Fantastic - copes really well with varying light levels
These infrared binoculars are fantastic once you get used to all of the settings.
I have been having great fun following a hedgehog around my garden and the night vision even works through glass. It’s a great gift for anyone who loves getting out and about, taking photos of flora and fauna. The pictures and videos are very good quality, especially for the low light they were taken/recorded in.
If I’d reviewed these binoculars the instant I received them, my review would have been indifferent, however, having used them for a few months and become familiar with the various settings I think they are brilliant.
I’ve included a video in my review that was taken through double glazing, with varying light levels at dusk, and the binoculars coped very well.
Very highly recommended.
Superb, day or night.
Excellent quality both at night and also during the day, perfect for wildlife lovers and great for camping out in the wilderness. They can be mounted to a tripod for extra stability and then used to watch, photograph and film all the fascinating creatures around you. The display is big and clear, and the controls are all easy to navigate and use.
The presentation is also excellent and would make a great gift. The outer box has a very premium feel and the binoculars themselves come in a very nice hard case. Also included is a strap, carabiner clip with built in compass, cleaning cloth, USB charging cable and even a 32GB MicroSD card (it can support up to 512GB if you find that isn’t enough).
Image and video quality is very good and it really does work in total darkness thanks to the 3 levels of IR. Files can then be transferred to you PC or tablet to view on a larger screen and share if you wish. The binoculars are robust and well protected from the elements and the hand grips feel good to hold.
The only negatives really is that there is a lip around the compass on the underside that means the tripod mount doesn’t sit completely flush, it’s not a massive issue, but seems a little unnecessary.
The box that goggles come in is extremely well made. Very solid and well designed. Inside the box you have the goggles housed in its own storage hard based zipped cover that also is well made. You also get a clip on compass when out and about in the wilderness and the goggles has a built in 2 mode light.
You can record videos or take photos as well and comes with a 32GB Micro SD card although its expandable up to 512gb. Also has a playback option.
Has a nice 4″ screen which you have to hold away from your face to view. Has a digital zoom so as you zoom in the resolution lessons which is usually the case with digital zoom. Is rechargeable with a 5000mah battery which is great for many hours of usage. Has a built in microphone and speaker.
Has a lot of useful purposes, could help you hike more safely in winter when it gets dark easily. You could use it in the woods to check out the wildlife. Have used it to look for our cat once it goes dark as he doesn’t always come in before dark and makes it easier to find him. Don’t like leaving him out at night due to the foxes.
Overall, it seems well made and has some useful everyday uses and some that you would use occasionally.
excellent performance
The infrared binoculars are fantastic for night vision, allowing me to see up to 600 meters away, which is great for hunting, camping, and observing wildlife. The f/1.0 HD camera captures high-quality images and videos, and the 5X digital zoom lets me get a closer look at distant objects without losing clarity. The night vision feature works exceptionally well, providing a bright and clear view even in complete darkness. The massive battery capacity keeps these goggles going for hours on a single charge. Using these goggles is straightforward, and the controls are easy to understand. The build quality feels sturdy and durable, making them reliable for outdoor use.
Great Fun - Great Quality
This is a great device. The picture quality is really good. Far better than my last one which cost the same amount from Amazon last year.
It’s a sturdy well-built device. My favourite setting is the picture stabiliser. This is great taking out the natural shaking of your hands when zoomed in.
The downside for some is that you have to look at the screen from a distance. This will light your fave up in the night if you are trying to keep yourself hidden.
Underneath is a temperature display that is a nice extra, and it comes with a micro SD (32GB).
I have added this to my van’s dash and will keep it close in case of accidents but mainly as a tech display device as I have a Ghostbuster Ecto.
All in all, a great device for hunters, campers or just for fun.
4****
Genuinely Amazed
When I got this out of the box, I was immediately sceptical. It feels and looks like a child’s toy (it’s built well, but all lightweight plastics), and when I powered it on and heard the distinct chimes of a dashcam startup sound I was worried.
I had tried it a few times round urban areas with low level lighting and been unimpressed, as it wasn’t giving me much more than I could already see.. however tonight I took it to Yorkshire wildlife parks hex hotel and used it in a really dark and distant environment.
I’m blown away, in pitch black conditions where I cannot see out further than maybe 70m or so, this thing can still see in colour heading out towards 500m, and somehow the IR illuminator still makes an impact at that distance. I have no idea how this works so well. It destroys my gen 1 night vision scope (which is admittedly 20+ years old).
The ability to record video or photos is just another benefit of the digital technology here.
It looks like a toy, and I’m not sure how well it’ll hold up too rough use (the screen in particular is a worry as it’s a big unprotected slab of thin glass), but the claims of ip65 seem plausible (mines been rained on twice now and still working), with the voucher it’s well under 100 and at that price it’s a bargain in my eyes if you need the ability to see at night.
I went in very unsure this would compete with a proper night vision scope and came out convinced this is the future of budget night vision.
Fantastic Night Vision Goggles for Nature Lovers
I’ve been quite impressed with the CIGMAN Night Vision Goggles. These aren’t your standard night vision devices; they come loaded with some fantastic features. First off, the 4-inch HD 1080P display is incredible. I no longer need to squint through a viewfinder or struggle to see in low light. During a recent night hike, I easily spotted various nocturnal animals with the goggles’ infrared capabilities. The images were crisp and clear, making my adventure truly enjoyable.
One of the standout features is the 5000mAh rechargeable battery. It lasts for hours, eliminating any fears of being left in the dark. The charging process is straightforward, and it’s quite handy not needing to carry spare batteries around.
Using them during the day, I was surprised by the excellent picture quality. Capturing 4K video and high-resolution photos adds another layer of utility, making them ideal for daytime hikes as well. The device is a bit bulky, but it’s well-made and comfortable enough for extended use. All in all, the CIGMAN Night Vision Goggles are certainly worth the investment for anyone keen on nighttime exploration or capturing stunning daylight scenery.
Great bit of ki
I’ve really enjoyed testing these while on evening dog walks. When I took these goggles I didn’t think they would be any good however they really are. Would be great for anyone who is into exploring at night. There is a little bit of learning and practice to do with dialing in the focus and settings but I’ve been playing round with it in the evening for a number of weeks now and starting to get quite good at it.
Comes with an SD card which you can record the footage to or take photos. Battery life is really good. I charge it every time after I use it however this can go for a number of hours without charging.
Great value for money.
Night vision works well, heavy and has good hard case.
Both my partner and I were really happy to give these a try, we both enjoy walking and watching all the lovely birds and animals around us. We live in the countryside so have wild deer and an amazing array of birds around. I was surprised at how heavy these are, they are certainly not lightweight or flimsy, I would like to see the strap mounts beefed up a bit though. They come with a good quality hard zipped case for protection. I like that the memory card is included. Do read the instructions first, they aren’t hard to use but if you have never used digital binoculars before you might do what I done and looks through the wrong end first time lol. The screen is a decent size for viewing, and the buttons are easily accessible. There are 3 night modes that you can switch between, I was surprised at how well it works, even in true darkness. Soon as the weather warms up, I shall get out of the garden and into the countryside and hopefully get some nighttime deer footage to upload.
New car smell
I loved as soon as I opened the box I was greeted with new car smell. It looks and smells premium.
The product was not a let down. It was on par if not better than the last night vision device I tried.
This has a lot of different options and I would highly advise getting used to what they all do before using this in the field. Recording and changing settings is fairly straight forward. The only setting I don’t understand is why the light button goes to strobe first and then on a second press is a solid light. I think the strobe should be harder to activate and definitely second if at all.
I’m not sold on the 4K quality. It is definitely good quality imagery but the shutter seems quite long I guess to help the exposure. The display is definitely HD (1080p at most) not 4K.
It is easy enough to charge and the in built battery lasts a decent amount of time. You can also dull the screen by pressing the power button rather than holding which turns it completely off.
Great value for the price (especially with the current voucher making it 89.99)
They are also very giftable for the nature enthusiast in your life
Turns midnight wanderings into high-definition escapades
Gather ’round, nocturnal adventurers and armchair stargazers alike – the CIGMAN Night Vision Goggles are here to turn your midnight wanderings into high-definition escapades. Whether you’re spying on wildlife, scouting for Bigfoot, or just trying to find your way to the loo at night, these bad boys have got you covered.
First off, the 4-inch HD 1080P display is a marvel. Forget squinting through tiny viewfinders – this screen gives you a full cinema experience, right there in the dark. The clarity is top-notch, making those late-night jaunts through the woods feel like a walk in the park. The infrared capabilities mean you’ll see everything, even in pitch-black conditions. Perfect for when you absolutely, positively have to see what’s making that rustling noise in the bushes.
The 5000mAh rechargeable battery is a beast. It keeps the goggles going strong for hours, so you won’t find yourself left in the dark halfway through your nocturnal adventures. Charging is straightforward – no need to carry around spare batteries or a portable power plant. Just plug them in and you’re good to go.
Now, let’s talk about that f/1.0 HD camera. It’s like having a mini spy cam built right into your binoculars. Capture all the nocturnal action with ease. Whether it’s documenting your night hikes, capturing wildlife in its natural habitat, or just recording your friends tripping over roots, this camera does it all with aplomb.
The 5X digital zoom is a mixed bag. It’s great for bringing distant objects into view, but don’t expect crystal clear clarity at full zoom. Still, for most purposes, it’s more than adequate. Perfect for spotting that elusive owl or checking out what’s going on at the far end of the campsite.
In conclusion, the CIGMAN Night Vision Goggles are a fantastic piece of kit for anyone looking to turn night into day. They’re durable, easy to use, and packed with features that’ll make your nocturnal explorations a breeze. So grab a pair, head out into the night, and let the adventures begin!
A week of playing
At the time of this review you can buy these binoculars for around 90 as there is a 30 discount on at the moment
I own a couple of pairs of binoculars and monoculars. A bit of casual bird watching and photography not even enough o call it a hobby , just a casual interest.
When I ordered these ‘ night vision binoculars ‘ for 90 my expectation was fairly low.
Well I was wrong to expect a fairly inexpensive product to be poor quality , I think these are really good and not just at night.
Okay they are chunky for use during the day but
They come with a neck strap,
you get the ability to take 4k pictures / video,
Using a screen means you can still wear your glasses,
They come really nicely boxed for storage when not being used
They feel like a quality product.
Over the last week I have been playing with these in the garden during the day and night.
Your switch off the backlit button light with one switch..
The instruction manual is quite detailed.
I worked out about 40% on my own but you do need to read the manual to get the best from these
I will be taking them out over the next few weeks to have a play on some walk near me and around the local reservoir which has numerous birds and wildlife. I am really looking forward to using them more.
If you are thinking about buying some I would definitely recommend them, I hope the review is helpful
A good, reasonably priced night vision device with a range of functions.
My initial impression of this device was that it was a superb multi functional device and extremely well made.
It comes beautifully packaged and is of very good quality construction.
The device is operated by means of buttons on the top using long presses or short presses to access the various menu and mode functions.
It has a digital viewing screen which is great for spectacle wearers, you can hold it away from your face when using it for observations and taking pictures and videos.
It comes with a range of accessories including a memory card. It has a massive battery storage capacity of 5000mAh. It is manual focus and has a 5X zoom facility.
I found the photo and videoing process slightly clunky but it will capture images in night and day.
It is a good night vision device with a range of facilities that some will find useful and at a reasonable price.
Very effective (IR & starlight mode), well designed, feel great. Need to hold away from face
PROS
-these work great, both in starlight mode, and with extra infrared illumination (which can be projected really far away, up to 600m, according to this listing)
-easy to use (you just need to memorise the buttons, so you can use them in the dark)
-they feel great in the hand, really well built
-excellent case: solid, but not too bulky, very protective
-comfortable strap (neoprene padded)
-32GB microSD card included
-they are stabilised (digitally)
-digital zoom (though the resolution drops as you zoom in)
-large battery, they go quite a long time between charges
-really excellent presentation, would make a great impression as a gift
-can turn loop recording on or off (I prefer it off, why risk over-writing something important?)
CONS
-you don’t hold them to your face, you hold them away from your face. It’s a bit awkward, and not as steady as when holding binoculars against your face.
-holding these away from your face also allows light emitted from the screen to shine in others’ eyes (who may have tried to dark-adapt their eyes)
-they are a little heavy, especially compared to a (lower tier) pair of night vision binoculars I also have
NOTES
-the supplementary “tactical” light is a bit confusing to me. When you first turn it on, it’s a strobe light, then you click to a continuous light. The strobe effect is either for a quick disco, or it’s for protection (I doubt I’ll need either, when I’m out observing wildlife in the UK), but perhaps some might find it handy.
MY STAR RATINGS:
1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
Pro level
I didn’t know what to expect from this device, having never owned or seen anything quite like it. I have owned binoculars of course, but never ones that could also take a picture or video, especially at night. As soon as I began the unboxing process, these shouted quality. The two nicely printed awards achieved by the company were the first elements visible. Below that was a nice black envelope containing a sheet of information about the buttons, and a nicely detailed info booklet printed on high quality paper. Finally at the bottom of the box was a high quality hard case containing the precious cargo.
The device itself is like something from a sci fi film, which upon reading the leaflet is exactly what the company had in mind when designing it. After some time familiarising myself with the buttons and how to’s I was ready to give it a go. It is quite easy to use once you get the hang of it, and pictures and video in 4k quality can be shot in both night and day. So far, having tested it in the day the quality of the photos is great, and focusing and adjusting brightness etc is simple. Picture quality is superb, and even though I am yet to actually capture any nature, this device is the perfect way of doing that. I can’t wait to get out and test the infrared more fully, but overall this is a great gadget and one I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
It’s well built, comfortable to hold, and does its job perfectly. I would have liked to zoom out a little more to take some close up photos and not just distance. But for distances, it does exactly what you want it to do. 5*
AMAZING & FUTURISTIC!
Honestly amazed by how futuristic this product is, like it seems too good to be true, feels like something right out of a spy movie, or star wars. I think its to this product’s detriment that its advertisement focuses mainly on it being “night vision”; I say that because I was amazed by its ability in the day time. The picture quality is 4k and you can tell without needing to put it on a 4k tv screen, that the definition is super crisp. Honestly I don’t think I have seen something with such quality and detail except from a blue planet episode. I was amazed by the detail you could get on something so close up (I will upload some photos in the near future so you can see, after I have played about with it a bit more). So if you are thinking you wouldn’t get much use out of this at night then can I encourage you to think again and consider that it is worth it for its day time use! You can capture pictures and videos of such good quality that you will never get from your usual camera or phone; so if you knew you were going on some hikes etc. in the day then consider this as being more than adequate for the job of capturing stunning scenery. I cannot recommend this product enough, and would boast of its use for during the day more than the advert even lets on.
