’s easy to attach and unattach as necessary. It holds a decent amount of charge and has a cool looking indicator on it to show you how charged it is.

The cord for it is decent quality, and more than long enough to reach.

And if you’re asking yourself, does this work with the quest 2, or just the quest 3, the answer is (not) simple:
It does not work with the quest 2.. Technically.

The plastic arms will not attach to the quest two. However, you can attach everything else to the stock strap, including the back part and the battery, and it will work. It’s janky, and clearly not designed to be used that way. The back part will kind of sag when you’re not wearing it, and it’ll be trickier to put on.. But you can do it, if you want. I’d probably just buy one designed for the quest 2, or one that’s compatible with both, if you have both. But I thought I’d test it and let you know.

Overall, the strap works great. My only complaints are aesthetic (I personally would prefer an all-white color scheme) but that’s personal preference. I can see the black/white/orange being a very striking, half-life sort of aesthetic for some. Which if you’re gonna play Alyx is probably an upside.
