Well worth the money !
We had had a problem with ants inside the wall under the bay window for weeks and was recommended these by a colleague. Within a couple of days the ants had gone ! Can’t recommend enough !!
Clean and effective in a cheap price
This is a best ant killer rather then a powder, I have used it in my home and lawn and found so much effective. Price of this product is also very cheap as compared to other products in a market that are not so much effective and also expensive then this ant killer. I suggest everyone to try at least one time in your home. I have very good experience and satisfied with this product. Highly recommended for everyone also I order again.

The only previous experience I had with ant poison was Mum’s home made poison as a child, which we were vigorously warned to avoid at all costs. With this in my mind, it wasn’t something I wanted to have to deal with. I put so much effort into making my garden an oasis, that when I discovered a busy ant trail running the length of my new decking, I knew I had to bite the bullet.
Things have clearly changed a lot in the last 25years, because this experience couldn’t be further from my childhood! This solution is very easy to use, and you don’t even have to get your hands dirty – it’s all safely enclosed. You simply break away the tabs so the ants can mosey on in for a snack. This was important to me having pets as well.
It works incredibly fast; I put it out in the afternoon and the next morning the ants were nowhere to be found. It blew away my expectations; I wish I had this much luck with all the other pests in my garden! Highly recommended.
Very effective - no more ants. How safe to non-ants?
We chose this double pack of ant killers, as we have discovered an ant’s nest in our back garden.
They are easy enough to use – it’s necessary to break off three plastic nubs that exposes the fluid inside – the idea being that the ants are baited inside, get covered in the solution, then transport it back to their colony.
We placed the bait station in a high traffic area for the ants and left it a week. At the time of writing we have noticed a significant reduction in the number of ants in the area. So we are hopeful that it has done its job.
A couple of points to make:
– The plastic nubs are a little tricky to break off, however there is a knack to it.
– Although the product is designed so that it is not so easy for pets or children to get inside, it is clear that this can be a dangerous solution. It is to be expected, as it is after all designed to destroy ants, but caution should be exercised if you do have curious pets, or children!
We are happy with its effectiveness, just a little unsure about its overall safety to non-ants. It does do what it is designed to do though and has been very good for that purpose.
Simple to use
It is constantly raining now so it is hard to say or confirm if it works in 100%
When there is bad weather less ants show up so cant see clearly the difference.
I don’t see any of them, but that could be because of the cold summer.
I’m waiting maybe till July when the proper sun comes in and they all start marking territory.
It is small, simple to use, anyone can do it. Keep away from childrens.
Clean and effective, but rather expensive
This is a review of the Frixon 2-pack of Nippon brand Ant Killer Bait Stations. Compared to the white powder that I have used in various locations around the outside of the house and garden (greenhouse and shed), these are a ‘cleaner’ but more expensive solution to eradicating ant colonies. With the powder you see white-coated ants going about their business for a few days, but gradually declining in numbers until the powder has done its job back at ant HQ. I am using these traps in our gazebo where I don’t want to have white powder all over the place, but I do want to eradicate the ants that are colonising somewhere under the paving, and in the pots of our expensive topiary bushes. On the first day there was a steady stream of ants going into and out of each trap. Next day there were significantly fewer, and this morning there are just a few stragglers wandering around. The traps are effective but due to the price I will continue to use the powder version in places like the shed, where it is out of sight.
Pair of anti-ant things
As the weather gets nicer, along come ants that are again finding their way indoors. Have therefore deployed these outside where they have been seen congregating. With the first one I used my fingers to break off the tabs, but found that awkward so used a pair of flat pliers for the second one, much easier and less liquid getting onto my fingers and thumb. Always wash hands after handling these things.
These are the same brand as some ant powder I’ve previously used, so hopefully they will meet their claim of spreading back to the ant colonies. Will have to see in due course if fewer or no ants are getting indoors, but initially it was already attracting numerous ants to crawl all over one of them.
Effective insecticide in bait box
I ordered this in preparation for a potential ant invasion. Last summer there were loads of ants in my kitchen, it was really stressful I didn’t know where they were coming from and I didn’t want to use ant powder in the house.
This pack contains two ant bait station which are enclosed plastic boxes containing insecticide. Each station measures approx. 8cm x 8cm x 2cm. When ready to use snap three lugs to open holes into which ants can enter and leave the bait stations. The idea is the black “worker” ants collect the poisonous bait and take it back to the colony which should then hopefully be entirely wiped out.
Although enclosed in a plastic box, it is still poison and care must be taken not to use where food or water could become contaminated and away from the reach of children and pets. Care must also be taken when disposing. The bait station is effective for 1 month and can be used indoors or outdoors.

I noticed a lot of ants scurrying around the planters along my front wall — I could have put down some ant powder but that gets very messy and is hazardous to bees, so I prefer not to use it. These bait stations however keep the ant killer (a thick liquid) confined to a very small space and it doesn’t get washed away so easily by the rain. The bait stations are easy to tuck away out of sight. I found the plastic tabs that plug the entrances to the bait stations difficult to break with my fingers and had to use pliers. I’ve just put one out among my planters where I saw the ants, because I don’t know where their nest is. I’ve used this product before and know it to be effective.
The current price is 9.90 — that’s a bit expensive for this product.
