Closing mechanism defective - but replacement provided and works perfectly
Update – I had an issue with the original case I was sent, but the seller was very helpful and arranged a replacement very promptly. The replacement works perfectly and my son is looking forward to filming out in the elements again. The customer service was fantastic!
[Original review – The case doesn’t work. The housing for the small screw in the black plastic part of the closing mechanism is defective. When you try to close the door this screw pops out, meaning the clip is loose, the door can’t close properly and the unit is never sealed. Will have to return (or if the seller could send out a replacement part it is an easy fix)
BTW – lens came complete with protector and is not scratched – no issues on that front]

having read some of the reviews before i was a bit unsure about purchasing it as some had came with a scratch on the lens as did one of mine but on closer inspection i found that there is a piece of plastic covering the lens as protector during shipping/handling remove this protector and hey presto you have a pristine lens with no blemishes
Dear all unsatisfied customers, I see you all had a panic when you saw the quality of the lens well I did also when I saw my case but I soon realised that its a protective cover. Simply peel off the cover and you have a unscratched surface.
Sturdy and Shrimp-proof!
This is a great little water proof case for my AKASO. The camera already came with a case but that one got scratched whilst filming a horse riding session. Great price and is super waterproof, used it to film long time-lapse videos in local rock pools. You’ll also be pleased to know it is shrimp proof!
