Easy to use
I bought this for my Mum as her old one had lost it’s sound quality. It was easy to set up. I transferred her old number to a new sim with ease. The sound quality is brilliant, now my Mum can finally hear us!
It was a little more expensive than others, but worth it. It’s a great little phone with large buttons and has the SOS feature, giving peace of mind. Very Pleased with it.

It’s super simple to use, with big buttons that are easy to see and press. My grandma uses it all the time now to call me and chat, and she feels so much more confident having it around. The SOS button is a brilliant feature. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if grandma needs help, all she has to do is press that button and it will automatically call her emergency contacts. The battery life is great as well. It lasts for ages on a single charge.
Perfect for anyone who has dexterity issues
i love the design of this phone with the large buttons and as someone who has dexterity problems this phone has proved to be invaluablke.
1 of the most outstanding features of this phone has to be the sos button, easy to depress and the best featrure of this is if the 1st contact doesn’t pick uo it calls the 2nd/3rd contact etc.
it;s important to stress although advertised as for the elderly it’s also great for children or those with dexterity, I’m only 50 and have just been diagnosed with arthritus which effects my hands which means i cannot use my regukar phone but these large buttons are fantastic and easy to depress.
I like the finer details to this with the colour screen, it’s sim free so your not tied to a contract and the battery life is fantastic which is much needed when you can’t actually physically charge your phone due to dexterity issues.
Money wise this is good value for money for a sim free phone with the added touches as stated above

I would suggest that it would be improved by removing the radio function too, as it’s an unnecessary confusion. A radio is a box that sits on the window cill, with a knob on the front of it.

A basic phone with a few extra features
This is a basic cell phone with some extra features. It is not a smart phone and you cannot install and use apps on it. QR codes are a non-no. That means it cannot be used for on-line banking, internet, games, or any advanced functions. However, as a basic phone with a few extra useful features, it works well and is adequate.
The font size is slightly larger than usual and that makes it easier for the visually challenged to use it. The quality of the speakers is OK. The camera is poor and the images are not sharp and defined. You need to insert a SD card (not supplied) to use it fully. I could not get the radio to work at all. It is supposed to download and tune into FM radio stations automatically upon start-up, but it failed to do so, and all I got was irritating noise. Despite several alternative efforts to download any radio stations manually, it failed miserably. The calculator is basic, but is useful for simple calculations. The alarm clock works well and is loud enough to wake you up from deep sleep. The calendar is useful and can be used to remind yourself of appointments, birthdays etc. There is an instruction leaflet which comes with the phone, but it does not fully describe how everything works, step by step. A lot of trial and error is needed to master how the phone works, which is simple for someone experienced with mobile phones, but difficult for any beginner to the technology.
This is a useful cell phone designed for children, as perhaps their first phone. It is also OK for seniors who only want a basic phone, which is simple enough to understand how it works, and do not need internet connectivity. It is useful as an emergency phone. Sending and receiving texts works fine. It is good that it is unlocked, so you can use any mobile phone network of your choice, by inserting a cheap SIM card and buying minutes etc. The SOS feature may be useful in rare cases.
It comes with a small charging dock which is simple and effective to use. It plugs into a mains power socket. Charging, however, appears to be slow. It took me an hour to charge the phone up and it was not even fully depleted. There is no indication or warning light etc. to tell you when it is fully charged, unless you turn it on and look at the usual green sliding indicator, and to have to keep doing that to see when it is fully charged is a bit of a nuisance. So I think the manufacturer could have installed a small green exterior light to indicate fully charged status.
I would have preferred it to come in a protective case, or to be a fold-up design. Placing it unprotected in a pocket invites dirt adhering to the screen, which I found to be prone to smearing, and occasional false pressing of the buttons which is unsatisfactory. Of course one can buy a protective case for it, but I think the manufacturer should have provided one. Overall. I rate it OK.
A good way to keep in touch with a loved one
I got this for my Nan. She finds this one much better and easier to use than an iPhone another family member got her, as she found that too complicated and didn’t use half the functions anyway.
It just does what she needs, and after a little bit of time to get to grips with it, nan likes this one.
The buttons are big, the screen is clear, the menu icons are big, clear and easy for her to see and understand.
The battery lasts around a week before needing charging again, although it doesn’t get a lot of use tbh, but then it doesn’t cost too much to keep charged then either, and is always there if she needs it.
It’s perfect for what she needs. The price is reasonable I think.
Overall, it’s worked out well and I would recommend it to anyone that wants a simple to use phone to stay in contact with loved ones.
Easy to use phone with large buttons
This is a phone designed to be used very easy because it has large buttons and just regular functions.
I have gifted this to my grandmother because she had some difficulties using her smartphone and everything is using this one she told me that she is very happy because you can see properly on the screen and also she can press the buttons without making any mistakes.
One of the most beneficial features of this phone is the SOS button which is conveniently located at the back of it and in order to activate the alarm it has to be long pressed and my grandmother tested this for a couple of times and when the alarm is activated makes a very loud noise which we can hear from anywhere in the house.
It has a good signal which is important for my grandmother because she skipping this phone with her at all times and the battery is another strong point because it lasts for around two days on a single charge with typical use which includes making phone calls because my grandmother unfortunately she can assign text messages.
This is a reliable phone which is easy to charge because it comes with a charging dock so my grandmother doesn’t have to plug any cables which gives her the peace of mind that even when we are not at home she can charge the phone whenever she wants to.
It is a simple phone to operate and this is the whole purpose of it.

SOSalarm is not that loud. I’d rate it probably 3/5.
The back cover is not that sturdy, made from flimsy plastic, and is not easy to fit.
Overall, it is a decent phone for elders, tho the quality is fair. Recommendable.
Great phone for my grandfathe
My grandfather is 72 years old and he told me he cannot use the smartphone anymore because it’s not convenient for him and he asked me to get a normal phone and after some research I have seen this one which was looking interesting.
It is a basic phone with normal functionality but still the most important thing is that it does the job that my grandfather needs it for which is to make and receive phone calls.
It was easy to set up and I just had to plug in the SIM card and after this the battery and then the phone was ready to be used. He took my grandfather around 30 minutes to get used with it and he told me that the buttons are very easy to press and he can see properly on the screen because the font is quite large and one feature that really caught my attention is the fact that this phone has at the back an SOS button which I have tested and once it is long pressed the phone starts in alarm which can be heard from a long distance.
I have set the volume of this phone to the maximum and I have asked my grandfather if he can hear it properly and he told me that he never misses a call and in his case the battery lasts for around two days and a half (he is not using the phone that much) charging process is very simple because he just has to put it in the dock. A full charge takes just over an hour and so far the performance of this phone didn’t disappointing any way and my grandfather is happy to use it.
Great back to basics phone for the tech unsavvy
This phone is a great option for anyone looking to simplify their connection with their mobile and remain contactable.
the large buttons and easy to read display along with the simplified interface should be easy for most people whom this is intended for to understand with a reasonable amount of coaching.
the charger stand is a nice addition and will make it easy to keep charged and close to hand when leaving the house for people not used to carrying a mobile with them at all times.
i previously reviewed another phone from this company which was more compact and while useful also I’ve found that this model is much more intuitive and easier to use than that one and feel much more confident in my elderly relatives ability to use this one than the other one so I am very happy with this.
Good for the elderly for quick and easy contac
This is a simplified smart phone designed for the elderly that does a pretty good job of it. It has big numbers, an SOS button and a charging dock.
As landlines are being phased out, this would function as a reasonable replacement. It runs off the 4G network which is the most widespread and widely usage network band. It also comes with 3G and 2G coverage — although these are being switched off soon in the UK if they haven’t already been.
It comes in a small neat package and is generally basic and practical. It’s not like a typical smart phone, in terms of running apps and banking and games and all that malarkey. It’s been dumbed-down by design, so that it is predominantly for making phone calls.
This would be good for someone who is very elderly and who needs to get in touch with people in a hurry and nothing else. It’s not so suitable for somebody who needs or wants a fully fledged smart phone. At this price point it is possible to get a more specced-out, basic smartphone that can run the full-fledged android apps.
But that lack of features, is a plus for its intended purpose – Making calls (and maybe texts sometimes). The SOS button is handy in case someone has a fall – without the faff of unlocking it, figuring out the menu, finding the right contact and calling them. Ultimately meaning they can get help in a hurry.
Large screened and clear to use, but not suitable for all
A clear-screened simple phone for those who are happy to ‘downgrade’ to something like this, or to move away from a landline
Positive points
– The screen is large and a good resolution, therefore making it very clear
– The menus are simple and easy to navigate
– The charging dock is a nice touch for someone who is more used to a cordless landline/dock
– USB-C on the handset itself if your relative is away from home and needing a standard charger
– Price is reasonable
Minus points:
– My biggest issue – The rear cover is nigh-on impossible to remove and to reseat. If you need to change SIM card or fully power off and back on by removing the battery, anyone with limited eyesight or mobility will need assistance from someone else.
– Secondly (and similarly) first time refitting the rear panel I was unable to seat it home – one catch hadn’t latched and couldn’t be pushed into place
– This is a hard sell for anyone used to a smart phone. Relatives turning 80 turned their nose up at this as they preferred their iPhones.
– Call quality was mixed during testing – though our smart phones at home often move onto ‘wifi calling’ so may vary by area
