Excellent - give it time
Initially i thought this was a dud as nothing happened for 2 weeks. And then it just starting gathering more and more flies. Currently it’s still active and has well over 100 large flies inside it.
Very Effective
If you have a fly issue, get this, follow the instructions and leave it!!
Great size, better than expected performance, great value for money, really does control the flies situation.
Sturdiness is a bit questionable. The handle for hanging is a bit flimsy in a slight breeze. I replaced it with some wire and never had an issue after.
Great trap
I buy two of these every year and they do exactly what they say. I don’t have any flies in my garden so I feel safe to eat on the patio especially when the grandkids come round. I’ve had one hanging from the side of my shed for just over a week and it’s nearly half full already. Excellent.
Can’t speak more highly of this fly Trap… Works to keep flies well away from your home or area…
Ensure you don’t hang this near your windows or open door, or the flies will be attracted there.. keep it at least 15 feet away if possible.. and you’ll never see another fly or wasp in your home. Do remember this fills up with flies very fast.. within one week in summer you can have hundreds of flies in the trap which will create a real stink. Another reason to keep the trap away from your open window or door.
The fly trap needs to be disposed of in a bag and into your refuse bin.. and or emptied out in a safe place like a compost heap and buried, and the Bait renewed.
I recommend always throwing the whole thing out… and replacing every 4 weeks in summer . You’ll wonder what you ever did without this if you live anywhere where flies and wasps are a problem
These work well, but be warned they work too well. They attract flies to the area you want to get rid of them. We found that placing it away from the affected area actually works better it will attract them away from where you want. If you place right where you want it to be fly free. It won’t work ad the chemicals attract ~millions of flies because it is so strong. Effective, but too effective!
Really works for capturing flies however I was not prepared for the smell! They need to be discarded regularly because the smell gets unbearable! Extremely good for catching flies though
This little bottle is amazing! We are in a rural hamlet in the South West and live on the same road as a farm, so flies are a constant issue, especially in the conservatory and loft. We have dealt with the loft issue using bug bombs and sealing a hole, but the conservatory was another story. Saw this, read the reviews and decided to try one. What a difference! After hanging it outside down the side of the conservatory in a tree, nothing much happened for a few weeks. OH decided it was in the wrong place so he moved it to a more open space next to the decking about 3m from the conservatory. Well, that worked!! I wouldn’t say it was shocking, but there was definately fly attraction and a few large wasps and over about 4 weeks it became more and more full of flies. We topped up the water level a couple of times but otherwise left it. The amazing difference is that there are very few flies coming into the conservatory (or house) now and it is a pleasure to use it again. Haven’t noticed any aroma but it’s not yet summer, so we’ll see. Some smaller less annoying flies still come in but definately not as many as before. Great product and cheap too! We’ve bought 2 more and may sign up to the subscription!
This really does what it says on the tin (well jar). Flies love this, in their thousands. Simply add water and leave for 48 hours. Put in the sun where you can and I assure you that within days you will have hundreds of dead flies and after 10 days that will be thousands. I’m not joking!!! It sounds disgusting I know but we had by-folds put in the back of our house and as you can imagine we saw more flies in the house. We added water to one of these bad boys and now no and I mean no flies indoors!! It seems whatever is in this is absolutely irresistible to flies. I will say that there is little to no smell until about a week, then it stinks! Keep in Mind there are thousands of dead flies and that is not a pleasant smell. We move to the end of the garden but throw away after 10 days. These jars of fly nectar are amazing and we will use again next year for when the sun is out, so flies beware!!
