    A Gem in the Jet Li Collectio
    Jet Li is in his element in this film.
    As a practitioner of Tai Chi, Wu Shu and Baguazhang, he is well suited for the lead role.

    A good storyline, a bit daft in places (like a number of Chinese martial art films), but the action is excellent.

    Brings back childhood memories
    I loved this movie when I was kid, I’d watch it all the time and me buying the dvd now as an adult and watching it again brings back childhood memories.

    Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA more subtle Tai Chi movie than it appears at first sigh
    This is really 2 films in one. If you watch the English language version it is simply a kung fu movie. Tai Chi players will find more pleasure in watching with the original Cantonese soundtrack with English subtitles as this explains the philosophy and names the Tai Chi forms as it goes along. The section on the Chen village, birthplace of Tai Chi Chuan, is especially interesting.

    Jet li,s old classic martial arts movie you can watch it in english subtiltles or english dubbed if you are looking for a great jet li martial arts movie this is the movie for you look no further brillia

    DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION...
    The ranking is for the movie but DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION. I would recommend you search for Tai Chi Master, these are the same movies except this copy is so bad in that it is dub only no subs available. IF you like subbed then sure get this but frankly I think your better of with the Tai Chi Master version.

    Very enjoyable martial arts saga
    I liked this film, one of the most enjoyable I have watched recently, the story is the usual fare – two boys growing up together learning the art of kung-fu and then the inevitable parting of the ways and one craves power and the other justice. Some very good fight scenes allowing Jet Li to show his full repertoire of fighting abilities, the acting isn’t as bad as some i have seen lately although it is no award winner.

    Still funny
    I enjoy this Jet Li film. I like some of the funny dialog and the scenes with Jet Li`s character being crazy. This is pretty
    action packed. I liked the fight scenes. I think the plot is somewhat original.

    Picture quality: 4/5

    Looks improved to old Dimension DVD. Higher details and better sharpness. Of course the colours looks stronger. 1 bad
    thing is that with benefit of HD quality, you get to see all wires in this film. I didn`t notice them so much when i watched it
    SD quality.This is of course because of the much high resolution, contrast and improved quality.

    Audio quality: 4/5

    I compared all 3 tracks, and i did find the English: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track the best of the 3. The music, dialog and
    the new foley effects in the fight scenes sounds crisp and clear. The original effects sounds dated and poorer. The
    American Blu-ray doesn`t have any of the audio tracks in lossless quality, so this is the best edition to get.

    Film: 4/5
    Overall: 4/5

    We bought this dvd as we enjoy fighting action. As long as you dont mind reading subtitles it is a good movie. some good fighting sequences and quite a few funny moments. would recommend for a movie night but only if you dont mind reading all the words.

    Master of Tai Chi Jet li
    From the start to the finish two naughty monks get the boot from bass camp and have to find their way in life.
    To Cut to the chase one seeks Power the other Knowledge and understanding but both lose their way and have different ways to solve their problems, its a serious and funny film too but in the end evil becomes so strong that only the (One will servive.)
    Check this great film out its full of magical action that leaves a lasting impression.08/10
