Wärmer System Water Bibcock Tap 1/2 inch BSP with Brass

Excellent tap with locking nu
This is an excellent outside tap, especially the lock nut which allows you to line the tap up correctly and lock it in position this is a great idea, why most other outside taps don’t have this I don’t know. I’ve used other taps in the past where you have to add amounts of plumbers tape to try and line the tap when fitting. It also has a nylon washer already fitted, great value and super easy to fit 10/10 highly recommend.

Does the job
I bought this because i didn’t know if i could fix or re-washer our nice ‘ducks head’ brass tap that we inherited with the house, and didnt want to be without water or re-fitting something that still had a problem, and when i fitted this it worked well, even though i didnt use the collar it came with as i didnt want to risk damaging the pipe which was tighly stuck in, so needed a bit of PTFE tape as it wouldnt tighten perfectly and vertically. Fast forward a few hours i managed to fix our old tap, so put this in the shed as a spare, BUT only a few weeks later i noticed a neighbours outside tap leaking badly while they were on holiday, so rang his daughter to turn off the water while i replaced it for him, much to the relief of all of them for what was an easy 10 minute job i did for free (good aint i !!). I know my little story has nothing to do with the purchase, but it fit easily and worked as intended in 2 places, cost under a tenner if i remember rightly, so is well fit for purpose, and if i ever needed another or am asked for a recommendation wouldnt hesitate to say this one.
