Good
I’m happy with that and my daughter live to play with it, just the instructions are not really clear to understand, but definitely not value full price, and really good for to give like a present.
Perfec
Bought this in the Prime Day for my daughter for Christmas thought the box would have been like cheap you get in other stores but good & heavy with plenty of games.
Games which have stood the test of time adapted to favoured cartoon characters
One of my five year-old grandson’s favourite programmes is Nickleodeon’s Paw Patrol, and with long winter nights soon approaching looking to give him and his elder siblings something to keep them occupied in the evenings took a big step forward with this set of Paw Patrol themed games when offered for review under the Amazon Vine programme. Aimed at a minimum age of four due to the use of small parts, there are a wide variety of largely traditional games tweaked to include favoured characters within the product box:
* Tic Tac Toe
* Draughts
* Go Fish
* Memo Match
* Bingo
* Hide and Seek
* Colour Match
* Colour Race
Manufactured by Spinmaster in China presumably under licence, the games are all for 2-4 players, which encourages sharing and friendly competition. Everything comes in a tightly packed cardboard box which might give issues when trying to put back, with a mixture of cardboard and plastic parts — all attractively coloured. The only negative is the use of LDPE plastic for keeping some parts, such as the draughts under control during transportation, so these will need to be promptly removed by an adult.
The box carries the following symbols:
* EU CE mark confirming that it is completely safe for children above 3 and means that it is manufactured from non-toxic materials, with smooth, rounded edges featured throughout.
* The new post-Brexit UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking
* The standard recycle mark
* The warning sign symbolising unsuitable for 0-3 years, almost certainly because child of these ages could choke on small parts
* Gulf States G Mark safety logo
Parts included are:
* Game Board
* 2 x punch sheets
* 1 x label sheet
* 6 x double sided game cards
* 36 x playing cards
* 2 x side walls
* 2 x crossbars
* 1 x bottom brace
* 4 x L-clips
* 30 x draughts pieces
* Instructions
At 19.99 there is plenty of variety here to keep kids occupied over dark winter evenings. Whilst the cardboard could take a battering from young hands its fairly common in board games. The plastic is good quality and should last; save if they get clumsily trodden on. I think that game play of the type offered here encourages lateral thinking and learning, something both grandparents are keen to encourage. Friendly competition too is a good lesson for later life, showing getting better through practice, as well as encouraging interaction and sharing — a factor so often missing from many computer based games. I like this set, enthusiastically received by my grandson with the Paw Patrol characters drawing him in. This is a largely traditional set, with some of the games encouraging thinking, teaching strategy and close observation, and thus holding the attention amongst the target age group. The selection of games might be judged as basic, but they are games which have stood the test of time. Draughts for instance will hopefully encourage an interest to learn chess in later life.
A one hit ... wonder why I got i
Apparently my daughter (9) had heard of this but since I hadn’t it can’t be something she watches very often, either way it was worth giving a go to see how well she liked it.
Initially she was intrigued by the concept and liked the headbands, if not for the game just because they were kitty themed. The excitement quickly wore off and given that I wasn’t pestered to sit down and play I can only guess that she didn’t feel like this was something she was in to..
Objectively, I wouldn’t say its the most sturdy of games, with the accessories being cardboard any moisture or heavy handling could cause them to become unusable – hardly wipe clean pieces for sticky little hands.
8 games in 1
Very nice idea. Definitely the children don’t get bored with 8 games in 1!
It is definitely for children older than 3 years old infact it is recommended for children 4 and above. My three years old son was very excited, he opened everything, mixed everything, broke a couple of things, and off he goes. My six years old on the other side did not want to play with it. It probably attracts 4 and 5 years old more.
Anyway, it has 8 types of games, they come with instructions which personally I did not find very easy to understand. I had to wait for my husband to join me and explain a few games.
The price is quite good considering there are several games, not one only.
A fun se
Gabby’s dollhouse 8 games in 1
What a fun and adorable way to play with non-tech games for the little ones.
In this set you have frame pieces, which can be put together to create your game boards and backgrounds. You have counters for different games. Different types of cards for different games too and more.
The games are –
* Tic tac toe
* Draughts
* Go fish
* Memory match
* Bingo
* Hide and seek
* Colour match
* Colour race
I do think this is a good set but it would have been much better, had there been a little booklet of sorts, to show each game and explain the rules for each game too. Other than that, I think it’s adorable and the kids have enjoyed learning some new games. I would recommend it.
Eight games in this Gabby Dollhouse themed box se
Priced 13.33 at the time of this Amazon Vine review, this genuine and licensed Gabby’s Dollhouse product.
This product is nicely presented in a colourful, attractive and very giftable box. The set includes eight games: tic-tac-toe, draughts, Go Fish!, memory match, bingo, hide and seek, colour match and colour race. Some of these games are more familiar than others, but this would make a lovely Christmas present as something the whole family could enjoy during the festivities.
Aimed at children 4 years and over and for two to four players, this themed games’ set represents good value for money, and I am happy to recommend at the current price point. As other reviewers have commented, it is perhaps not the most robust set, but I am certain it will last as long as the child is interested in Gabby’s Dollhouse and/or the product itself.
My 5 year old girl was extremely excited to play this game, the gabbys doll house branding and glitter on the game box immediately appealed to her and would definitely grab the attention of kids of a similar age.
The game is a board game, with very strong Gabbys doll house branding and concept throughout and is quite different to other board games we payed, rather than being a common game with character branding added on top.
The instructions are pretty clear, although you need to go to the middle of the instructions booklet to find the English version.
Set up is quick and easy and it was easy enough for my daughter to grasp and follow
The concept is to place the room decoration cards onto the doll house board, to all work together to decorate the whole house
Meanwhile, players are collecting charms for their cat ear headband
The game also has a Gabby card riding and elevator which moves up and down the board, just like her elevator in the Netflix show.
The artwork and details of the game are lovely, but I reduced one star as the game play itself can get a bit repetitive and takes a while to finish considering it’s not that complex of a game. However, Gabby fans will love to give it a go and if you’re a fan of collaborative games where everyone wins then it’s a good choice as this game you are all working together to complete the dolls house (only compete over number of charms on the ears)
The charms and the ears appealed to my daughter a lot. Be aware the ears are not that big or comfy to wear for adult players if you play it with your child, but for kids it’s very comfy and the charms stay on with no problem.
